论曰肾水也，脾土制之，水乃下行，今霍乱吐下，脾胃既虚，则土不能制水，故肾气上
乘于心，心气乃筑筑然而悸动也。
治霍乱吐下过多，脐上筑悸，恐作奔豚。理中去术加桂汤方
甘草（炙） 人参 桂（去粗皮各三两） 干姜（炮一两）
上四味。粗捣筛，每服三钱匕，水一盏，煎至七分，去滓温服不拘时。
治霍乱心腹筑悸。附子汤方
附子（炮裂去皮脐一两） 白茯苓（去黑皮） 人参 甘草（炙） 干姜（炮各二两）
上五味。锉如麻豆，每服三钱匕，水一盏，煎至七分，去滓温服日三。
治霍乱脐上筑悸，及四肢逆冷。附子汤方
附子（炮裂去皮脐半两） 半夏（生姜汁制炒） 甘草（炙各一两）
上三味。锉如麻豆，每服三钱匕，水一盏，枣一枚劈破，粳米一撮，煎至七分，去滓温
服日三。
治霍乱洞泄不止，脐上筑悸。干姜汤方
干姜（炮） 人参 甘草（炙各三两） 白茯苓（去黑皮） 陈橘皮（汤浸去白焙各四
两） 桂（去粗皮）
上七味。粗捣筛，每服三钱匕，水一盏，煎至七分，去滓温服，日三。
治霍乱脐上筑悸。平胃汤方

论述说：肾属水，脾属土，土能克制水，使水液向下运行。如今患霍乱导致呕吐和腹泻，脾胃已经虚弱，那么土就不能制约水，所以肾气向上侵犯心脏，心气于是感到心中悸动不安。
治疗霍乱呕吐腹泻过多，脐上跳动悸动，担心发作成奔豚病。理中去术加桂汤方
甘草（炙烤） 人参 桂枝（去除粗皮，各三两） 干姜（炮制，一两）
以上四味药。粗捣筛碎，每次服用三钱匕，用水一盏，煎煮至七分满，去掉药渣，温服，不限时间。
治疗霍乱心腹跳动悸动。附子汤方
附子（炮裂，去皮和脐，一两） 白茯苓（去除黑皮） 人参 甘草（炙烤） 干姜（炮制，各二两）
以上五味药。锉碎如麻豆大小，每次服用三钱匕，用水一盏，煎煮至七分满，去掉药渣，温服，每日三次。
治疗霍乱脐上跳动悸动，以及四肢逆冷。附子汤方
附子（炮裂，去皮和脐，半两） 半夏（用生姜汁制后炒） 甘草（炙烤，各一两）
以上三味药。锉碎如麻豆大小，每次服用三钱匕，用水一盏，大枣一枚劈开，粳米一撮，煎煮至七分满，去掉药渣，温服，每日三次。
治疗霍乱泄泻不止，脐上跳动悸动。干姜汤方
干姜（炮制） 人参 甘草（炙烤，各三两） 白茯苓（去除黑皮） 陈皮（热水浸泡，去除白色内瓤焙干，各四两） 桂枝（去除粗皮）
以上七味药。粗捣筛碎，每次服用三钱匕，用水一盏，煎煮至七分满，去掉药渣，温服，每日三次。
治疗霍乱脐上跳动悸动。平胃汤方
干姜（炮制，二两） 附子（炮裂，去皮和脐，半两） 人参 甘草（炙烤） 白茯苓（去除黑皮，各三两）
以上五味药。锉碎如麻豆大小，每次服用三钱匕，用水一盏，煎煮至七分满，去掉药渣，温服，每日三次。
治疗霍乱心下跳动悸动，肾气妄动。茯苓汤方
白茯苓（去除黑皮） 人参（各三两） 甘草（炙烤） 白术（各二两） 干姜（炮制，一两）
以上五味药。粗捣筛碎，每次服用三钱匕，用水一盏，煎煮至七分满，去掉药渣，温服，每日三次。
Commentary states: The Kidney belongs to Water, and the Spleen belongs to Earth; Earth controls Water, causing it to flow downward. Now, in cases of Huoluan (cholera-like syndrome) with vomiting and diarrhea, the Spleen and Stomach are already deficient. Consequently, Earth cannot control Water, allowing Kidney Qi to ascend and invade the Heart. Thus, Heart Qi feels palpitations and restlessness.
Formula for treating excessive vomiting and diarrhea due to Huoluan, palpitations and throbbing above the umbilicus, fearing the onset of Ben Tun (rushing pig disease). Lizhong Qu Zhu Jia Gui Decoction (Cinnamon Twig Decoction Modified from Lizhong Tang by Removing Atractylodes Macrocephala and Adding Cinnamon Twig):
Gancao (Prepared Licorice Root), Renshen (Ginseng Root), Guizhi (Cinnamon Twig, coarse bark removed, each 3 liang), Ganjiang (Prepared Dried Ginger, 1 liang).
The above four herbs. Coarsely crush and sieve. Take 3 qianbi per dose. Add one zhan of water, decoct until reduced to 70%, remove dregs, and take warm at any time without restriction.
Formula for treating palpitations and throbbing in the heart and abdomen due to Huoluan. Fuzi Tang (Aconite Decoction):
Fuzi (Prepared and cracked, black skin and navel removed, 1 liang), Baifuling (White Poria, black skin removed), Renshen (Ginseng Root), Gancao (Prepared Licorice Root), Ganjiang (Prepared Dried Ginger, each 2 liang).
The above five herbs. Cut into pieces the size of hemp seeds. Take 3 qianbi per dose. Add one zhan of water, decoct until reduced to 70%, remove dregs, and take warm three times a day.
Formula for treating palpitations and throbbing above the umbilicus due to Huoluan, as well as cold limbs. Fuzi Tang (Aconite Decoction):
Fuzi (Prepared and cracked, black skin and navel removed, 0.5 liang), Banxia (Pinellia Tuber processed with fresh ginger juice and stir-fried), Gancao (Prepared Licorice Root, each 1 liang).
The above three herbs. Cut into pieces the size of hemp seeds. Take 3 qianbi per dose. Add one zhan of water, one split jujube, and a pinch of Jingmi (Japonica Rice). Decoct until reduced to 70%, remove dregs, and take warm three times a day.
Formula for treating persistent profuse diarrhea due to Huoluan and palpitations and throbbing above the umbilicus. Ganjiang Tang (Dried Ginger Decoction):
Ganjiang (Prepared Dried Ginger), Renshen (Ginseng Root), Gancao (Prepared Licorice Root, each 3 liang), Baifuling (White Poria, black skin removed), Chenpi (Aged Tangerine Peel, soaked in hot water, white pith removed, dried, each 4 liang), Guizhi (Cinnamon Twig, coarse bark removed).
The above seven herbs. Coarsely crush and sieve. Take 3 qianbi per dose. Add one zhan of water, decoct until reduced to 70%, remove dregs, and take warm three times a day.
Formula for treating palpitations and throbbing above the umbilicus due to Huoluan. Pingwei Tang (Stomach-Pacifying Decoction):
Ganjiang (Prepared Dried Ginger, 2 liang), Fuzi (Prepared and cracked, black skin and navel removed, 0.5 liang), Renshen (Ginseng Root), Gancao (Prepared Licorice Root), Baifuling (White Poria, black skin removed, each 3 liang).
The above five herbs. Cut into pieces the size of hemp seeds. Take 3 qianbi per dose. Add one zhan of water, decoct until reduced to 70%, remove dregs, and take warm three times a day.
Formula for treating palpitations and throbbing below the heart due to Huoluan, and hyperactive Kidney Qi. Fuling Tang (Poria Decoction):
Baifuling (White Poria, black skin removed), Renshen (Ginseng Root, each 3 liang), Gancao (Prepared Licorice Root), Baizhu (Atractylodes Macrocephala Rhizome, each 2 liang), Ganjiang (Prepared Dried Ginger, 1 liang).
The above five herbs. Coarsely crush and sieve. Take 3 qianbi per dose. Add one zhan of water, decoct until reduced to 70%, remove dregs, and take warm three times a day.
