The Spleen and Stomach are harmonized and belong to the Foot-Yangming Meridian, which is the Stomach's meridian. This meridian originates at the nose, circles around the lips, and its branch enters internally to connect with the Spleen. If there is heat in the Spleen and Stomach, the Qi rises and manifests on the lips, causing sores to form on the mouth corners (Chunwen).
