Fructus Toosendan (Chuanlianzi), Fructus Evodiae (Wuzhuyu), and Fructus Foeniculi (Xiaohuixiang) are ground together into powder. Take Feimian (prepared wheat flour, one he) and mix with the medicinal powder, then place it inside a red silk abdominal pouch. Bind tightly around the lower abdomen.
The medicinal powder tends to sag; it is advisable to sew it securely with fine needles and dense stitches horizontally.

Wash the affected area with warm salt water solution. It will heal after several washes.

Old gourd (Chenhulu) is burned until "preserving its nature" (carbonized but retaining efficacy), ground into fine powder, and dusted on the affected area for effectiveness.

Chew Bai Guo (Ginkgo seed) until melted and rub onto the affected area. Alternatively, chew Tao Ren (Peach Kernel) until melted and rub onto the affected area.

Hu Jiao (Pepper, seven grains), Cong Xin (Scallion heart, two and a half cun), and She Xiang (Musk, one fen) are pounded into a paste. Melt Huang La (Yellow beeswax) and mix with the paste to form strips. Insert into the anus; recovery occurs upon sweating.

At the initial stage, pound soap into a paste and apply to the affected area for good effect. Alternatively, apply freshly pounded Rhizoma Acori Tatarinowii (Shengchangpu). Or, use Zao Jiao (Gleditsia sinensis fruit, charred) and Shui Fen (Lead carbonate, finely powdered), mix with hot vinegar to make a paste, apply to the lesion, and keep moistened frequently with water for effect.

(When occurring on the left hip, it is called Yu Kou [Fish Mouth]; when on the right hip, it is called Bian Du [Abscess]).
For those in the early stage without suppuration, mix Wu Bei Zi (Chinese Gall, fried yellow and powdered) with Bai Cao Shuang (soot from burning various herbs, equal parts), blend with vinegar, and apply to the affected area. It will dissipate within one day and night.

If the swelling initially resembles a small walnut, apply thick juice from Wasonhua (flower of Tile Moss) for immediate effect. Alternatively, dry it by baking, grind into powder, mix with egg white (Jizi Qing), and apply. If no pus forms, it resolves.

Snails (one tael, baked dry on tiles and powdered; snails from mulberry trees are better) are mixed with Zhu You (Pig fat) and applied for immediate effect. Alternatively, bake turtle head until dry, powder it, and support the affected area with paper. Or, take one large Snail (Lu Si), place one fen of Meihua Bing Pian (Borneol) on top; water will exude immediately, applying this is miraculous.

Long Gan (Dragon Liver, likely a specific mineral or prepared substance) and Ku Fan (Alum, calcined) are ground together and applied. Alternatively, heat Duan Shi (Burnt gypsum or similar mineral), wrap in cloth, and apply heat compress to the area while pressing to reduce prolapse; reapply when cool for immediate effect. Alternatively, use Yu Xing Cao (Houttuynia cordata, three liang), mash into a paste. First wash the anal lesion with Pu Xiao (Mirabilite) water, then sit on a banana leaf holding the medicine to allow natural reduction. Alternatively, use Zhu Zhi (Pig lard, one tael), refine to remove dregs, mix with Pu Huang Powder (Cattail pollen, one tael), apply to the anus to shrink it. Alternatively, pound Zhuma Gen (Ramie root) and decoct for fumigation and washing. Or, cut Hu Sui (Coriander, one sheng), burn to smoke and fumigate to achieve reduction, also known as Suo Gang San (Anal Reduction Powder). One Turtle Head, three fen Ming Fan (Alum), and three fen Wu Bei Zi (Chinese Gall) are ground into extremely fine powder and sprinkled on the area, also known as Bei Fan Jian. Three qian Wu Bei Zi (Chinese Gall) and a small amount of Bai Fan (White Alum) are ground into powder, decocted in one bowl of water, and used to wash for immediate effect. For postpartum rectal prolapse in women, sprinkle Wu Bei Zi powder on the affected area.
