Gu Wei Chuang (Bone Withering Sore) initially presents as lesions the size of millet seeds or beans, red in color, gradually enlarging to resemble plums or peaches; this is caused by the accumulation of Fire-Toxin. If pus and blood fail to discharge, pain will not cease; treating it according to the methods for Ding Sores (Hard Carbuncle) yields success.
[Note] At onset, this condition resembles millet seeds or beans, appearing red and gradually enlarging like plums or peaches, resulting from Fire-Toxin. If blood does not exit and pus does not form, pain persists; if prolonged, it may spread over the entire body. Internal and external treatments should refer to the section on Ding Sores.
Feng Gan (Wind Chancre) presents with a morphology similar to Feng Xuan (Wind Tinea). Upon rupture, it exudes yellow fluid, accompanied by slight itching and pain. This is due to Wind-Dampness invading the anus (Gu Dao). Applying Ru Sheng Gao brings immediate results.
Ru Sheng Gao Formula: Dang Gui (Angelicae Sinensis Radix, 5 qian), Ba Dou (Crotonis Fructus, shelled, 3 qian). Use 8 liang of Sesame Oil to fry the two herbs until charred, then remove dregs. Add 3 liang of Beeswax, melt completely, remove from fire, and filter through silk cloth. When the ointment is about to solidify, add 2 qian of Qing Fen (Calomel), stir evenly, and apply.
[Prescription Verse] Ru Sheng Gao uses Dang Gui and Ba Dou, fried together in sesame oil; after charring, add wax and Calomel, apply when solidified to achieve efficacy for Wind Chancre.
Xue Gan (Blood Chancre) resembles purple Jie Chuang (Scabies-like sore). Itching and pain occur intermittently, with significant bleeding and tissue damage. The etiology is Wind-Heat obstructing the Cou Li (skin pores and interstices); taking Xiao Feng San provides the strongest therapeutic effect.
[Note] This condition arises from Wind-Heat blocking the Cou Li, presenting like purple scabies, with intermittent pain and itching, caused by Blood Dryness and excess Heat. Taking Xiao Feng San is appropriate.
Bai [Chancre] (White Chancre) resembles Zhen Jie (Rash/Scabies), appearing white with intense itching causing discomfort. This is due to Wind-Evil lodging in the skin surface, as well as Blood Dryness failing to nourish the exterior.
[Note] Commonly known as She Shi (Snake Lice). It occurs on the skin, resembling rashes or scabies, white in color and itchy, producing white scales upon scratching. It is caused by Wind-Evil residing in the skin and Blood Dryness failing to provide nourishment. Initially take Fang Feng Tong Sheng San, followed by Sou Feng Shun Qi Wan. Additionally, mix equal parts of Pig Fat and Ku Xing Ren (Apricot Seed), crush them together, wrap in silk, and rub on the affected area; both methods are effective.
Sou Feng Shun Qi Wan Formula: Da Huang (Rhei Radix et Rhizoma, soaked in wine, steamed and sun-dried nine times, 5 liang), Che Qian Zi (Plantaginis Semen, stir-fried with wine), Shan Yu Rou (Corni Fructus), Shan Yao (Dioscoreae Rhizoma, stir-fried), Niu Xi (Achyranthis Bidentatae Radix, soaked in wine), Tu Si Zi (Cuscutae Semen, boiled in wine), Du Huo (Angelicae Pubescentis Radix), Huo Ma Ren (Cannabis Fructus, lightly roasted, shelled), Bing Lang (Arecae Semen), Zhi Ke (Aurantii Fructus, stir-fried with bran), Yu Li Ren (Pruni Semen, soaked in boiling water, shelled, each 2 liang), Qiang Huo (Notopterygii Rhizoma et Radix, 1 liang).
Grind all ingredients into powder, blend with refined honey to make pills the size of Sophora seeds. Take 30 pills per dose, with tea or wine as desired, morning and evening.
[Prescription Verse] Sou Feng Shun Qi Wan contains Plantago Seed, Cornus, Dioscorea, Rhubarb, Achyranthes, Cuscuta, Notopterygium, Angelica Pubescens, Cannabis Seed, Areca Nut, Aurantium, and Prunus Seed; taking it dispels Wind-Evil and nourishes Blood Dryness.
