Grind all ingredients into powder. Use a covered incense burner, place the medicine inside to burn and produce smoke, leaving only a small hole for the smoke to escape. The patient plugs the nose with paper and inhales the smoke through the mouth. After prolonged use, drink a small amount of clear rice water three times a day. When the parasites die, the cough ceases. Another method adds Bai Bu (Stemonae Radix), Wu Yi Ren (Canavaliae Semen), and Su Mu (Sappan Lignum), roasted and ground into powder, mixed with melted wax and spread on paper. Gui Gong, while serving as Xuanfu Shi in Shu, kept this secret treasure. Even for critical illnesses where medicines cannot reach, fumigation is effective.

The term "Zheng" (steaming) refers to the heat-toxin qi attached to the bones. These are all fatal conditions. Quack doctors do not recognize the appearance of heat steaming or recklessly attribute it to divine punishment/spirits, causing the steaming to transform into Gan syndrome (malnutrition syndrome) leading to death. The following prescriptions are provided.
Take Mang Xiao (Natrii Sulfas) dissolved in water, one fang cun bi per dose, twice daily. Or, crush Ku Shen (Sophorae Flavescentis Radix) and mix with honey to make pills the size of Wutong seeds. Take seven pills per dose with rice water, twice daily. No dietary restrictions, stop when the body feels cool.
Qing Xiang Zi (Celosiae Semen), Ku Shen (Sophorae Flavescentis Radix), each 2 liang; Ai Ye (Artemisiae Argyi Folium), Gan Cao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma, roasted), each 1 liang.
Cut the herbs, add four sheng of water, boil down to one and a half sheng. Divide into three doses. Hold the liquid in a sheep bladder and enema via a reed tube into the lower orifice. If there is no relief, take one fang cun bi of Mang Xiao (Natrii Sulfas), mix with cold water and drink, twice daily. Avoid Hai Zao (Sargassum) and Song Cai (Brassica vegetables).
