Treats all diseases of postpartum women: fetal death in utero before delivery, difficult labor, transverse presentation, breech presentation. After delivery, retention of the placenta, premature rupture of the umbilical cord, dry mouth and chest oppression, muteness at inappropriate times. Such as blood syncope with blurred vision, mistakenly diagnosed as hidden wind; alternating chills and fever, mistakenly diagnosed as malaria; edema of the four limbs; delirious speech, hallucinations of seeing ghosts and spirits, mistakenly diagnosed as evil influence; abdominal and hypochondriac distension and fullness, irregular vomiting and regurgitation, mistakenly diagnosed as reverse flow of stomach contents; hematuria, mistakenly diagnosed as the five types of strangury. As well as incomplete lochia discharge, unreturned menstruation, failure to observe dietary and lifestyle taboors, leading to the formation of blood stasis masses; if these disperse, they rush upward causing shortness of breath and heart pain, coughing with excessive sputum, deficiency heat in the four limbs, sleep disturbances with night sweats, severe metrorrhagia and miscarriage syndromes, periumbilical redness and pain, bone-steaming fever due to transformation, all are suitable for frequent administration. If postpartum epistaxis occurs, blackening of the mouth and nose, wheezing and急促 breathing with qi rising from the throat, or stroke with locked jaw, it must be taken urgently. Generally, before delivery, one or two doses should be taken to calm the spirit and facilitate smooth fetal positioning. Even if there is no illness after delivery, one dose should be taken within seven days to prevent disease. Or if other syndromes arise due to fright or alarm, continuous administration should be taken to achieve efficacy.
