Treatment for Wind Affecting the Head and Face. This condition arises from bodily deficiency, where the Yang meridians are invaded by wind pathogens. All Yang meridians ascend to the head and face. Physical exertion and labor cause Yang Qi to dissipate, opening the Cou Li (skin pores), thereby allowing wind invasion; this is termed "Shou Feng" (Head Wind). The symptoms include excessive sweating on the head and face, aversion to wind, and severe cases may present with headache. Additionally, exposure to wind immediately after washing hair also results in Shou Feng.
Another method: Use white alum (text fragmentary), comb through the Five Tong Mai (referring to multiple meridians of the head) with hands. Another method: Close the eyes and inhale through the nose to dispel head wind. When experiencing headache, hold breath to make nasal passages extremely clear, then lie supine to rest.
