Discourse states: The *Neijing* (Inner Canon) mentions Jueyin Liver Malaria. When affecting the meridians, it causes lower back pain, fullness in the lower abdomen, and difficulty urinating resembling strangury (obstruction of urine flow), yet it is not true strangury; instead, there is frequent urination, a sense of fear, Qi deficiency, and abdominal depression. When affecting the zang organs, it causes a pale greenish complexion and frequent sighing. The condition appears as if the patient were dead. Treatment involves needling the Foot Jueyin Liver Meridian, because this meridian circulates around the genitalia; when pathogenic factors invade this area, it leads to lower abdominal fullness and urinary difficulty. The Liver is regarded as the "General," from which strategies and deliberations arise; thus, disease manifests as fear and Qi insufficiency. "Pale green" corresponds to the color of the Liver.
