Fan Hua Yang Mei Chuang (Flowering Chancre-like Syphilis Lesion)
Generally, the flowering chancre-like syphilis lesion is caused by the exuberance of damp-heat pathogenic factors. The exterior is deficient while the toxic pathogen is rampant, leading to this condition. Treatment should focus on resolving toxicity, clearing damp-heat, consolidating the exterior, and tonifying the middle jiao and boosting qi. Herbs such as Smilax Glabrae Rhizoma (Tufuling, 土茯苓) may be added. Patients must avoid anger and emotional agitation, abstain from sexual intercourse, and refrain from consuming "fa wu" (stimulating or allergenic foods). With such precautions, stability can be achieved. External application of point-in medicines and powder frost preparations yields miraculous effects.
Yin Yang Mei Chuang (Yin Chancre-like Syphilis Lesion)
The yin chancre-like syphilis lesion differs significantly from the yang type. This lesion appears red but does not elevate or ulcerate; it results from wind-heat toxicity affecting the blood. It is also said that men contract this through exposure to the turbid qi of female syphilitic infection. The treatment method involves adding herbs for treating chancre-like lesions, such as Smilax Glabrae Rhizoma (Tufuling, 土茯苓), to Si Wu Tang (Four Substances Decoction). Administration will lead to recovery.
Yang Mei Dou Zi (Chancre-like Pox)
Chancre-like pox indicates a mild manifestation of toxic vapors, suggesting robust vital qi or light pathogenic invasion. It is appropriate to use Tufuling Tang (Smilax Glabrae Rhizoma Decoction) combined with interior-supporting (tofu li) herbs for about ten doses, allowing the toxin to remain quiescent during the day. Sexual abstinence is required; otherwise, mild conditions may worsen into severe ones, or severe cases may become critical. Such outcomes are possible, so caution is essential. One must cherish their health diligently.
Yang Mei Gan Chuang (Chancre-like Ulcerative Lesion)
This occurs when interior-supporting treatments after contracting chancre-like lesions fail to fully eliminate residual toxins, causing the pathogen to reactivate. If located in the upper body, it erodes the nasal cavity until collapse occurs, destroying the face, mouth, and nose. If located in the lower body, it erodes the anus (gudao) causing rot, or erodes the penis (yujing) leading to amputation. Death is common. Careful preservation is advised. Internal administration of Xiaogan Tang (Eliminate Ulcer Decoction) and pills, along with external application of Hongfen Shuang (Red Powder Frost) preparations, will stabilize the condition.
Yang Mei Quan Chuang (Chancre-like Ring Lesion)
This ring-shaped lesion arises from mistakenly consuming liver, intestines, and other large organ meats during the onset of chancre-like lesions, causing recurrence after apparent healing. Treatment requires Tufuling Tang (Smilax Glabrae Rhizoma Decoction) combined with Xiaofeng San (Wind-Expelling Powder), followed by topical application of powder frost preparations for cure. If not treated early, it may transform into tinea (xuǎn).
