黑发延年,非它药可比。每月逢寅、午、申、亥日,用水一碗,称药三分,早起向东吸生气三口咽下;
When Jing (Essence) and Qi (Vital Energy) are abundant, the Three Flowers (Jing, Qi, Shen; Essence, Vital Energy, Spirit) naturally do not decline. With a clear and empty mind, Purple Qi rises, conforming to natural patterns.
The Golden Elixir is refined through nine transformations by Yuan Jun (a Daoist female deity), granting longevity as if Huang An were sitting upon a precious turtle.
The text on "Clear Void and Purple Qi" was transmitted by Yuan Jun. When asked when Huang An would rise from sitting on the turtle, he replied: "This turtle fears the light of the sun and moon, emerging its head only once every thirty years."
I, sitting on this turtle, have witnessed it emerge three times.
You people do not understand; Lao Yang (Pure Yang state, referring to males or extreme Yang) lacks generative breath. I offer a metaphor: Just as the moon on the third day of the lunar month is a crescent, by the fifth or sixth day it becomes full again.
Women's cultivation is the same as men's; what is rare is purity and clarity. One must know that women's desires exceed those of men. Or rather, after menstruation has ceased, her heart is like a lotus just blooming, receiving the nourishment of heaven's rain and dew, thus bearing fruit.
If a woman lacks a man, she is Gu Yin (Solitary Yin). Solitary Yin cannot generate life. If a lotus does not receive the grace of rain and dew, even in fertile soil, it ultimately proves useless. Does heaven's rain and dew act in vain for the generation of all things? If all things do not accept the rain and dew, then Du Yang (Solitary Yang) cannot grow.
The Dao can be verified through objects and understood through events. Even shallow and simple actions contain profound truths; it is merely that people fail to think and comprehend them.
Women may apply massage techniques. Upon waking early, sit quietly for a quarter of an hour. Press the heart area inward with the right hand. With the left hand, stroke the abdomen around the navel twenty times, moving down to the waist, rubbing and tapping. Then press the heart with the left hand and stroke with the right; press with the right and stroke with the left. Rub and tap at the waist with both hands. Afterwards, rub both hands until warm, wipe the face, massage to both ears, pressing and flicking. After flicking, rub and knead to both shoulders. Generate saliva and swallow it. Extend the waist, stand up, clasp hands, walk a few steps, and then go out to attend to affairs. Do the same in the evening.
Take pills according to the following prescription:
Polygonum multiflorum Radix Preparata (Shouwu, 2 liang)
Juglans regia Semen (Hetao, 2 liang)
Ophiopogon japonicus Radix (Maidong, 1 liang)
Rehmannia glutinosa Radix Preparata (Shudi, 1.5 liang)
Psoralea corylifolia Fructus (Buguzhi, 6 fen)
Amomum villosum Fructus (Sharen, 3 fen)
Eucommia ulmoides Cortex (Duzhong, 8 fen)
Asparagus cochinchinensis Radix (Tian Dong, 1 liang)
Zingiber officinale Rhizoma Recens (Shengjiang, 3 fen)
Grind these eight herbs into fine powder. Mix with half a jin of Pig Fat (Zhizhi, i.e., lard. Those who eat meat use lard; vegetarians may use human milk, cow milk, or sheep milk. Milk here refers to Su [clarified butter/ghee], which is not considered non-vegetarian. Northwest people call this 'Naizi Cha'. It strengthens spirit, nourishes complexion, blackens hair, and prolongs life. The Buddha consumed it during his ascetic practice in Snow Mountain, hence Buddhist monasteries do not prohibit it. Fake ghee is often mutton fat, so using human milk is preferable). Form into pills. Take for one month to strengthen spirit, blacken hair, and prolong life; no other medicine can compare. On days corresponding to Yin, Wu, Shen, and Hai in the Chinese zodiac cycle, take one bowl of water and 3 fen of the powder. Early in the morning, face east, inhale the vital energy three times and swallow; then face west and inhale once. After swallowing, proceed with daily activities as usual.
