Take three qian per dose, add one and a half sheng of water, along with fresh ginger, dried mume fruit, and jujubes. Decoct until the volume reduces to seven-tenths. Strain the dregs and take the decoction warm. Combine the dregs from two doses for a single subsequent decoction.
It also has the effect of resolving summerheat toxicity.
Ingredients: Cinnamon Bark (Rougui, bark removed, avoid direct fire), Poria (Fuling, bark removed, equal parts). Grind these into a fine powder. Indicated for summerheat injury presenting with fever and headache.
Ingredients: Pinellia Tuber (Banxia, boiled dry in five sheng of vinegar), Licorice Root (Gancao, raw), Poria (Fuling, peel removed, half jin each). Grind these into a fine powder. Prepared according to Zhixiu's method, it is extremely effective. For heatstroke, consciousness returns immediately after ingestion; for summerheat injury with fever and headache, it is particularly efficacious. Regular use in summer stops thirst and promotes urination; even with excessive water intake, it causes no harm. No other summerheat-resolving medicines compare to this. If phlegm-fluid retention is present, swallow with ginger soup. This medicine should not be lacking once summer begins.
