Kill a white-feathered black-boned chicken (Baiwu Guji), cut it open, and remove the entrails. Apply the carcass directly to the heart region, and the condition will immediately heal. Alternatively, smear its blood on the heart region; this is also effective. (Chicken meat may also be used, or a toad (Lai Xama) can be cut open and applied to the heart region, which is also effective. After recovery, one must abstain from killing and practice releasing living beings to prevent further transmission.)
For treating plague (Wenyi), cold damage (Shanghan), seasonal pestilence (Shizheng), or chest oppression and fullness caused by anger after meals: heat up high-quality distilled liquor (Shaojiu). Dip a cloth in the hot liquor and rub downwards from the chest. Replace with a fresh hot cloth when the previous one cools down. Repeat this alternation several times until the qi flows freely and the patient recovers.
In cases where men, women, adults, or children suddenly suffer from severe abdominal pain leading to death within one or two shichen (2-4 hours), rendering herbal medicine and acupuncture ineffective due to urgency: quickly go to a ten-way intersection or the center of a crossroad, places frequented by people daily. Dig up several sheng (approx. 5-10 liters) of soil, mix with cold water to form pills the size of a chicken egg. Rub these mud pills vigorously inside and outside the patient's epigastrium for an extended period. When the pill becomes slightly warm, break it open to inspect. If wool-like fibers are found inside, the diagnosis is confirmed. Replace with a new pill and continue rubbing until no more wool-like fibers appear. Even if the patient has lost their pulse but the body is not yet cold, they can still be treated. If no wool-like fibers are found upon rubbing, it is not this specific condition; instead, use buckwheat flour (Qiaomian) applied according to the above method, which yields even better results.
Crush fresh cypress leaves (Cebaiye) to extract natural juice, mix with earthworm mud (Qiuyin Ni), and apply as a poultice.
This condition presents with swelling of the head and face and blockage of the throat. Urgently, combine Corydalis Rhizoma (Yanhusuo, 1.5 qian), Gleditsiae Fructus (Zaojiao), Ligusticum Chuanxiong Rhizome (Chuanxiong, each 1 qian), Veratrum Nigrum Rhizoma (Lilu), and Daphne Genkwa Flower (Zhizhuhua, 0.25 qian). Grind them into powder. Dip a paper twist into the powder and pack it into the nostrils to induce sneezing. Do this three to five times a day; it is very effective. Sneezing is particularly beneficial. Cases without sneezing are difficult to treat. Caregivers should also use this method to induce sneezing to avoid infection. Additionally, crush bald cypress leaves (Binbaiye), add a chicken egg (Jizi), earthworms (Quyin/Dilong, approx. 10+ pieces), and white sugar. Mix well, cover with a bowl or plate, and let sit for half a day until it liquefies (must liquefy within one day at latest). Another method involves crushing swallow nests with soil and feces, mixing with vinegar, and applying to the affected area for immediate cure. Another method: grind Euodia Fruit (Wuzhuyu) into powder, mix with vinegar, and apply to the sole of the foot (Yongquan acupoint area). Remove after one week; the swelling should subside. If not healed, reapply for another week; it will definitely be effective. Another method: crush a handful of Kalimeris Indica Herba (Malantou) to extract juice, apply with a goose feather to the affected area five to six times a day. This expels heat instantly and is miraculous.
