水红花（不以多少一半炒用一半生用）
上一味，粗捣筛，每服二钱匕，水一盏，煎至七分，去滓温服，食后临卧，日三。
治瘰 已破，疮口浸淫脓水不绝，及治一切恶疮，贴之去恶肉，好肉自生。神应膏方

上三味，同研和匀，洗干疮口，用此药贴之，后可服血竭散。
治瘰 已破，脓水不止者。血竭散方
血竭（炒研一分） 大枣（二十枚青州者烧为灰） 生干地黄（焙半两别杵为末）
上三味，都细研如粉，以津唾调贴疮上。
治瘰 方破。比金散方
槟榔（不以多少）
上一味，端正者为细末，先以温浆洗疮，以软帛拭干，油调涂，日三上，用时看多少。
治瘰 毒瓦斯，郁结成脓，发泄不止。去毒散方
巴豆（一两去壳） 薄荷末（二两） 皂荚末（二两） 麝香（研一钱） 鲫鱼（一头
去肠肚）
上五味，研匀四味，入在鱼腹内，用泥固济，以炭火五七斤，烧存性，候冷取出细研，
每服一钱匕，用荆芥腊茶调下，日三服。
论述说：《内经》记载，营气运行不畅，逆乱于肌肉纹理之间，就会发生痈肿。大概是因为营气逆乱导致血液郁滞，血液郁滞则热邪聚集而化为脓液。瘰疬这种疾病，也是同样的道理。热气在体内结聚，搏结于肝脏，肝主筋，肝藏血，病程长久不愈，所以热邪聚集于血分，血液腐败而成脓。
治疗瘰疬结核生于颈腋下，外部形成痈脓的方剂：连翘丸方。
药材：连翘、玄参（切碎）、木香、枳壳（去除瓤部麸炒）、昆布（洗净去咸味焙干）、大黄（切碎微炒）、大麻子仁（熬制，各二两，单独捣碎）、升麻（一两）。
以上八味药，捣碎过筛成粉末，用炼蜜调和制成丸药，大小如梧桐子。饭前用枣汤或米饮送服二十丸，也可以做成散剂，空腹时用米饮调服。
治疗瘰疬因热毒风邪结成肿块疼痛，以及破溃流出脓水的方剂：散肿毒紫参丸方。
药材：紫参、连翘、丹参、苦参、滑石（各一两）、轻粉、麝香（各一分）。
以上七味药，捣碎过筛成粉末。另取玄参半斤捣碎，用好酒二升浸泡三天，然后揉搓取汁去渣。再取不蛀的皂荚子三百枚，炮热后捣成末，加入前面的玄参酒中，共同熬制成膏，与药末混合均匀，制成如小豆大小的丸药。每次服用一丸，煎黄芩汤送服。
治疗各种类型的瘰疬，不论病程长短，无论是否破溃或未化脓，以及各类痈肿疮疖均可治疗。恶实丸方。
药材：牛蒡子（四两，炒）、麝香（半两）、牵牛子（一两半，一半生用一半炒）、漏芦（去除芦头切碎，二两）、大黄（煨制）、薄荷叶（各二两）。
以上六味药，捣碎过筛成粉末。用羊胫骨骨髓打破，煎煮浓汁，制作大麦面糊，将药粉制成如梧桐子大小的丸药。每次服用十五丸，中午和临睡前嚼服，用薄荷汤送下。
治疗瘰疬已成疮且有脓，贴敷药物后服用的方剂：地胆丸方。
药材：地胆（去除头足翅，用糯米炒至米变黄）、斑蝥（去除头足翅，用糯米炒至米变黄）、牛黄（单独研磨，各一分）、芫青（十枚，用糯米炒至米变黄，去除头翅足）、生大豆黄（三十枚）。
以上五味药，将前四味捣碎过筛成粉末，加入牛黄再次研磨均匀，用炼蜜制成如梧桐子大小的丸药。每次服用一丸，空腹时茶送服，之后再服用常规的补益丸散。
治疗瘰疬肿核，结块坚硬不消散，以及脓汁旁穿，长久不愈的方剂：水红花饮方。
药材：水红花（用量不限，一半炒用，一半生用）。
以上一味药，粗捣后筛选。每次服用二钱匕，加水一盏，煎至七分，去渣温服。饭后及临睡前服用，每日三次。
治疗瘰疬已破溃，疮口浸淫流脓不止，以及治疗一切恶疮，贴敷可去除恶肉，使好肉自生的方剂：神应膏方。
药材：白芨、白蔹、当归、桂枝（去除粗皮，各一分）、附子（一枚，重一两半者，去皮脐）、乳香（缠裹，半两）、东南槐枝、柳枝（各二条，每条长七寸，切碎）、铅丹（三两）、巴豆（三分，去皮研碎）、清油（六两）。
以上十一味药，均切碎，在石器内，先放入油和白芨等药，煎至焦黑，用绵布过滤去渣。加入铅丹和巴豆，用慢火熬制药成膏。先用一碗水，投入药膏入水中，药膏在水中凝结成珠状为度。然后刮下装入瓷器内收贮。每次使用时……（原文此处截断，通常指适量涂敷患处）。
治疗瘰疬已破溃，脓血不止的方剂：紫金膏方。
药材：柳枝（三十条，每条长四寸）、槐枝（三十条，每条长四寸）、麻黄（六两，青色者）、乳香（单独研磨）、没药（单独研磨）。
以上六味药，将前四味捣碎过筛成粉末。先熬油令其沸腾，放入槐枝和柳枝，煎至黑色，去掉树枝不用。其次放入麻黄等药，熬制成膏。每次用油纸摊开涂敷贴于患处。
治疗瘰疬。贴疮蜂房散方。
药材：露蜂房（蜂蜜涂抹，文火炙至青色，半两）、羊屎（四十九枚，烧至白色）、皂荚（一梃，烧至烟尽）。
以上三味药，共同研磨混合均匀。清洗干燥疮口，用此药粉贴敷，之后可服用血竭散。
治疗瘰疬已破溃，脓水不止的方剂：血竭散方。
药材：血竭（炒研，一分）、大枣（二十枚，青州产者，烧成灰）、生干地黄（焙干，半两，单独杵成末）。
以上三味药，都细研如粉，用唾液调匀贴敷于疮上。
治疗瘰疬刚破溃的方剂：比金散方。
药材：槟榔（用量不限）。
以上一味药，选端正者研成细末。先用温浆水清洗疮口，用软帛拭干，用油调涂，每日三次，使用时视情况而定。
治疗瘰疬毒瓦斯郁结成脓，发泄不止的方剂：去毒散方。
药材：巴豆（一两，去壳）、薄荷末（二两）、皂荚末（二两）、麝香（研，一钱）、鲫鱼（一头，去肠肚）。
以上五味药，将前四味研匀，放入鱼腹内，用泥封固，用炭火五到七斤，烧至存性，冷却后取出细研。每次服用一钱匕，用荆芥腊茶调下，每日服用三次。
Commentary states: The *Neijing* (Inner Canon) records that when Ying Qi (Nutritive Qi) fails to flow smoothly and rebels within the muscle tissue, carbuncles and swellings arise. This is because Ying Qi rebellion leads to blood stasis; blood stasis causes heat accumulation, which transforms into pus. Scrofula (tuberculous lymphadenitis) follows the same principle. Heat qi knots internally, combing with and gathering at the Liver. The Liver governs the sinews and stores blood. If the disease persists for a long time without healing, heat accumulates in the blood, causing the blood to rot and transform into pus.
Formula for treating scrofula nodules occurring in the neck and axilla, externally forming carbuncles and pus: Liaoqiao Wan (Forsythia Pill).
Ingredients: Forsythiae Fructus (Liaoqiao), Scrophulariae Radix (Xuanshen, crushed), Aquilariae Lignum Resinatum (Muxiang), Aurantii Fructus (Zhike, pulp removed, stir-fried with bran), Sargassum (Kunbu, washed to remove saltiness and baked), Rheum Palmatum (Dahuang, crushed and slightly stir-fried), Cannabis Semen (Damaizi Ren, roasted, each 2 liang, pounded separately), Cimicifugae Rhizoma (Shengma, 1 liang).
The above eight herbs are pounded and sifted into powder. Honey is refined and used to bind the powder into pills the size of wutong seeds. Take 20 pills before meals with jujube decoction or rice water. Alternatively, prepare as a powder, taken on an empty stomach mixed with rice water.
Formula for treating scrofula caused by heat-toxin and wind pathogen forming painful swellings, as well as those ulcerated with discharging pus, to dissipate swelling and toxicity: Zishen Wan (Purple Ginseng Pill).
Ingredients: Codonopsis Radix (Zishen), Forsythiae Fructus (Liaoqiao), Salviae Miltiorrhizae Radix et Rhizoma (Danshen), Sophorae Flavescentis Radix (Kushen), Talcum (Huashi, each 1 liang), Calomelas (Qingfen), Moschus (Shexiang, each 1 fen).
The above seven herbs are pounded and sifted into powder. Separately, take 8 liang of Scrophulariae Radix (Xuanshen), pound it finely, soak it in 2 sheng of good wine for three days, then knead to extract the juice and filter out the dregs. Take 300 non-rotten Gleditsiae Sinensis Fructus (Zaojiazi), roast them until hot, and pound into powder. Add this powder to the Xuanshen wine mixture and boil together into a paste. Mix evenly with the herb powder and form pills the size of small beans. Take one pill per dose, administered with Huangqin Tang (Scutellaria Decoction).
Formula for treating various types of scrofula, regardless of duration, whether ulcerated or not, and whether pus has formed, as well as all kinds of carbuncles, sores, and boils: Eshi Wan (Arctium Pill).
Ingredients: Arctii Fructus (Eshi, 4 liang, stir-fried), Moschus (Shexiang, 0.5 liang), Pharbitidis Semen (Qianniuzi, 1.5 liang, half raw and half stir-fried), Euphorbiae Humifusae Radix (Loulu, rhizome head removed, crushed, 2 liang), Rheum Palmatum (Dahuang, baked), Menthae Haplocalycis Herba (Bohe Ye, each 2 liang).
The above six herbs are pounded and sifted into powder. Break down sheep tibia bone marrow and boil to make a thick juice. Use barley flour paste to bind the powder into pills the size of wutong seeds. Take 15 pills per dose, chewed at noon and before bed, washed down with Bohe Tang (Mint Decoction).
Formula to be taken after applying topical medication for scrofula that has become an ulcer with pus: Dichan Wan (Ground Beetle Pill).
Ingredients: Mylabris (Dichan, remove head, feet, wings, stir-fry with glutinous rice until rice turns yellow), Meloides (Banmao, remove head, feet, wings, stir-fry with glutinous rice until rice turns yellow), Bovis Calculus (Niuhuang, ground separately, each 1 fen), Mylabris (Yuanqing, 10 pieces, stir-fry with glutinous rice until rice turns yellow, remove head, wings, feet), Glycine Max Seed (Sheng Dadouhuang, 30 pieces).
The above five herbs: Pound the first four into powder, add Niuhuang, and grind again until uniform. Bind with refined honey into pills the size of wutong seeds. Take one pill per dose on an empty stomach with tea. Afterward, take regular tonifying pills or powders.
Formula for treating scrofula swollen nodes, hard indurations that do not resolve, and pus draining laterally, persisting for a long time: Shuihonghua Yin (Polygonum Multiflorum Drink).
Ingredients: Polygoni Multiflori Caulis (Shuihonghua, amount unspecified, half stir-fried, half raw).
The above single herb is coarsely crushed and sifted. Take 2 qianbi per dose, add 1 zhan of water, boil until reduced to 0.7 zhan, filter and take warm. Take after meals and before bed, three times daily.
Formula for treating scrofula that has ulcerated with continuous oozing of pus, and for treating all kinds of malignant sores; applied topically to remove necrotic tissue and promote regeneration of healthy flesh: Shenyin Gao (Divine Response Ointment).
Ingredients: Bletillae Rhizoma (Baiji), Akebiae Caulis (Bailian), Angelicae Sinensis Radix (Danggui), Cinnamomi Ramulus (Gui, outer bark removed, each 1 fen), Aconiti Lateralis Radix Praeparata (Fuzi, one piece weighing 1.5 liang, skin and umbilicus removed), Boswelliae Resina (Ruxiang, wrapped), Branches of Southeastern Chinese Tallow Tree (Dongnan Huaizhi), Salix Twig (Liuzhi, each two branches, 7 cun long, finely chopped), Minium (Qiandan, 3 liang), Crotonis Fructus (Badou, 3 fen, skin removed and ground), Refined Oil (Qingyou, 6 liang).
The above eleven ingredients are finely chopped. In a stone vessel, first add the oil and Baiji etc., fry until charred black. Filter through silk cloth to remove dregs. Add Qiandan and Badou, simmer slowly over low heat until the ointment forms. Test by dropping the ointment into a bowl of water; it should form beads. Scrape off and store in a porcelain container. Formula for treating scrofula that has ulcerated with unceasing discharge of pus and blood: Zijin Gao (Purple Gold Ointment).
Ingredients: Salix Twig (Liuzhi, 30 branches, 4 cun long), Pruni Ramiculus (Huaizhi, 30 branches, 4 cun long), Ephedrae Herba (Mahuang, 6 liang, green stems), Boswelliae Resina (Ruxiang, ground separately), Myrrha (Moyao, ground separately).
The above six herbs: Pound the first four into powder. First boil oil until bubbling, add Huazhi and Liuzhi, fry until black, remove branches. Then add Mahuang etc., simmer into an ointment. Spread onto oiled paper and apply topically.
Formula for treating scrofula ulcers: Fengfang San (Honeycomb Powder).
Ingredients: Apis Florentis Nidus (Lufengfang, coated with honey, roasted over gentle fire until blue-green, 0.5 liang), Sheep Feces (Yangshi, 49 pieces, burned until white), Gleditsiae Sinensis Fructus (Zaojia, one stick, burned until smoke ceases).
The above three herbs are ground together and mixed uniformly. Wash the dry ulcer surface and apply this powder. Subsequently, Xuejie San may be taken.
Formula for treating scrofula that has ulcerated with unceasing discharge of pus and water: Xuejie San (Dragon's Blood Powder).
Ingredients: Dracaena Sangue (Xuejie, stir-fried and ground, 1 fen), Jujubae Fructus (Dazao, 20 pieces from Qingzhou, burned to ash), Rehmanniae Radix Preparata (Sheng Gan Dihuang, dried and baked, 0.5 liang, pounded into powder separately).
The above three herbs are finely ground into powder. Mix with saliva and apply topically to the ulcer.
Formula for treating recently ulcerated scrofula: Bijin San (Gold-Comparing Powder).
Ingredients: Arecae Semen (Binglang, amount unspecified).
Select straight Arecae Semen and grind into fine powder. First wash the ulcer with warm grain vinegar, wipe dry with soft cloth, mix with oil for application. Apply three times daily, adjusting amount as needed.
Formula for treating scrofula where toxic vapors knot and form pus, with unceasing discharge: Qudu San (Toxin-Removing Powder).
Ingredients: Crotonis Fructus (Badou, 1 liang, husked), Mint Powder (Bohe Mo, 2 liang), Gleditsiae Sinensis Fructus Powder (Zaojia Mo, 2 liang), Moschus (Shexiang, ground, 1 qian), Crucian Carp (Jiyu, one head, intestines removed).
The above five herbs: Grind the first four uniformly, place inside the fish belly. Seal with mud and burn with charcoal fire (5-7 jin) until "preserving nature" (carbonized but not fully ashed). Cool, remove, and grind finely. Take 1 qianbi per dose, administered with Jingjie and aged tea, three times daily.
