The etiology lies in the fact that Lung Qi connects to the nose. When the Lung Zang is invaded by Wind-Cold pathogenic factors, the nasal Qi becomes disordered, and body fluids (Jin Ye) become congested and obstructed, leading to the formation of nasal polyps. Cold pathogens contend with Blood and Qi, causing stagnation and accumulation within the nose, resulting in nasal obstruction and difficulty breathing.
