Various sores and swellings are caused by wind pathogens and heat toxins. If exposed to cold wind and cold again, cold qi enters the sore, causing blood stasis and poor circulation. Consequently, the sore often discharges pus and water, and the patient feels no pain or itching. Over time, the sore fails to heal.
For treating various carbuncles and swellings that have ruptured into sores with thin and clear pus, it is appropriate to use Qilinjie San (Kylin Blood Powder) to promote wound closure and muscle growth.
Ingredients: Dragon's Blood (Qilin Jie, 1 liang, stir-fried until purple), Uncooked Human Bone (Sheng Ren Gu, 1 liang, calcined to ash; teeth are preferred), Ancient Copper Powder (Gu Tong Mo, 3 fen), Pigeon Droppings (Ge Fen, 1 he, dried and powdered).
Grind all ingredients finely into a powder. Apply externally. If the sore is deep, wrap the powder in paper strips to guide it into the wound cavity. Once new tissue grows, the wound will close.
For treating various sores and swellings that fail to heal, as well as perforated hemorrhoids, chronic fistulas with constant purulent discharge, and sores that remain unhealed for years, this formula is suitable for oral administration.
Ingredients: Pigeon Droppings (Ge Fen, 1 sheng), Musk (She Xiang, 3 fen).
Place the pigeon droppings on clean ground and surround them with fire until the smoke ceases. Remove from the fire to eliminate toxicity. Add musk and grind finely into a powder. Before meals, mix 2 qian with rice broth and take orally.
For treating various carbuncles, sores, and chronic non-healing wounds due to cold, Shenyan San (Miraculous Verification Powder) is recommended to promote tissue regeneration and wound closure.
Ingredients: Realgar (Xiong Huang, 3 fen, powdered), Zha Zi (Chaffy Fruit of Chinese Tallow Tree, 3 pieces, sliced with seeds and dried in shade, then powdered).
First, place the realgar powder in a decoction vessel, cover with a porcelain cup, seal the edges with wet paper, and roast over low heat. Place a warm object under the cup bottom to prevent moisture ingress. The realgar will sublime into a frost-like substance on the cup. After cooling, collect it. Mix this sublimed realgar with the Zha Zi powder and an appropriate amount of ointment for tissue regeneration.
To treat malignant sores and close the wound, use Jiangzhenxiang San (Talauma Powder).
Ingredients: Jiangzhen Xiang (Dipterocarpus resin), Mu Xiang (Aucklandia root), Qilin Jie (Dragon's Blood), Bai Zhi (Angelica dahurica), Bai Lian (Ampelopsis radix), Huang Lian (Coptis chinensis, remove roots), Huang Bo (Phellodendron bark); all in equal proportions.
Crush the raw herbs and sieve into a fine powder. Apply to the wound at any time until healed.
For treating carbuncles with internal cold and non-healing wounds, use Fengchuang Shupi San (Mouse Skin Powder).
Burn one mouse skin to ash, grind finely, and apply to the wound until healed.
