Wind-strike with palpitations (Feng Jing) arises from physical deficiency and insufficiency of Heart Qi, allowing Wind pathogen to invade. The Heart stores the Spirit (Shen) and governs the blood vessels. Insufficiency of Heart Qi leads to Blood deficiency. Deficiency results in unrest of the Heart Spirit, manifesting as constant fear and terror. It is appropriate to administer Fu Shen San (Poria Decoction).
