There was a case where a patient previously suffered from wind disorders and heat from mineral drugs (*Shire*), exposed themselves to cold drafts while sweating, consumed alcohol, and engaged in sexual activity leading to deficiency. In late spring, they contracted an epidemic disease, which improved by mid-summer but left them weak with residual wind-heat. The excessive potency of medicinal minerals damaged Stomach Qi, causing abdominal distension hard as stone, obstructed Qi movement, followed by diarrhea. Later, it transformed into wandering edema of the four limbs, urinary retention, and chronic use of purgatives led to sudden vomiting, inability to eat, hiccups affecting all meridians, symptoms resembling sighing and spasms. After many days, this evolved into upward rushing Qi. Taking this formula with the addition of 2 liang of *Xingren* (Armeniacae Semen Amarum) for two doses stopped the upward rushing Qi. Avoid *Haizao* (Sargassum), raw vegetables, and *Songcai* (Chinese cabbage). (Same as *Fan Wang Fang* and *Jing Xin Lu*, found in Volume XIX)
