Traumatic injuries from falls and blows are divided into those with broken skin and those without, caused by blood loss or blood stasis. For instance, if a person falls from a height but the skin and muscles remain intact, blood stasis must flow into the Zang-Fu organs (internal organs), causing the patient to become unconscious and suffer from difficulty in urination and defecation. In such cases, Dacheng Tang (Great Achievement Decoction) should be used to promote urination and defecation, after which the patient will naturally regain consciousness; if they do not wake up, Dushen Tang (Single Ginseng Decoction) should be administered for rescue. For ordinary falls, mild cases are treated with Fuyuan Huoxue Tang (Restore Vitality and Invigorate Blood Decoction). If joint injuries occur with severed tendons and unceasing bleeding, Dusheng San (Supreme Victory Powder) is applied first to stop the bleeding, followed by the topical application of Huarui Shi San (Flower Porphyry Stone Powder). Severe injuries such as fractured joints require specialized bone-setting and bandaging techniques, which are not detailed here.
