凡是小儿气血旺盛的，脏腑就会内生热邪，导致脏躁（内脏功能失调、心神不宁），从而引起持续的热渴症状。
治疗小儿心肺积热，口渴不止，咽喉干燥疼痛的黄连散方：

以上药材，捣碎并过粗筛制成散剂。每次服用一钱，用水一小盏，加入生姜半分，煎煮至剩余五分药液，滤去药渣，加入蜂蜜半两，再煮沸一两滚，待温度适宜后，不时让患儿少量饮用。
治疗小儿心肺热邪壅盛，胸闷烦躁，口渴不止的麦门冬散方：

银箔（五两） 石膏（二两） 寒水石（二两） 蚕蛹茧（二两）
以上药材，用水三升，先放入银箔、石膏、寒水石这三味药，煎煮至剩余一升，滤去银箔和石头，接着放入蚕蛹茧，再煎煮至剩余七合，滤去药渣。每次服用量根据患儿年龄大小，酌情加减。
治疗小儿热渴不止，心烦闷乱的栝蒌根散方：
栝蒌根（三分） 黄芩（半两） 知母（半两）
以上药材，捣碎并过粗筛制成散剂。每次服用一钱，用水一小盏，加入小麦、粟米各一百粒，煎煮至剩余五分药液，滤去药渣。
又一方：
栝蒌根（三分） 黄芩（半两） 小麦（半合）
以上药材，全部切碎，用水两大盏，煎取一盏药液，滤去药渣，不限时间，根据患儿年龄大小，酌情减量温服。
又一方：
新鲜葛根汁（二合） 竹沥（一合）
以上两种药汁，混合均匀，不限时间，服用半合，根据患儿年龄大小，酌情加减。
治疗小儿热渴不止的腻粉散方：
腻粉（一分） 皂荚（一根，长度约七八寸者，去除黑皮，涂酥油炙烤至香熟）
先将皂荚捣碎过筛成粉末，加入腻粉共同研磨均匀，不限时间，用温水调服一字量的药粉，根据患儿年龄大小，酌情加减。
治疗小儿热渴日久不止的石莲散方：
石莲心（三十枚，炒至黄色） 浮萍（一分）
