[Lushi Yifang Ganying Wan (Lu's Unusual Formula Miraculous Response Pill)]
This differs significantly from the standard formulas of the Heji Bureau. Provided it is used, the preparation must strictly follow proper methods, and the proportions must be most carefully balanced. Its action is merely to warm and transform, without disturbing the Zang-Fu organs. The subtlety of its efficacy lies in the large quantity of wax used; it must absolutely not be reduced. Regular consumption strengthens the Spleen, promotes appetite, gradually eliminates stagnant Cold-Heat, and naturally prevents disease. It is especially suitable for increased dosage after excessive drinking or overeating; its miraculous effects cannot be fully described.
Huangla (Yellow Beeswax, genuine, 10 liang) Badou (Croton Seed, 100 grains, husked, ground into powder, wrapped in several layers of paper and pounded until oil permeates, replace paper until oil is exhausted) Baicaoshuang (Soot from Hundred Herbs) Xingren (Apricot Kernel) Ruxiang (Frankincense)
Except for the Badou powder, Baicaoshuang, Xingren, and Ruxiang, grind the remaining ingredients into fine powder, then mix and grind uniformly with the aforementioned four ingredients. First, melt 10 liang of Huangla in a silver or earthenware vessel into liquid. Filter the dross through heavy cotton cloth. Boil the wax in one sheng of high-quality wine free of ash in a silver or earthenware vessel until melted. Boil several times, then remove. Upon cooling, the wax will naturally float on the wine surface; discard the wine. For spring and summer preparation, use 1 liang of refined sesame oil; for autumn and winter, use 1.5 liang. Heat the oil in a large silver vessel until fragrant and mature. Then add the wine-boiled wax, melting them together into liquid. While hot, mix thoroughly and evenly with the herbal powder. Allow to slightly solidify, divide into portions, store in jars, and may be taken after half a month. If taking, roll into pills the size of radish seeds, taking any desired amount; increasing from 20-30 pills to 50 pills causes no harm. Due to the high wax content, although pill-making is difficult, the finer the pills, the broader the efficacy. They should be regularly taken before going to bed. If intended for treating disease, timing is unrestricted.
