治头面遍身风肿方。
防风（二两） 白芷（一两） 白术（三两）
上三味治下筛，酒服方寸匕，日三。
治猝中风头面肿方∶
捣杏仁如膏，以鸡子黄合捣令相得，敷帛上浓裹之自干，不过八九敷即瘥。
令白发还黑方∶
乌麻九蒸九曝为末，枣膏为丸，久服之。
又方 旋复花（一升） 桂心（一尺） 秦椒（一升） 陇西白芷（一升）
上四味治下筛，井花水服方寸匕，日三，服三十日白发还黑，禁房室。
治脉极虚寒，须发落堕，令发润泽方。
桑根白皮切三升，以水五升淹渍，煮五六沸，去滓，洗沐发数数为之自不复落。
又方 麻子（三升碎） 白桐叶（切一把） 上二味以米泔二斗煮五六沸，去滓，洗沐
则发
长，甚有验。
治发鬓堕落令生长方∶
生柏叶（一升、切） 附子（四枚） 猪膏（三升）
上三味为末，膏和，作三十丸，用布裹一丸，纳泔中煎，沐发长不落。其药密贮，勿令
泄气。
又方 柏子仁 附子 蔓荆子（各半两）
上三味以乌鸡膏和，捣三千杵，贮新瓷器中封百日，出以马鬃膏和敷头，讫巾裹之，勿
令见风，日三敷即生。（《肘后》不用柏子仁以酒渍泽沐）
又方 桑叶 麻叶等分 上二味泔煮去滓，沐发七遍长六尺。
又方 羊粪灰淋汤，三日一洗，不过十次大生。
治疗头面及全身风邪所致肿胀的方剂。

将上述三味药捣碎并过筛，用酒送服一方寸匕的药量，每日三次。
治疗突然中风导致头面肿胀的方剂：
将杏仁捣成膏状，与鸡蛋黄混合捣匀，涂抹在布上厚厚地包裹患处，待其自然干燥，不超过八到九次敷贴即可痊愈。
使白发变黑的方剂：
黑芝麻经过九次蒸制和九次暴晒后研成粉末，用枣膏作为粘合剂制成丸药，长期服用。
另一个方剂：
旋覆花（一升） 桂心（一尺） 秦椒（一升） 陇西产白芷（一升）
将上述四味药捣碎并过筛，用清晨第一次打的井水送服一方寸匕的药量，每日三次，服用三十日后白发可转黑，期间禁止房事。
治疗脉象极度虚弱寒冷、胡须头发脱落，并使头发润泽的方剂。
桑根白皮切细三升，用水五升浸泡，煮沸五六滚，滤去药渣，频繁洗头沐浴，头发自然不再脱落。
另一个方剂：
麻子（三升，捣碎） 白桐叶（切一把）
将上述两味药用米泔水二斗煮沸五六滚，滤去药渣，用来洗头沐浴，则头发能生长，效果非常显著。
治疗鬓角头发脱落使其重新生长的方剂：
新鲜柏叶（一升，切碎） 附子（四枚） 猪脂油（三升）
将上述三味药研成粉末，用猪脂油调和，制成三十个丸药，用布包裹一个丸药，放入淘米水中煎煮，用来洗头，头发能生长且不脱落。药物需密封保存，不要漏气。
另一个方剂：
柏子仁 附子 蔓荆子（各半两）
将上述三味药用乌鸡脂油调和，捣击三千下，储存在新的瓷器中密封一百天，取出后用马鬃脂油调和敷于头部，结束后用头巾包裹，不要让风吹到，每日敷三次即可生发。（《肘后备急方》中不用柏子仁，而是用酒浸泡后泽洗头发）
另一个方剂：
桑叶 麻叶 等分
将上述两味药用淘米水煎煮后滤去药渣，洗头七遍，头发可长至六尺。
另一个方剂：
羊粪灰淋出的汁液，每三天洗一次，不超过十次，头发会大量生长。
Formulas for treating wind-induced swelling of the head, face, and entire body.
Fangfeng (Radix Saposhnikoviae, two liang), Baizhi (Radix Angelicae Dahuricae, one liang), Baizhu (Rhizoma Atractylodis Macrocephalae, three liang).
Process the above three herbs by crushing and sieving them. Take one fangcunbi (a square-inch measure) with wine, three times daily.
Formula for treating sudden stroke causing swelling of the head and face:
Crush Xingren (Semen Armeniacae Amarum) into a paste, mix thoroughly with Ji Zi Huang (Yolk of Chicken Egg), apply thickly on cloth, wrap tightly around the affected area until it dries naturally. It will heal within eight or nine applications.
Formula to turn white hair black:
Wuma (Sesamum indicum L., black sesame seeds) steamed nine times and sun-dried nine times, then ground into powder. Form pills using Zaogao (Paste of Jujube Fruit). Take long-term.
Another formula:
Xuanjinhua (Flos Inulae, one sheng), Guixin (Cortex Cinnamomi, one chi), Qinjiao (Fructus Zanthoxyli, one sheng), Longxi Baizhi (Radix Angelicae Dahuricae from Longxi region, one sheng).
Process the above four herbs by crushing and sieving them. Take one fangcunbi with Jinghua Shui (well water drawn at dawn), three times daily. After thirty days of administration, white hair turns black; abstain from sexual intercourse during this period.
Formula for treating extremely deficient and cold pulse, loss of beard and hair, and promoting hair luster:
Cut Sanggen Baidi (Cortex Morii Radicis, three sheng), soak in five sheng of water, boil for five or six rolling boils, remove dregs, and wash/bathe the hair frequently. Hair will cease falling out naturally.
Another formula:
Mazi (Semen Cannabis, three sheng, crushed), Bai Tongye (Folium Toosendan, one handful).
Boil the above two herbs in two dou of Migan (rice washing water) for five or six rolling boils, remove dregs, and use to wash/bathe the hair. Hair will grow; this is highly effective.
Formula for treating hair loss in the temples and promoting regrowth:
Sheng Baiye (Folium Platycladi, one sheng, cut), Fuzi (Radix Aconiti Lateralis Preparata, four pieces), Zhigao (Medulla Suilla, three sheng).
Grind the above three herbs into powder, mix with Zhigao, and form thirty pills. Wrap one pill in cloth, decoct in rice washing water, and use to wash the hair. Hair will grow and not fall out. Store the medicine tightly sealed to prevent leakage of volatile components.
Another formula:
Baiziren (Semen Platycladi, half liang), Fuzi (Radix Aconiti Lateralis Preparata, half liang), Manjingzi (Fructus Viticis, half liang).
Mix the above three herbs with Wuji Gao (Fat of Hen), pound three thousand times, store in a new porcelain vessel, seal for one hundred days. Take out, mix with Mazong Gao (Fat of Horse Mane), apply to the head, cover with a turban, avoid exposure to wind. Apply three times daily to promote hair growth. (Note: *Zhou Hou Bei Ji Fang* does not use Baiziren but instead soaks herbs in wine to wash the hair.)
Another formula:
Sangye (Folium Mori), Maye (Folium Cannabae) in equal parts.
Decoct the above two herbs in rice washing water, remove dregs, and wash the hair seven times. Hair can grow up to six chi long.
Another formula:
Yangfen Hui Lin Tang (Lixivium from Sheep Dung Ash). Wash once every three days. Within ten washes, significant hair growth occurs.
