【高良姜】

Nature: Greatly warm. Indications: Treats wind-cold warm malaria, heat qi causing various epilepsy syndromes, expels evil pathogens, benefits large and small intestines, treats edema, wind swelling, bladder heat, shanghan chills and fever pathogens, stroke causing limb spasms and stiffness, stops diarrhea, dissipates carbuncles and swellings, evil accumulations, various scabies, tinea, insect sores, unblocks interstices, opens the nine orifices. *Yao Xing Lun* states: Han Fangji is the sovereign herb. Flavor bitter, slightly toxic. Can treat wind-stroke due to dampness causing deviation of mouth and eyes, hand and foot pain, dissipates retained phlegm, mainly treats lung qi cough and asthma.
