Mash the leaves of *Boehmeria nivea* (Ramie) to extract juice and apply to the affected area.
Apply persimmon lacquer water to the affected area. If a gecko enters the ear, dripping chicken comb blood will cause it to exit immediately.
Alternatively, boil mulberry leaves (*Folium Mori*) into a concentrated decoction, mix with alum (Alumen), and apply as a poultice (for treating bites).
Chew raw sesame seeds (Sesamum indicum) and apply the paste to the affected area. (Bathing is prohibited during this time.)
Apply chicken manure.
Take two qian of alum (Alumen) and raw licorice root (Gancao), grind them into powder, and mix evenly. Take two qian per dose, mixed with cold water for oral administration. This powder can also be mixed with sesame oil for external application.
Cut open the snake's tail with a knife, insert two raw Sichuan peppercorns (Zanthoxyli Pericarpium), and the snake will exit. Alternatively, prick the pig's tail to let fresh blood drip onto the snake's tail, which will also cause it to exit (using a sow is particularly effective).
Pour hot urine over the affected area to resolve the toxicity. Alternatively, pierce the small hole on the snake's tail with grass.
These are various hairy caterpillars from trees. They release toxic hairs that initially cause itching followed by pain; if prolonged, they can rot flesh and bone.
Pound fermented soybeans (Douchi) and green oil together to make a poultice. After a short while, remove the fermented soybeans, then wash the area with a decoction of Angelica dahurica (Baizhi). If the flesh has already rotted, sprinkle powder derived from cuttlebone (Haipiaoxiao) on the wound.
This refers to cockroaches.
Mix realgar (Xionghuang) and alum (Alumen) with tea water, and apply using a goose feather brush.
This refers to earthworms (Dilong).
First wash with urine, then apply saliva from a white duck. Alternatively, soak in water infused with calcined alum (Duanshi).
Grind sesame seeds (Sesamum indicum) and apply as a poultice. For bee stings, mix earthworm excrement (Di Long Fen) with well spring water and apply. Washing with hot wine is also acceptable.
Cover the affected area with a wooden bowl; this is highly effective. Alternatively, crack an eggshell and cover the area. Or draw a cross on the ground, take some soil, boil it in water, and drink a small amount.
For patients with weak constitution, reduce the dosage by half; pregnant women need not avoid this remedy.
Take three qian of raw Rhubarb (Sheng Chuanjun), seven peach kernels (Taoren, peeled and de-seeded), and seven ground beetles (Die Bie Chong, stir-fried and legs removed). Grind these three ingredients into powder, add three qian of white honey,
Decoct in one bowl of wine until reduced to seventy percent volume. Consume the liquid along with the dregs. For those who cannot consume alcohol, mix with water instead. It may be taken on an empty stomach. After taking this medicine, prepare a chamber pot to observe urination and defecation. The stool must expel foul matter resembling fish intestines or pork liver. Urine will resemble the color of sappanwood (Sumu) infusion. After several doses when the medicinal effect is exhausted, bowel movements and urination will return to normal. Subsequent doses will again expel foul matter. Do not limit the number of doses; continue until no trace of foul matter remains in stool or urine. Do not stop treatment prematurely to leave residual toxins in the abdomen, which could cause recurrence. Remember this strictly. Once this condition manifests, absolutely do not consume toxic substances like blister beetles (Ban Mao). At this stage, toxic masses in the abdomen have accumulated significantly. If one fails to resolve the blood stasis but instead uses poison to attack poison, it will lead to delirium and death. Abstinence from sexual intercourse is required for more than ten days. Be vigilant. Generally, the duration of an outbreak is mostly around forty-nine days, ranging from twenty-two days to sixty or seventy days, even up to a hundred days, depending on the severity of the toxin. This condition is extremely toxic. Injury to skin, flesh, or bone is not necessary; even if only clothing or shoes are bitten, although the person suffers no direct injury, the toxin can still infect the victim. If it is unclear whether the dog is rabid, one may take this medicine to test: if it is a rabid dog bite, toxic matter will definitely be expelled; if it is a healthy dog bite, the stool will merely be slightly loose. The medicinal nature is mild and poses no harm. This prescription is more effective and convenient than others. Taboos such as avoiding sound (like gongs) are unnecessary. It works reliably every time. It is hoped that this will be widely disseminated, accumulating great merit.
