【病源】所谓尸疰，就是五尸中的尸疰。它兼夹外来的鬼邪之气，流注于身体，使人出现寒热往来、淋漓不尽的症状，神情沉默不语，不知道具体哪里痛苦，但全身各处都感到不适厌恶。有的表现为腹痛胀满，气喘急促无法呼吸，气逆上冲心胸，向两侧胁肋攻窜；有的表现为肿块突起如螺状，或者筋脉拘挛牵引腰脊；有的表现为全身沉重，精神错乱，经常觉得头昏神志不清。每当节气改变时，就会引发严重的疾病，积月累年，逐渐加重。（出自第十三卷）
【删繁疗尸疰损鼻方】如果闻到哭声，或看见尸体就发作，可用死人睡过的席子煎汤服用。
取死人睡过的席子，以及棺材内剩余被丢弃在路上的部分，用量为一虎口宽（约三寸长），仅取这一种药材。用水三升，煮取一升药液，作为一次服用的量。立即见效。（出自第十卷）
【文仲疗尸疰方】
用新布包裹花椒，敷贴在患部，用熨斗加热熨烫花椒，使患者出汗，立即验证有效。
【又姚氏方】
烧发灰、杏仁（炒至紫色，等分）。
以上两味药捣碎如脂状，用猪油调和，用酒送服，丸药大小如梧桐子，每次三丸，每日三次。效果神奇良好。（《千金方》相同）
【又鹳骨丸】治疗尸疰恶气，兼治百病的方剂。
鹳骨（三寸，炙）、桂心（三寸）、虻虫（十四枚，去翅足，炙）、巴豆（三十枚，去心皮，炙）、斑蝥（十四枚，去翅足，炙）。
以上五味药捣碎过筛，用蜂蜜和匀制成小豆大小的丸药。每次服二丸，每日三次，用清饮送服。忌食野猪肉、芦笋、生葱。（均出自第一卷）
【病源】所谓“注”，意思是停留、住留。指病情连绵停滞、住留不去，死后又能传染给旁人。注病的症状，有时忽冷忽热，有时皮肤瘙痒跳动，有时心腹胀痛刺痛，有时四肢关节沉重，变化多端。而医方中记载有三十六种、九十九种，以及这五种注病，都没有明确列出它们的名称。大体上与各种注病相似。（出自第二十四卷）
【删繁华佗录帙五疰丸】治疗中恶、五疰、五尸入腹，胸胁急痛，鬼击客忤，停尸垂死者。药物进入喉咙即愈。如果已经牙关紧闭，强行撬开；如果无法撬开，则叩齿折断药丸灌下汤药，配合饮酒送服即见效的方剂。
丹砂（研）、雄黄（研）、附子（炮制，各一两）、甘遂（半两，熬）、豉（六十粒，熬）、巴豆（六十枚，去心皮，熬至变色）。
以上六味药捣碎过筛，巴豆单独研磨成脂状，再与其他药混合捣匀调合。用白蜜和匀，装在密封容器中保存。如果有急症，服用胡豆大小的两丸，不觉更增药效，用饮汤送服。此药能治疗多种疾病，杀鬼解毒，破除积聚，去除水饮，疗效良好。忌食生冷血类食物、猪肉、芦笋。（《古今录验》相同，出自第九卷）
【短剧五疰汤】主治卒中贼风遁尸鬼邪，心腹刺痛、大胀急迫的方剂。
大黄（三两，另浸泡）、甘草（二两，炙）、乌头（十枚，炮制削皮）、生姜（半斤）、桂心（四两）、芍药。
以上八味药切碎，用水九升，煮取三升药液。乌头另外放入蜜中煎煮，取一升，倒入汤药中，去渣。分三次服用，每次三合。葱。（《千金方》相同，出自第四卷）
【古今录验五疰丸】又名神仙丸、千金丸、转疰丸、司命丸、杀鬼丸。治疗万病，邪鬼疰忤，心痛上气，厌梦蛊毒，伤寒时疾疫疠的方剂。
丹砂（研）、石钟乳（泥裹烧半天）、雄黄（研）、巴豆（去心皮，熬）、藜芦（熬）、附子（炮制，各二分）、蜈蚣（一枚，炙去足）。
以上七味药捣碎过筛，用蜂蜜和匀制成小豆大小的丸药。每次服一丸，每日一次，即可痊愈。如果未愈，半夜再服一丸定止。随身携带一丸可辟除恶气。忌食猪肉、冷水、生冷血类食物、狸肉。（出自第七卷）

[Pathogenesis] The so-called "Shi Zhu" (Corpse Transmission Disease) is the Shi Zhu among the Five Corpses. It combines with external evil qi of ghosts, flowing and accumulating in the body, causing alternating chills and fever, dripping sensations, silent demeanor, uncertainty about specific discomforts, yet a sense of aversion throughout the body. Symptoms may include abdominal pain and distension, rapid breathing with inability to catch breath, qi rushing upward to the chest and heart, attacking both flanks; or protruding lumps like snail shells, or spasms pulling the waist and spine; or heaviness of the whole body, mental confusion, frequent dizziness and delirium. Whenever solar terms change, severe illness ensues, accumulating over months and years, gradually worsening. (From Volume 13)
[Shanfan Liao Shi Zhu Sun Bi Formula] If triggered by hearing crying or seeing corpses, use decoction from mats slept on by the dead.
Take mats slept on by the dead, and remnants discarded from inside coffins on the road. Quantity: one tiger-mouth width (approx. three cun long). Single herb only. Boil in three sheng of water until reduced to one sheng. Take as one dose. Immediate effect. (From Volume 10)
[Wenzhong's Formula for Treating Shi Zhu]
Wrap fresh pepper in new cloth, apply to the affected area, and heat with an ironing pot to induce sweating. Immediate verification of efficacy.

Ash from burnt hair, Almond (Stir-fried until purple, equal parts).
Grind the above two ingredients into a paste-like consistency. Mix with lard (Su Gao), form pills the size of Sophora japonica seeds (Wu Zi), take three pills per dose, three times daily. Divine and excellent efficacy. (Same as Qianjin Fang)

Guanyou Bone (San Cun, Zhi/Cured), Guixin (Cinnamon Twig Heart, San Cun), Mengchong (Dragonfly Larva, fourteen pieces, remove wings and feet, Zhi/Cured), Badou (Croton Seed, thirty pieces, remove heart and skin, Zhi/Cured), Banmao (Mylabris Beetle, fourteen pieces, remove wings and feet, Zhi/Cured).
Grind the above five ingredients and sieve. Mix with honey to form pills the size of small beans. Take two pills per dose, three times daily. Advance with clear drink. Avoid wild boar meat, Asparagus cochinchinensis (Lusun), raw green onion. (All from Volume 1)
[Pathogenesis Note] The term "Zhu" (Transmission/Note) means staying or lingering. It refers to conditions that linger and stay, and after death, can transmit to others. Symptoms of Zhu disease include intermittent chills and fever, itching or jumping sensations on the skin, stabbing pain in the heart and abdomen, heaviness in joints and limbs, with many variations. Medical texts mention thirty-six types, ninety-nine types, and these five Zhu diseases, but do not explicitly name them. Generally, they are similar to other Zhu diseases. (From Volume 24)
[Shanfan Hua Tuo Record Zhi Wuzhu Wan] Treats Zhong E (Sudden Evil), Wuzhu (Five Transmissions), Wushi (Five Corpses) entering the abdomen, urgent pain in chest and flanks, Guiji (Ghost Strike), Keyu (Guest Hostility), Ting Shi (Stopped Corpse) in critical condition. Cure upon entering the throat. If jaw is locked, force open; if unable to open, grind teeth and crush pill to administer with decoction, advance with wine for immediate effect.
Dansha (Cinnabar, ground), Xionghuang (Realgar, ground), Fuzi (Prepared Aconite Root, each one liang), Gansui (Radix Kansui, half liang, Ao/Stewed), Chi (Fermented Soybean, sixty grains, Ao/Stewed), Badou (Croton Seed, sixty pieces, remove heart and skin, Ao/Stewed until color changes).
Grind the above six ingredients and sieve. Grind Badou separately into a paste, then mix and grind together. Combine with white honey. Store in a sealed vessel. For emergencies, take two pills the size of Vicia faba (Broad Bean). No further increase needed. Administer with drink. This medicine treats many ailments, kills ghosts, detoxifies, breaks accumulations, removes fluid retention. Excellent verification. Avoid raw blood products, pork, Asparagus cochinchinensis (Lusun). (Same as Jin Gu Lu Yan, from Volume 9)
[Duanju Wuzhu Tang] Mainly treats sudden attack of Zei Feng (Thief Wind), Dun Shi (Escaping Corpse), Gui Xie (Ghost Evil), causing stabbing pain in heart and abdomen, severe distension and urgency.
Dahuang (Rhubarb Root, three liang, soaked separately), Gancao (Licorice Root, two liang, Zhi/Honey-fried), Wutou (Aconite Root, ten pieces, Pao/Processed, peel removed), Shengjiang (Fresh Ginger, half jin), Guixin (Cinnamon Twig Heart, four liang), Shaoyao (Peony Root).
Cut the above eight ingredients. Boil in nine sheng of water until reduced to three sheng. Separate Wutou, cook in honey until reduced to one sheng, then add to the soup. Strain residue. Divide into three doses, take three he per dose. Green Onion. (Same as Qianjin Fang, from Volume 4)
[Jin Gu Lu Yan Wuzhu Wan] Also known as Shenxian Wan, Qianjin Wan, Zhuanzhu Wan, Siming Wan, Shagui Wan. Treats myriad diseases, evil ghost transmission hostility, heart pain with rising qi, nightmare dreams, Gu Du (Poison), Shanghan (Cold Damage), seasonal epidemics.
Dansha (Cinnabar, ground), Shizhongru (Stalactite, wrapped in mud and burned for half a day), Xionghuang (Realgar, ground), Badou (Croton Seed, remove heart and skin, Ao/Stewed), Lilv (Veratrum Nigrum, Ao/Stewed), Fuzi (Prepared Aconite Root, each two fen), Wugong (Centipede, one piece, Zhi/Cured, remove feet).
Grind the above seven ingredients and sieve. Mix with honey to form pills the size of small beans. Take one pill per dose, once daily. Recovery follows. If not recovered, take another pill at midnight to stop. Carry one pill to ward off evil. Avoid pork, cold water, raw blood products, civet cat meat. (From Volume 7)
