药材：决明子、栀子仁、地肤子、茺蔚子、蓝叶、川朴硝（以上各一两）、川升麻（一两）、石膏（二两）。
制法与用法：将上述药物捣碎过筛制成散剂。每次服用三钱，用水一中盏，加入苦竹叶十四片，煎至六分，滤去药渣。饭后温服。
治疗眼红肿胀疼痛，并伴有白翳者，旨在清除肝肺热毒，适宜服用此方。
药材：羚羊角屑、葳蕤、甘菊花、泽泻、川大黄（锉碎，微炒）、木通（锉，各一两）。
制法与用法：将上述药物捣碎过筛制成散剂。每次服用三钱至四钱，用水一中盏，煎至六分，滤去药渣。饭后温服。
治疗眼红肿胀疼痛，分泌物多且流泪者，适宜服用具有清退上焦壅热、止痛消肿功效的防风散方。
药材：防风（去芦头）、川芎、川升麻、犀角屑、羚羊角屑、赤芍药、前胡（以上各半两，去芦头）、细辛。
制法与用法：将上述药物捣碎过筛制成散剂，加入牛黄、朱砂，共同研磨均匀。每次饭后，用地黄汤送服一钱。
治疗眼红肿胀疼痛方。
药材：蜂蜜（四两）、黄连（去须，捣为末）、蕤仁（热水浸泡，去赤皮，细研，各半两）、龙脑（半钱，研入）。
制法与用法：将上述药物捣细过筛制成散剂，与蜂蜜混合，放入铜器中，用慢火熬制成稀饧状。用新棉过滤，待药液稍冷后使用。
治疗眼红肿胀疼痛，感觉热涩并流泪者，适宜使用洗眼方。
药材：苦竹叶、柴胡（去苗）、黄连（去须）、细辛、川芒硝、蛇衔草（以上各一两）。
制法与用法：将上述药物细切拌匀。每次取药二两，用水三大盏，煎取一盏半，用绵布过滤去渣。每次取三合温热药液清洗眼睛。

药材：秦皮、川芒硝、木通（各一两）、竹叶（一握）。
制法与用法：将上述药物细切拌匀。每次取药一两，用水两大盏，加入青盐一钱，煎取一盏，用绵布过滤去渣。每次取适量温热药液清洗眼睛。
治疗眼红肿胀疼痛，闭毒散方。
药材：川大黄、玄参、川芒硝、白蔹、射干、木香、黄芩（以上各半两）。
制法与用法：将上述药物捣细过筛制成散剂，用鸡蛋清调和如泥状，做成饼子，敷在眼睑上，干了就更换。
治疗眼昏、红痛肿胀方。
药材：车前草（二握）、牛蒡根（二握）、地龙粪（二两）、青盐（一钱）、川大黄（半两，生研末）。
制法与用法：将上述药物混合，捣制成饼子。仰卧，贴在眼睛上，干了就更换。

Wind-pathogenic toxic qi invades the Foot-Jueyin Liver Meridian, compounded by stagnation in the Heart and Lung, with long-standing accumulated heat retained within. The wind-heat pathogens contend with each other and attack upward to the eyes.
For eye redness, swelling, and pain caused by liver wind-toxicity rushing upward, where the eyelids are difficult to open, accompanied by headache and forehead pain, the Lingyangjiao San (Antelope Horn Powder) is indicated.
Ingredients: Lingyangjiao Xie (Horn of Saiga Antelope, *Saiga tatarica*), Weirui (Rhizoma Polygonati Odorati), Fangfeng (Radix Saposhnikoviae), Gan Juhua (Flos Chrysanthemi), Niuhuang (Calculus Bovis), Xixin (Radix Asari), Baizi Ren (Semen Platycladi).
Preparation and Administration: Crush and sieve the above herbs into a powder. Add Niuhuang and grind uniformly. Take 3 qian per dose. Decoct with one zhongzhan of water until reduced to six-tenths. Strain and take warm after meals.
For eye redness and swelling with unbearable pain and tendency for nebula formation, the Juemingzi San (Cassia Seed Powder) is indicated.
Ingredients: Juemingzi (Fructus Cassiae), Zhizi Ren (Semen Gardeniae), Difuzi (Fructus Kochiae), Chongweizi (Fructus Leonuri), Lanye (Folium Isatidis), Chuan Puxiao (Natrii Sulfas), Chuan Shengma (Rhizoma Cimicifugae), Shigao (Gypsum Fibrosum).
Preparation and Administration: Crush and sieve the above herbs into a powder. Take 3 qian per dose. Decoct with one zhongzhan of water and fourteen leaves of Ku Zhu Ye (Bitter Bamboo Leaf) until reduced to six-tenths. Strain and take warm after meals.
For eye redness, swelling, and pain accompanied by white nebulae, aiming to clear heat-toxicity from the Liver and Lung, this formula is indicated.
Ingredients: Lingyangjiao Xie (Horn of Saiga Antelope, *Saiga tatarica*), Weirui (Rhizoma Polygonati Odorati), Gan Juhua (Flos Chrysanthemi), Zexie (Rhizoma Alismatis), Chuan Dahuang (Radix et Rhizoma Rhei), Mutong (Caulis Akebiae).
Preparation and Administration: Crush and sieve the above herbs into a powder. Take 3 to 4 qian per dose. Decoct with one zhongzhan of water until reduced to six-tenths. Strain and take warm after meals.
For eye redness, swelling, and pain with excessive discharge and tearing, the Fangfeng San (Saposhnikovia Powder), which clears upper jiao stagnation-heat, relieves pain, and reduces swelling, is indicated.
Ingredients: Fangfeng (Radix Saposhnikoviae), Xiong (Radix Ligustici Chuanxiong), Chuan Shengma (Rhizoma Cimicifugae), Xijiao Xie (Cornu Rhinocerotis), Lingyangjiao Xie (Horn of Saiga Antelope, *Saiga tatarica*), Chishao Yao (Radix Paeoniae Rubra), Qianhu (Radix Peucedani), Xixin (Radix Asari).
Preparation and Administration: Crush and sieve the above herbs into a powder. Add Niuhuang (Calculus Bovis) and Zhusha (Cinnabaris), and grind uniformly. After meals, take 1 qian mixed with Dihuang Tang (Rehmannia Decoction).
Formula for Eye Redness, Swelling, and Pain.
Ingredients: Mi (Mel/Honey), Huanglian (Rhizoma Coptidis), Ruiren (Semen Pruni Armeniacae), Longnao (Borneolum Syntheticum).
Preparation and Administration: Grind the herbs into a fine powder and mix with honey. Simmer slowly in a copper vessel until resembling thick syrup. Filter through new cotton wool. Apply when slightly cool.
For eye redness, swelling, pain, heat sensation, dryness, and tearing, an eye-washing formula is indicated.
Ingredients: Ku Zhu Ye (Folium Bambusae), Chaihu (Radix Bupleuri), Huanglian (Rhizoma Coptidis), Xixin (Radix Asari), Chuan Mangxiao (Natrii Sulfas), She Xian Cao (Herba Siegesbeckiae).
Preparation and Administration: Finely chop and mix evenly. Take 2 liang of the mixture, decoct with three zhongzhan of water until one and a half zhongzhan remains. Filter through cotton wool. Wash the eyes with three he of warm liquid.

Ingredients: Qinpi (Cortex Fraxini), Chuan Mangxiao (Natrii Sulfas), Mutong (Caulis Akebiae), Zhu Ye (Folium Bambusae), Qingyan (Sal Nigrum).
Preparation and Administration: Finely chop and mix evenly. Take 1 liang of the mixture, decoct with two large zhongzhan of water and one qian of Qingyan until one zhongzhan remains. Filter through cotton wool. Wash the eyes with warm liquid.
Bi Du San (Closed-Toxin Powder) for Eye Redness, Swelling, and Pain.
Ingredients: Chuan Dahuang (Radix et Rhizoma Rhei), Xuanshen (Radix Scrophulariae), Chuan Mangxiao (Natrii Sulfas), Bailian (Rhizoma Belamcandae), Shegan (Rhizoma Belamcandae), Muxiang (Radix Aucklandiae), Huangqin (Radix Scutellariae).
Preparation and Administration: Grind into a fine powder and mix with egg white (Jizi Bai) to form a paste. Shape into cakes and apply to the eyelids. Replace when dry.
Formula for Blurred Vision, Redness, Pain, and Swelling.
Ingredients: Cheqian Cao (Herba Plantaginis), Niubang Gen (Radix Arctii), Dilong Fen (Excrement of Earthworm), Qingyan (Sal Nigrum), Chuan Dahuang (Radix et Rhizoma Rhei).
