调和，酒服枣大二丸。
治疗咳嗽气逆的方剂。
生射干、款冬花（各二两）、紫菀、细辛、桑白皮、附子、甘草（各二分）、白蜜、竹沥，共十一味药。先将射干放入白蜜和竹沥中，煮沸五六次后去掉浮沫，将另外六味药切碎，用一升水浸泡一夜，煎煮至药液上下翻滚七次，滤去药渣，然后加入饴糖、姜汁，继续煎煮成膏状。服用时如酸枣大小的丸剂，每日三次。病情严重者，夜间加服两次。若症状未止，可增加剂量，以症状停止为限度。
治疗寒性咳嗽气逆、鼻窍不通利的方剂。
杏仁（五合）、五味子、款冬花（各三合）、紫菀、干姜（各二两）、桂心（三两）、甘草（四两）、麻黄（一斤）。以上八味药，用水一斗，先煮麻黄取四升药液，将其他药物研为细末，再加入胶饴半斤、白蜜一斤，混合倒入药液中，搅拌使药液均匀，煎煮至像饴糖一样的稠度。饭前服用，量如半个枣大小，每日三次。服药后若无明显效果，可适当增加剂量，以见效为限度。
又一方：治疗突然暴发性咳嗽导致失声、说话困难的方剂。
杏仁、姜汁、砂糖、蜜（各一升）、紫菀、五味子（各三两）、通草、贝母（各四两）、桑皮（五两）。以上九味药切碎，用水九升，煎煮取三升药液，滤去药渣，加入杏仁脂、姜汁、蜜、糖，调和均匀，用微火煎煮至四升。初次服用三合，白天两次、夜间一次，之后逐渐增加剂量。
五味子、款冬花、通草（各三两）、人参、青竹皮、细辛、桂心、菖蒲（各二两）、杏仁、姜汁（各一升）、白蜜（二升）、枣膏（三升）、酥（五升）。以上十三味药切碎，用水五升，用微火煎煮，药液上下翻滚三次，滤去药渣，加入姜汁、枣膏、酥、蜜，煎煮至调和均匀。用酒送服，如大枣大小的丸剂。
Formulas for treating cough with rebellious Qi.
Raw *Radix Belamcandae* (Shēyè), *Flos Dendranthemi Indici* (Kuǎndōnghuā) (each 2 liang), *Radix Asteris Tatarici* (Zǐwǎn), *Rhizoma Asari* (Xìxīn), *Cortex Morus Albae* (Sāngbáipí), *Radix Aconiti Lateralis Preparata* (Fùzǐ), *Radix Glycyrrhizae Uralensis* (Gāncǎo) (each 2 fen), *Mel* (Báimì), and *Succus Bambusae* (Zhúlì). Total eleven ingredients. First, place the *Radix Belamcandae* into the *Mel* and *Succus Bambusae*, boil five or six times, then remove it. Chop the remaining six herbs, soak them in one sheng of water overnight, and decoct until the liquid boils up and down seven times. Strain out the dregs, then add *Saccharum Candi* (Yítáng) and *Succus Zingiberis Recens* (Jiāngzhī), and decoct into a paste. Take as a pill the size of a sour jujube, three times daily. For severe cases, take twice at night. If symptoms persist, increase the dose until symptoms cease.
Formula for treating cold-type cough with rebellious Qi and nasal obstruction.
*Semen Pruni Armeniacae* (Xìngrén) (5 he), *Fructus Schisandrae Chinensis* (Wǔwèizǐ), *Flos Dendranthemi Indici* (Kuǎndōnghuā) (each 3 he), *Radix Asteris Tatarici* (Zǐwǎn), *Rhizoma Zingiberis Recens* (Gānjiāng) (each 2 liang), *Cortex Cinnamomi* (Guìxīn) (3 liang), *Radix Glycyrrhizae Uralensis* (Gāncǎo) (4 liang), *Herba Ephedrae* (Máhuáng) (1 jin). The above eight ingredients are decocted in ten dou of water; first decoct the *Herba Ephedrae* to obtain four sheng of liquid. Grind the other herbs into powder, then add half a jin of *Saccharum Candi* (Jiáyí) and one jin of *Mel* (Báimì). Mix well into the liquid and decoct until it resembles maltose syrup. Take before meals, in an amount the size of half a jujube, three times daily. If there is no effect, increase the dose until the desired effect is achieved.
Another formula for treating sudden onset of cough resulting in loss of voice and difficulty speaking.
*Semen Pruni Armeniacae* (Xìngrén), *Succus Zingiberis Recens* (Jiāngzhī), *Saccharum* (Shātáng), *Mel* (Mì) (each 1 sheng), *Radix Asteris Tatarici* (Zǐwǎn), *Fructus Schisandrae Chinensis* (Wǔwèizǐ) (each 3 liang), *Caulis Tetrastigmate* (Tōngcǎo), *Bulbus Fritillariae Cirrhosae* (Bèimǔ) (each 4 liang), *Cortex Morus Albae* (Sāngpí) (5 liang). The above nine ingredients are chopped, decocted in nine sheng of water to obtain three sheng of liquid, and strained. Add *Adipus Semen Pruni Armeniacae* (Xìngrénzhī), *Succus Zingiberis Recens* (Jiāngzhī), *Mel* (Mì), and *Saccharum* (Táng), mix well, and decoct over low heat to obtain four sheng. Initial dose is three ge, twice during the day and once at night, gradually increasing the dose thereafter.
*Fructus Schisandrae Chinensis* (Wǔwèizǐ), *Flos Dendranthemi Indici* (Kuǎndōnghuā), *Caulis Tetrastigmate* (Tōngcǎo) (each 3 liang), *Radix Ginseng* (Rénshēn), *Cortex Bambusae Viridis* (Qīngzhúpí), *Rhizoma Asari* (Xìxīn), *Cortex Cinnamomi* (Guìxīn), *Rhizoma Acori Tatarinowii* (Chāngpú) (each 2 liang), *Semen Pruni Armeniacae* (Xìngrén), *Succus Zingiberis Recens* (Jiāngzhī) (each 1 sheng), *Mel* (Báimì) (2 sheng), *Pasta Ziziphi Jujubae* (Zǎogāo) (3 sheng), *Butyrum* (Sū) (5 sheng). The above thirteen ingredients are chopped, decocted in five sheng of water over low heat until the liquid boils up and down three times, and strained. Add *Succus Zingiberis Recens* (Jiāngzhī), *Pasta Ziziphi Jujubae* (Zǎogāo), *Butyrum* (Sū), and *Mel* (Mì), decoct until well mixed. Take with wine as a pill the size of a large jujube.
