The term "Ming Tang" (Meridian Hall, referring to charts of meridians and acupoints) refers to the orthodox classic of Yellow Emperor, the legacy teaching of sages. The acupoints (Kong Xue) marked therein are all accurate and precise. Furthermore, Huangfu Yan (courtesy name Shian), a refined scholar of the Jin Dynasty, was deeply versed in medical arts. He compiled the *Jia Yi Jing* (Systematic Classic of Acupuncture and Moxibustion), establishing the three parts as the standard. Thus, the *Ming Tang* and *Jia Yi* constitute the secret treasure of physicians. Later learners should adhere to them. One must not casually follow heterodox theories, thereby deviating from the correct principles. Additionally, the twelve meridians of the hands and feet all have Shu points (Yu Xue, transport points). The hands and feet are the intersection of Yin and Yang, the pathways for the circulation of Blood and Qi. Externally they connect to the limbs and joints, internally to the Zang-Fu organs. Therefore, to trace the meridians of the Ming Tang, unless one possesses ancient divine understanding, who could achieve this? Hence, meridians are established to explain the origin of diseases, and diagrams are drawn to indicate the names and locations of acupoints. In recent times, having only meridian texts without diagrams makes it impossible to clarify the convergence of pulse and Shu points; having only diagrams without meridian texts makes it impossible to discuss the changes of myriad diseases (Bai Bing). Consequently, the locations of acupoints would be confused, which must not be neglected. Now, based on the orthodox text of *Jia Yi*, the human body height is seven chi five cun. (*Qian Jin Fang* states seven chi six cun four fen). We take half of this for the diagram scale, so the figure height is three chi seven cun five fen. (*Qian Jin Fang* states three chi eight cun two fen). The distance between acupoints is also halved, with five fen equating to one cun. The ruler used is the ancient chi. The twelve primary meridians are depicted in five colors, and the eight extraordinary vessels are marked in green. Various schools used three figures for their diagrams; now, following the twelve meridians, we depict the human form completely according to these twelve meridians. Meridians and Yin-Yang follow their respective categories. Therefore, decoctions attack internally, while moxibustion attacks externally, leaving no escape for disease. Knowing that the efficacy of Fire Mugwort (Huo Ai) exceeds half that of decoctions. Acupuncture has always been considered profound and obscure, incomprehensible to modern people suddenly. The classics state: "Acupuncture can kill a living person but cannot revive a dead one." If recorded, it might endanger life. Therefore, we do not record the acupuncture classics here, but only select moxibustion methods. Points marked with black ink are prohibited for moxibustion; points marked with cinnabar red are good for treating diseases with moxibustion. These are noted in the Ming Tang diagrams for everyone to review. The *Huangdi Suwen* explores the origins of meridians and acupoints, tracing the beginnings of myriad diseases. The *Jiu Juan* (Nine Volumes, i.e., *Ling Shu*), *Jia Yi Jing*, *Qian Jin Fang*, and the moxibustion methods of Zhen Quan, Yang Cao, and other experts, although unable to thoroughly exhaust the underlying principles, list the flow and transmission as well as lateral connections, ultimately describing the manifestations of diseases.
