Preparation and Administration: Take 3-5 willow twigs, sharpen tips, clean gums thoroughly. Boil lard, remove from heat when boiling. Wrap willow tip in cotton, dip in lard [and apply to cauterize].
Formula for pediatric gan erosion of gums and cheek sores: Shexiang Jian (Moschus Decoction).
Ingredients: Shexiang (Moschus, 1 fen), Dingfen (Cerussa/Lead Carbonate, 0.5 liang), Huangbai mo (Phellodendri Cortex powder, 0.5 liang).
Preparation and Administration: Grind all ingredients finely into powder. Add 1 liang of good honey to a porcelain vessel, boil 5-7 times, add powder, boil another 2-3 times. Cool and apply to affected area. Effective after 4-5 applications daily.
Formula for pediatric oral gan, rotten flesh in gums, bad breath, worm erosion creating holes: Huangbai San (Phellodendri Cortex Powder).
Ingredients: Huangbai (Phellodendri Cortex, 1 liang, lightly roasted and powdered), Qingdai (Indigo Naturalis, 0.5 liang), Shexiang (Moschus, 1 qian).
Preparation and Administration: Grind uniformly. Sprinkle a small amount on the sore. Use 3-4 times daily.
Formula for pediatric gan sores, erosion of mouth, teeth, nose, and critical condition of lower parts:
First wash the sore with rice water, dry it, and apply ash of Jisi Fan (Chicken excrement alum). Apply three times daily for effect.
