It is stated that injuries caused by metal blades may result in evisceration (prolapse of intestines) or severed evisceration. Based on the severity of the symptoms, one can determine survival or death. If only one end of the intestine is visible, it cannot be sutured. If accompanied by unbearable abdominal pain, shortness of breath, and inability to eat, treatment will be futile within one day at the earliest or three days at the latest. If both ends of the intestine are visible, they should be quickly sutured using thread made from the bark of *Broussonetia papyrifera* (Paper Mulberry), or hemp thread. Chicken blood should be applied to the gap to prevent Qi leakage, and the intestine should be pushed back inside. The wound should then be sutured with the aforementioned thread, also coated with chicken blood. For intestines that have prolapsed but are not severed, juice from a barley porridge should be used to wash the intestine before reinsertion. The wound should be sutured as described above. Subsequently, drink rice gruel for more than twenty days, gradually transitioning to thick liquid food. Rice can be consumed after one hundred days. Food intake must not be excessive, as overeating causes intestinal pain; decoctions or powders should be taken regularly to assist digestion.
For all injuries caused by metal blades, arrowheads, falls, blows, cat or dog bites, even those leading to death, apply medicine immediately to the wound site. If the blood turns into yellow fluid, applying medicine again will save the patient, eliminating pain. In cases of internal injury where blood enters the Zang-Fu organs, boil urine from a young boy, add a small amount of wine, and administer one large Qian-bi dose; immediate effect is expected. If an ox gore causes intestinal prolapse without damage, immediately reinsert the intestine. Use the fine hairs from the tip of *Broussonetia papyrifera* bark as thread to suture the abdominal wall. Apply medicine to the suture line; hemostasis leads to recovery. If *Broussonetia papyrifera* is unavailable, raw hemp thread may be used. Do not seal or wrap the wound tightly, lest pus and blood form. If the wound is dry, moisten it with saliva before applying medicine. For women with postpartum retention of lochia, blood confusion causing syncope, evil blood rushing to the heart, fetal demise in utero, or retained placenta leading to death, if the heart area remains warm, immediately administer one Qian-bi dose mixed with young boy's urine to expel evil matter resembling pig liver slices. This prevents lifelong suffering from Blood Wind and Blood Qi disorders. If blood stagnates above the diaphragm, transforming into yellow fluid, it will be vomited out immediately or expelled via urination, yielding immediate results. Huarui Shi San Formula: Huarui Shi (crushed to coarse powder, 1 jin); Shangse Liuhuang (crushed to coarse powder, 4 liang). Mix these two ingredients evenly. Seal a clay jar using mud mixed with paper fibers. Once dry, place the herbs inside, seal the jar mouth, and sun-dry. Place the jar on a square brick inscribed with the Eight Trigrams and Five Elements characters. Cover with one cheng of charcoal, lighting fire from below upwards starting at Si-Wu hours. After overnight burning until charcoal is consumed, allow to cool, grind finely, sieve, and store in a porcelain container. Use according to method.
Ci Shi San Formula for treating evisceration from blade wounds: Ci Shi (ground); Hua Shi (ground). Mix equal parts of these two ingredients to an extremely fine powder. Take one Qian-bi dose per administration, mixed with warm wine. Take once on an empty stomach, once at noon, once in the evening, and twice at night. Additionally, apply Zhen Sha (needle sand) to the exposed intestine to facilitate its natural retraction.
Tie Jing San Formula for treating evisceration from blade wounds: Tie Jing Mo (ground); Ci Shi (ground); Hua Shi (ground). Mix equal parts of these three ingredients to an extremely fine powder. Dust onto the intestine. Then take one Qian-bi dose mixed with warm wine. Take once on an empty stomach, once at noon, once at night, and once again at midnight.
Xiao Mai Yin Chuang Fang for treating evisceration that cannot be reinserted: Boil three sheng of wheat in nine sheng of water until five sheng remain. Filter through silk cloth and let cool. Hold the liquid in the mouth and spray it onto the wound to gradually guide the intestine back in. Spray cold water on the patient's back. Avoid having many people witness this; bystanders should not speak, and the patient should not be informed. If the intestine has not yet retracted, hold the four corners of the mat the patient is lying on and shake the patient's entire body; the intestine will naturally retract within moments. For ten days, avoid overeating; eat small amounts frequently. Do not startle the patient, as shock may cause death.
Formula for reinserting completely prolapsed intestines from blade wounds: Take human dried feces powder, regardless of quantity, and sprinkle onto the intestine. Use thick starch paste to moisten the intestine, which will facilitate reinsertion. Wash the face with cold water to induce deep breathing, aiding reinsertion.
