凡是眼珠被打出，或受到触碰损伤，或被火炮冲击伤，用南瓜瓤捣烂浓敷。外用布包裹好不要移动。逐渐固定。干了就再更换。如果瞳孔没有破裂，仍能视物，南瓜以越老越好。如果没有南瓜，用野三七叶敷贴。地黄浸酒捣碎敷贴也可以。（北方人称南瓜为倭瓜）。又用牛口涎每天点涂两次，避风即愈。忌酒。还有如火药冲击眼睛快要失明的人，急忙用热小便频繁清洗，自愈。又如眼珠受伤突出，赶紧揉回。当归、赤石脂末（各少许）掺在肉上贴敷。即愈。又眼目被打伤青肿，用……调涂。即有效。
Jujube fruits (with pits removed) are filled with Melanterite (Heifan). They are then roasted in charcoal fire and ground into a fine powder. Meanwhile, Mirabilite (Puxiao) is placed in a clay pot and boiled until it forms bead-like crystals. It is taken out and allowed to cool; grinding is not necessary. Mix the jujube-melanterite powder (1-2 qian) with Mirabilite (5-6 fen) evenly. Soak this mixture in boiling water overnight, then use the liquid to wash the eyes. Healing occurs after three to five applications.
Fresh green verdigris (3 qian, ground into powder) is mixed with raw honey to a thick consistency and applied to the inside of a coarse bowl. Mugwort leaves are burned to produce smoke, and the bowl containing the verdigris paste is inverted over the smoke for fumigation. This continues until the verdigris turns charred black. The bowl is removed and allowed to cool completely. The substance is then blended with human milk, steamed over rice, and applied to the affected area. This treatment also addresses wet rot, redness, and swelling around the eyes, as well as post-smallpox conditions (colloquially known as "stealing needle"). Rhizoma Aconiti Kusnezoffii (Sheng Nanting, processed rhizome of *Aconitum kusnezoffii*) and Radix Rehmanniae Preparata (Sheng Dihuang, fresh root of *Rehmannia glutinosa*), in equal parts, are pounded together into a paste and applied to both Taiyang acupoints (Sides of the head). The swelling subsides naturally. It is also effective for bites from bed bugs; apply daily with miraculous results. Additionally, shed snake skin can be applied. White Tuber Fritillaria (Baiji), ground with water, can be used as eye drops. Lean pork can also be applied. If pearl-like growths or fungal protrusions appear on the eyelids—hard, firm, but painless—wrap them with silk from spiders that span across houses (known as "cross-river" spiders), and they will fall off.
Old ginger is heated and applied to the Yintang acupoint (between the eyebrows), resulting in immediate healing.
If the eyeball is dislocated due to trauma, impact, or blast injury, mash pumpkin flesh and apply it thickly. Wrap externally with cloth and keep immobile. It will gradually settle in place. Replace when dry. If the pupil remains intact and vision persists, older pumpkins are preferred. In the absence of pumpkin, leaves of wild *Panax notoginseng* (Ye Sanqi) can be applied. Radix Rehmanniae Preparata soaked in wine and mashed can also be used. (In northern China, pumpkin is called "Wogua"). Apply saliva from cattle twice daily, avoiding wind, for healing. Avoid alcohol. For injuries caused by gunpowder blasts threatening blindness, frequently wash the eyes with hot urine for spontaneous recovery. If the eyeball is injured and protrudes, massage it back into place immediately. Apply a mixture of Radix Angelicae Sinensis (Danggui) and Powder of Red Halloysite (Chishizhi) (a small amount of each) onto meat and apply to the wound. Healing follows. For bruising and swelling from eye trauma, apply [mixture] for effectiveness.
Seeing black spots or fluctuating yellow-white visions indicates Liver and Kidney deficiency with upward attacking wind.
