Indicated for nurturing life and prolonging longevity.
Cut one *shi* (approx. 120 jin) of Cortex Lycii Radicis (*Gouqigen*), add one *shi* two *dou* (approx. 144 jin) of water, decoct until six *sheng* remain. Clarify the liquid, then further reduce by boiling to obtain three *sheng*. Take one *dou* (approx. 60 jin) of clean wheat, select it carefully, and place it into the medicinal juice. Soak overnight, sun-dry twice, repeating the process until the juice is fully absorbed. Sun-dry thoroughly, pound into powder. Take one *cunbi* (approx. 5-10 grams) with wine, twice daily. Within a year, prepare and take one course in the second month and another in the eighth month; this will prevent aging throughout life.
Cut one hundred twenty *jin* of Cortex Lycii Radicis (*Gouqigen*). Boil in four *shi* (approx. 480 jin) of flowing water from the east for one day and one night. Obtain one *shi* (approx. 60 jin) of clear juice. Ferment using yeast according to home brewing methods. Once ripe, extract the clear liquid and store it in a non-leaky vessel. Add two *sheng* half of Powdered Rhizoma Rehmanniae Preparata (*Shengdihuang*), one *sheng* each of Cortex Cinnamomi (*Guixin*), Rhizoma Zingiberis Siccatum (*Ganjiang*), Radix Alismatis (*Zexie*), and Fructus Zanthoxyli (*Shujiao*), and two *sheng* of Radix Phytolaccae (*Shanglu*). Place these herbs in a silk bag, submerge in the wine, seal tightly, and bury three *chi* deep underground. Cover firmly. After twenty-one days (*3x7*), open it at dawn. The wine should be red like gold. Take half a *sheng* on an empty stomach in the morning. After ten days, all diseases will be cured; after thirty days, scars will disappear. For those suffering from severe diseases, mix one *sheng* of water with half a *sheng* of wine, divide into five doses, and consume to achieve cure. (According to *Qianjin Yifang*: If one wishes to consume mineral drugs, take two *sheng* of green-white stones from rivers, sized like dates or apricots. Boil them in three *sheng* of water for one boil. Add half a *he* of this wine to the mixture; it will become ready to eat shortly.)
(Treating myriad diseases)
Take twenty *jin* of Upper White Mica (*Shangbai Yunmu*), tear it thinly. Use eight *dou* (approx. 48 jin) of dew-water heated to make soup. Wash the mica with half of this water, repeating the process twice. Then, use another two *dou* of heated water, add ten *jin* of Natrii Sulfas (*Mangxiao*), and soak the mica in a wooden vessel for twenty days. Remove it, place it in a silk bag, and hang it under the eaves. Avoid wind and sunlight to let it dry. Soak again in water. Rub it inside a deer skin pouch from morning until noon. Sieve the residue through fine silk, rub again to obtain five *dou* of fine powder. Discard the remainder. Take one *dou* of powder, add two *jin* of Cliff Honey (*Yami*), and stir until it resembles porridge. Place it in a fresh bamboo tube, level the surface, seal with lacquer, and bury it six *chi* deep under the south bank of the north wall. In spring and summer, leave for forty days; in autumn and winter, leave for thirty days. Upon removal, it should resemble wet mud. If cavities remain, bury for another thirty days. Take one *he* of water and one *he* of the prepared medicine, mix well, and consume entirely. Take three times daily, with water temperature as preferred. After ten days, rice in a small box will turn yellow, indicating the treatment of Qi deficiency due to overwork and wind-rash. After twenty days, cold masses in the abdomen will dissipate. After thirty days, carious teeth will fall out and new ones grow. After forty days, one will not fear wind and cold. After fifty days, all diseases will be cured, and complexion will improve daily. Long-term continuous use leads to immortality and transcendence. I have verified this personally, hence I record it.
