The so-called "wild wolf sore" (Ye Lang Chuang) is caused by ingesting residual toxins from insects and rodents, or by emotional distress such as worry and overthinking, or by anger causing qi rebellion. These factors lead to pathological changes invading the zang organs, emerging in the sinews and collaterals, and lingering without departing.
The wild wolf sore arises from irregularities in cold and heat, consumption of toxic food, or severe anger causing qi to ascend without descending. Initially, the lesion appears on the neck and jawline, extending from behind the ear root above the clavicle, connecting to the base of the ear, with its root in the Liver.
To treat the wild wolf sore manifesting on the neck and ears, characterized by pain and purulent discharge, use the Kongqing San (Azurite Powder) formula.
Kongqing (Azurite, half liang, calcined and finely ground) Nao (Brain, half liang) Gan (Liver, one piece, lightly roasted) Xiong (Ligusticum striatum, half liang) Duhuo (Angelica pubescens, three fen) Huangqin (Scutellaria baicalensis, half liang) Ganjiang (Dried Ginger, remove head and feet) Chi (Wing? *Note: Text fragment likely refers to a specific part or herb*) Biejia (Tartar Testudinis, fen) Bai Fan (Alumen, one liang)
Grind the above herbs into a fine powder through a silk sieve, mix evenly with other ingredients. Before meals, take one qian mixed with warm wine.
To treat persistent purulent discharge from the wild wolf sore accompanied by chills and fever, and vexing pain in the limbs and joints, use the Shenxiao Pi San (Miraculous Skin Powder) formula.
