治疗中恶心痛、腹部胀闷烦乱的大黄散方：
川大黄（切碎并微炒）、赤芍药、川升麻、鬼箭羽、鬼臼（去除根部）、桂心、桔梗（去除芦头）、柴胡。
以上药物，捣碎过筛制成散剂。每次服用三钱，用水一中盏，煎煮至六分，去渣滓。不分时候，温服。
治疗中恶心痛剧烈难忍的沉香散方：
沉香（半两）、赤芍药（半两）、酸石榴皮（半两，切碎微炒）、桔梗（半两，去芦头）、槟榔（一两）、川芒硝（一两）。
以上药物，捣碎过筛制成散剂。每次服用三钱，用水一中盏，加入葱白五寸，煎煮至六分，去渣滓。不分时候，温服。
又一方：
赤芍药（一两）、桔梗（一两，去芦头）、杏仁（一两，用汤浸泡后去皮尖及双仁，麸炒至微黄）。
以上药物，捣碎过筛制成散剂。每次服用三钱，用水一中盏，煎煮至六分，去渣滓。不分时候，温服。
治疗中恶，心痛剧烈难忍，如同中了蛊毒或患有恶性疾病症状的犀角散方：
犀角屑（一分）、木通（一分）、羌活（一分）、黑豆（半合）、甘草（一分，炙至微红并切碎）、牛黄（半钱）。
以上药物，细细切碎，共用水两大盏，煎煮至一盏二分，去渣滓，加入牛黄、麝香搅匀，分三次温服。不分时候。
治疗中恶心痛，气急腹胀，神情萎靡似欲死亡的雄黄散方：
雄黄（半两，细研）、赤小豆（半两）、瓜叶（半两）。
以上药物，捣碎过细罗制成散剂。每次服用，用温水调服一钱。应当立即呕吐，病即痊愈。如果长时间不吐，再服用。
治疗中恶心痛，烦乱神志不清的白芥子丸方：
白芥子（半两）、安息香（半两）、麝香（一钱，细研）、乌药（半两）、桃仁（半两，汤浸去皮尖及双仁）。
以上药物，捣碎过罗制成粉末，加入麝香，研磨均匀。用汤浸泡蒸饼，混合后捣击一二百下，制成梧桐子大小的丸剂。不分时候……
Zhong'e (Sudden Evil) Heartache refers to heartache caused by the invasion of toxic pathogens and "ghost qi" due to deficiency of Qi in the Zang-Fu organs and weakness of spirit. When a person's Yin and Yang are harmonious and smooth, and Ying (Nutritive) and Wei (Defensive) Qi are peaceful, such conditions do not occur.
Dahuang San (Rhubarb Powder) for treating Zhong'e heartache with abdominal distension, fullness, and restlessness:
Chuan Dahuang (Rhei Radix et Rhizoma, crushed and lightly stir-fried), Chi Shaoyao (Paeoniae Radix Rubra), Chuan Shengma (Cimicifugae Rhizoma), Guijianyu (Spatholobi Caulis), Guijiu (Podophylli Fructus, roots removed), Guixin (Cinnamomi Cortex), Jiegeng (Platycodonis Radix, radix heads removed), Chaihu (Bupleuri Radix).
The above herbs are pounded, sifted, and made into a powder. Each dose is 3 qian. Take one zhong zhan (approx. 200ml) of water, decoct until reduced to 6 fen (approx. 120ml), remove the dregs. Take warm at any time.
Chenxiang San (Agarwood Powder) for treating unbearable Zhong'e heartache:
Chenxiang (Aquilariae Lignum Resinatum, 0.5 liang), Chi Shaoyao (Paeoniae Radix Rubra, 0.5 liang), Suan Shiliu Pi (Punicae Granati Pericarpium, 0.5 liang, crushed and lightly stir-fried), Jiegeng (Platycodonis Radix, 0.5 liang, radix heads removed), Binglang (Arecae Semen, 1 liang), Chuan Mangxiao (Natrii Sulfas, 1 liang).
The above herbs are pounded, sifted, and made into a powder. Each dose is 3 qian. Take one zhong zhan of water, add 5 cun (approx. 15cm) of scallion white (Congbai), decoct until reduced to 6 fen, remove the dregs. Take warm at any time.
Another prescription:
Chi Shaoyao (Paeoniae Radix Rubra, 1 liang), Jiegeng (Platycodonis Radix, 1 liang, radix heads removed), Xingren (Armeniacae Semen Amarum, 1 liang, soaked in hot water, skin and tips removed, double-kernel removed, bran-fried until slightly yellow).
The above herbs are pounded, sifted, and made into a powder. Each dose is 3 qian. Take one zhong zhan of water, decoct until reduced to 6 fen, remove the dregs. Take warm at any time.
Xijiao San (Rhino Horn Powder) for treating Zhong'e with unbearable heartache, resembling symptoms of gu poison or malignant diseases:
Xijiao Xie (Rhinocerotis Cornu, shaved, 1 fen), Mutong (Akebiae Caulis, 1 fen), Qianghuo (Notopterygii Rhizoma et Radix, 1 fen), Heidou (Glycines Max Semen Nigrum, 0.5 he), Gancao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma, 1 fen, honey-fried until slightly red and crushed), Niuhuang (Bovis Calculus, 0.5 qian).
The above herbs are finely chopped. Decoct together in two da zhan (approx. 400ml) of water until reduced to 1.2 zhan. Remove the dregs, add Niuhuang and Shexiang (Moschus), mix well. Divide into three warm doses. Take at any time.
Xionghuang San (Realgar Powder) for treating Zhong'e heartache with rapid breathing, abdominal distension, and lethargy as if dying:
Xionghuang (Realgar, 0.5 liang, finely ground), Chixiaodou (Vigna Angularis Semen, 0.5 liang), Guaye (Benincasae Folium, 0.5 liang).
The above herbs are pounded through a fine sieve to make a powder. For each dose, take 1 qian mixed with warm water. Vomiting should occur immediately, leading to recovery. If vomiting does not occur after a while, take another dose.
Baijiezizi Wan (White Mustard Seed Pill) for treating Zhong'e heartache with restlessness and unconsciousness:
Baijiezi (Sinapis Alti Semen, 0.5 liang), Anshixiang (Styrax, 0.5 liang), Shexiang (Moschus, 1 qian, finely ground), Wuyao (Linderae Radix, 0.5 liang), Taoren (Persicae Semen, 0.5 liang, soaked in water, skin and tips removed, double-kernel removed).
The above herbs are pounded through a sieve to make powder. Add Shexiang and grind evenly. Soak steamed wheat cake dough in water, mix with the powder, and pound/beaten 100-200 times. Form pills the size of paulownia seeds. Take at any time...
