Sulfur (fine grind) Ligusticum Chuanxiong Rhizoma (Chuanxiong) Luteum Tea (Lacha) Menthae Haplocalycis Herba (remove stems and woody parts) Aconiti Lateralis Radix Praeparata (Pao Zhi) Niter (ground) Rehmanniae Radix Recens (each 60 g)
Grind the above ingredients into fine powder. Use natural juice from broken green onions to mix and knead into bar-shaped tablets. For each dose, first rinse mouth with fresh cold water and spit out. Then chew 5-7 fresh mint leaves until soft. Chew one tablet together with the mint until extremely soft, and swallow with well water. For severe cases, take three tablets consecutively to recover. For double tongue and cheek swelling, take one tablet first, then place another tablet on the affected area; the disease will subside quickly with the medicine. It also treats summerheat latent heat causing loss of consciousness. Dissolve one tablet in fresh mint water and administer; the patient will regain consciousness. If one carries and holds a tablet while traveling, latent heat issues are prevented. For mouth and tongue sores preventing mouth closure, or after eating hot foods, follow the above method: finish taking the medicine, rinse mouth with water, chew ten mint leaves into a paste and spit out. Rinse again, chew one tablet, hold in mouth to gather saliva around it, spit out when full of saliva. After taking three such tablets, one can consume wine and vinegar. When blisters form in the throat after eating salty, sour, dried meat, or roasted/grilled foods, one must break the blister and vomit blood to regain clarity. At this time, chew several mint leaves with one tablet and swallow with well water. For sand strangury and heat strangury with hematuria, crush seven leaves of Plantaginis Herba and a small piece of Zingiberis Rhizoma, mix with water, strain, chew one tablet, and swallow with water. This medicine separates yin and yang, dispels wind-heat, transforms blood into saliva, and transforms saliva into water. Keep it handy for emergencies; one tablet can save a life. Children take half a tablet.
