丹基既成，而还丹可冀，赤龙一斩，阴血尽化阳气，在丹田血海之中不能久住，必要过关方
成法身。此时身热如火，气腾如珠，方用还丹之功，与男子之功无异也。若还至丹田祖窍，方用周
天炼药之功夫。
玄关一窍，万神万气之祖也，内有先天之祖气，会合凝结。宜呼吸绵绵，一意守之不散，二气
自然交合，八脉自然流通，仙胎自然结成。再往向上之功，三年练己，已成大还而结圣胎，仙胎结成，
十月火候炼足，婴儿自现∶或闻弦歌丝竹之声；或暗室生白；未来之事，他人之心，毫无隔滞，触景
便知。到此可以造就身外之身。任他诸般景界，不可着他，不可惧他。我只一心守中，面壁九年，
候阴尽阳纯，形神俱妙，与道合真，待诏飞升，永为王母之眷属，脱却尘世之轮回矣。算来不过数年
辛苦，竟成亿万年之快乐。斯世之妇女思之，又何惮而不为哉。
吕祖曰∶可笑世间学道人，论天论地讲修行。天机妙诀都不晓，三家药物未分明。不炼炉中真造化，难
免苦海堕沉沦。我今传你三教理，说段修行妙诀功。先讲天文并地理，天地三才要精通，男子修行伏
白虎，女子修行斩赤龙。天地周流分度数，日月循还运化工。五千四八归黄道，金木水火转相逢。女子原是
太阴体，须知太阴妙化工。每日右旋十三度，二日半后行一宫，一月营运周天毕，女子气候亦相同。要
知金丹真口诀，天人造化本相通。会得其中真妙窍，晦朔弦望仔细穷。一月运周机先动，两日半后即下功。
若人识得天机妙，何愁女功不玲珑。再有一段真金诀，须共神仙仔细论。七星宝剑西南挂，双林树下运
转轮，盘中宝珠颗颗现，一支白牛透昆仑。百尺竿头忙撒手，骑牛赶月伴老僧。又撞金钟无影寺，六月滴水
化成冰。没弦琴音奏三叠，无孔笛吹出八音。木母伴作木
马走，金公又随金乌行。二人翻江并倒海，看看要到尖峰亭。洒了一点真甘露，忽然七孔放光明
到此一步紧一步，切莫扰乱并因循。待他一点来归壶，二五凝结始圆明。若问此歌何人作？两
口传来度女贞。其中妙理悉包尽，莫负我今苦叮咛。
丹基已经奠定，那么还丹（通过修炼使精气神回归本源的药物）就可以期望成就。斩断赤龙（女性月经），阴血完全转化为阳气，在丹田（下腹部能量中心）和血海（子宫或相关经络系统）中无法长久停留，必须经过“过关”的修炼阶段才能成就法身（神圣的身体）。此时身体发热如火，气息升腾如珠，方才运用还丹的功夫，这与男子的修炼功夫没有不同。如果气机回到丹田祖窍（人体先天元气汇聚的关键穴位），才使用周天炼药（小周天和大周天循环炼化精气）的功夫。
玄关一窍（修炼中开启的神秘门户），是万神万气的祖先，内部有先天的祖气，会合凝结。适宜呼吸绵绵不断，意念专一守住它而不散乱，先天与后天二气自然交合，奇经八脉自然流通，仙胎（内丹修炼中的生命雏形）自然结成。再向上进阶的功夫，经过三年修持己性，已经成就大还丹并结圣胎。仙胎结成后，经过十个月的火候锻炼充足，婴儿（内丹术语，指阳神）自然显现：或者听到弦歌丝竹的声音；或者在暗室中生白（产生光亮）；对于未来的事情、他人的心思，毫无隔阂阻滞，触景便知。到了这一步可以造就身外之身（阳神出窍形成的独立意识体）。任凭各种境界出现，不可执着于它们，不可恐惧它们。我只一心守中，面壁九年，等待阴尽阳纯（阴质消尽，纯阳之体形成），形神俱妙，与道合真，等待诏令飞升，永远成为王母娘娘的眷属，摆脱尘世的轮回。算来不过数年的辛苦，竟成就亿万年之乐。世间的妇女思考这一点，又有什么害怕而不做的呢？
吕祖说：可笑世间学道之人，谈论天地讲修行。天机妙诀都不知晓，三家药物（精、气、神或铅汞等炼丹要素）未分清楚。不炼制炉中的真造化，难免苦海中沉沦。我今天传授你三教合一的道理，说说修行的妙诀功夫。先讲天文地理，天地三才（天、地、人）要精通，男子修行要伏住白虎（元精/肾水），女子修行要斩断赤龙（月经/阴血）。天地周流分布度数，日月循环运行化工。五千四十八数归于黄道，金木水火转相逢。女子原本是太阴体质，须知太阴奇妙的化工作用。每日右旋十三度，两日半后行一宫，一个月营运周天完毕，女子的火候气候也是相同的。要知道金丹的真口诀，天人的造化本是相通的。懂得其中真妙窍，晦朔弦望（农历每月的关键时间点）仔细穷究。一个月运周时机先动，两日半后即开始下功。如果有人识得天机的妙处，何愁女功不玲珑。再有一段真金诀，须与神仙仔细讨论。七星宝剑西南挂，双林树下运转轮，盘中宝珠颗颗现，一支白牛透昆仑。百尺竿头忙撒手，骑牛赶月伴老僧。又撞金钟无影寺，六月滴水化成冰。没弦琴音奏三叠，无孔笛吹出八音。木母（铅/肾水）伴随作木马走，金公（汞/心火）又随金乌行。二人翻江并倒海，看看要到尖峰亭。洒了一点真甘露，忽然七孔放光明。到此一步紧一步，切莫扰乱并因循。待他一点来归壶，二五凝结始圆明。若问此歌何人作？两口传来度女贞。其中妙理悉包尽，莫负我今苦叮咛。
Once the foundation of the elixir (Danji) is established, the Return Elixir (Huandan, a substance formed by refining essence, qi, and spirit back to their origin) can be expected to be achieved. The "Red Dragon" (Chilong, referring to menstruation in women) is severed, and yin blood is completely transformed into yang qi. It cannot remain long in the Dantian (lower abdominal energy center) and Xuehai (Blood Sea, related to the uterus or relevant meridians); it must pass through the "passing the barrier" stage to achieve the Dharma Body (Fashen, a sacred body). At this time, the body feels hot as fire, and the qi ascends like pearls. Only then is the work of the Return Elixir applied, which is no different from the work of men. If the qi returns to the Dantian Zuoqiao (Ancestral Aperture, a key acupoint where primordial yuan qi gathers), then the work of circulating the microcosmic and macrocosmic orbits to refine the medicinal ingredients (Zhou Tian Lian Yao) is employed.
The Xuan Guan Yi Qiao (Mysterious Pass, a mysterious gate opened during cultivation) is the ancestor of all spirits and all qi. Within it lies the primordial ancestral qi, which meets and condenses. One should breathe continuously and gently, focusing the mind on guarding it without scattering. The two qi (primordial and acquired) will naturally intersect, the eight extraordinary vessels will naturally flow, and the Immortal Fetus (Xiantai, a life prototype in internal alchemy) will naturally form. Advancing further, after three years of cultivating one's nature, the Great Return Elixir is achieved and the Sacred Fetus is formed. Once the Immortal Fetus is formed, after ten months of sufficient fire timing refinement, the Infant (Yang Shen, an independent consciousness formed by the refined yang spirit) naturally appears: one may hear the sounds of strings and flutes; or whiteness arises in a dark room; future events and others' thoughts are known without any obstruction upon encountering the scene. At this stage, one can create a body outside the body (Yang Shen exiting the physical form). Regardless of whatever realms or phenomena appear, do not cling to them, do not fear them. I only guard the center with one mind, face the wall for nine years, waiting for yin to exhaust and yang to become pure, until form and spirit are both wondrous, merging with the Dao and becoming true. Waiting for the edict to ascend, forever becoming a retainer of Queen Mother of the West, escaping the samsara of the mortal world. Calculating, it is but a few years of hardship, yet it achieves eternal joy for tens of millions of years. Women of this world, consider this, why would you hesitate to do it?
Master Lü said: Laughable are the seekers of the Dao in the world, discussing heaven and earth and practicing cultivation. They do not understand the subtle secrets of heavenly mechanisms, nor are the Three Families' medicinal ingredients clearly distinguished. Without refining the true creation in the furnace, they are doomed to sink in the sea of bitterness. Today I transmit to you the principles of the Three Teachings united, speaking of the subtle secret work of cultivation. First, discuss astronomy and geography; the Three Powers of Heaven, Earth, and Humanity must be thoroughly understood. Men practice to subdue the White Tiger (Yuan Jing/Kidney Water), while women practice to sever the Red Dragon (Menstruation/Yin Blood). Heaven and Earth circulate according to degrees, the sun and moon cycle through transformative processes. Five thousand and forty-eight numbers return to the Yellow Path, Metal, Wood, Water, and Fire meet in rotation. Women are originally Taiyin (Lunar/Yin) bodies; one must know the wonderful transformative work of Taiyin. Daily rotating rightward thirteen degrees, after two and a half days moving one palace, completing a Zhou Tian cycle in one month, the female climate/timing is also the same. To know the true mantra of the Golden Elixir, human and heavenly creation are fundamentally connected. Understanding the true subtle aperture within, carefully investigate the晦朔弦望 (new moon, full moon, and quarter phases). When the mechanism moves first after a monthly Zhou Tian cycle, effort begins after two and a half days. If one recognizes the subtlety of heavenly mechanisms, why worry that female work is not exquisite? There is another segment of the True Gold Mantra, which must be discussed carefully with immortals. The Seven-Star Sword hangs in the southwest, the wheel turns under the Twin Forests, pearls appear one by one on the plate, a white bull penetrates Kunlun. At the top of a hundred-foot pole, hastily let go; riding a cow chasing the moon, accompanying an old monk. Again striking the golden bell at the Shadowless Temple, ice forming from dripping water in June. A stringless lute plays three stanzas, a hole-less flute blows out eight tones. Mu Mu (Lead/Kidney Water) accompanies the Wooden Horse, Jin Gong (Mercury/Heart Fire) follows the Golden Crow. The two turn rivers and overturn seas, approaching Jianfeng Pavilion. Sprinkling a drop of true sweet dew, suddenly seven apertures shine with light. From this step forward, each step is tighter; do not disturb or delay. Wait for that single point to return to the flask, when Two and Five condense to become round and bright. If asked who composed this song? Passed down from two mouths to save chaste women. All subtle principles are fully contained herein; do not fail my earnest admonition.
