(Hair loss and failure to regrow)
Bai Tu Chuang (White Baldness Tinea), caused by excessive fire and blood deficiency leading to infestation by parasites, is primarily treated with Mai Jian San. For cases where hair falls out and fails to regrow, pulverized Gu Sui Bu (Drynaria Rhizome) mixed with Ma You (Sesame Oil) should be applied topically.
Take one sheng of wheat, stir-fry until it turns withered yellow, and while still hot, grind it into powder in a mortar. Mix this with four liang of Liu Huang (Sulfur) powder and five qian of Bai Pi (Arsenic Trioxide) powder, stirring evenly. Once cooled, remove the mixture and add half a jin of Yan Jiao (Asphaltum/Natron), two liang of Chuan Jiao (Sichuan Pepper) powder, and two liang of Sheng Ku Fan (Unroasted Alum). Grind all ingredients together until extremely fine. Before use, wash the affected area with Cong Tang (Scallion Decoction). Apply two or three qian of the powder mixed with Ma You (Sesame Oil), cover with oiled paper, and secure. Change the dressing every three days; after three changes, the condition will heal.
Fen Ci (Acne/Pimples) and Que Can (Freckles) are caused by wind-heat and are primarily treated with Gai Rong Wan.
Da Bei Mu (Fritillariae Bulbus, heart removed), Bai Fu Zi (Typhonii Rhizoma), Fang Feng (Saposhnikoviae Radix), Bai Zhi (Angelicae Dahuricae Radix), Ju Hua Ye (Chrysanthemi Indici Folium), Hua Shi (Talcum) (each five qian).
Grind the above herbs into a fine powder. Steam a large bar of soap until cooked, remove the fibrous membrane, mash it, and mix with the herbal powder to form pills. Use for washing the face morning and evening.
Po Shang Feng (Tetanus resulting from trauma), caused by external pathogens invading following head injuries from falls or blows, leading to convulsions of the limbs and clouded consciousness, is primarily treated with Tian Ma San.
Tian Ma (Gastrodiae Rhizoma), Sheng Nan Xing (Arisaematis Rhizoma, processed to remove excess moisture), Fang Feng (Saposhnikoviae Radix) (each one liang), Jing Jie (Schizonepetae Spica) (three liang).
Grind the above herbs into a fine powder. Take five qian per dose. Administer with a decoction made from scallion whites (including roots).
After traumatic injury, if urination and defecation are unobstructed, Guang San Qi (Notoginseng Radix et Rhizoma) two to three qian can be decocted in wine and drunk. Alternatively, Ze Lan Tang (Lycopus Decoction) may be taken. If both urination and defecation are obstructed, Da Huang (Rhei Radix et Rhizoma) must be added. For open wounds, Xue Jie (Dragon's Blood) ground into an extremely fine powder can be dusted on the lesion. Jiu Ye San (Leek Leaf Powder) is also effective. The "Number One Golden Wound Medicine" used by me is optimal and ensures safety without worry.
Promoting the flow of urine and stool, and eliminating stasis in the intestines, constitutes a miraculous elixir for saving lives.
Ze Lan (Lycopus Herba), Dang Gui (Angelicae Sinensis Radix) (each five qian), Hong Hua (Carthami Flos) (one qian), Dan Pi (Moutan Cortex) (three qian), Qing Mu Xiang (Aucklandiae Radix) (one qian five fen), Tao Ren (Persicae Semen, skin and tip removed, crushed, ten kernels), Chi Shao (Paeoniae Radix Rubra) (one qian five fen).
Decoct in water and take with hot wine. If constipation occurs, add two to three qian of Da Huang (Rhei Radix et Rhizoma) stir-fried in wine.
Stops bleeding miraculously. Pound Du Shi (Calcined Hematite) together with Jiu Cai Ye (Allii Tuberosi Folium) into a paste, apply to a wall to dry, then grind finely and sieve for later use.
