将马齿苋一把捣碎，取汁饮用，并将药渣敷在患处。（《圣惠方》是绞汁涂抹。）

泽兰 川芎 附子（炮制，去皮） 莽草 藁本 细辛 茵芋（各半两）
以上七味药，切碎，用水三升，煮取一升半，分四次服用。服用此汤后再用其他汤药清洗。
《千金翼方》某汤 主治丹疹、痈疽初发发热，逐渐蔓延的方子，兼治小儿丹疹蔓延。忌接触阴部。
升麻 黄连 大黄 川芎 羚羊角 当归 甘草（各二两） 黄芩（三两）
以上八味药用水一斗，煮取五升，滤去药渣，放回锅中，加入芒硝三两，火上煮沸一次，用帛贴敷在肿胀处多次，肿胀热感随即消退。

Next day, strain out, return to pot, add one jin of Zhu Zhi (Porci Adeps) from the twelfth lunar month, simmer over low heat for the duration of a meal. Filter hot through cotton cloth to remove dregs. Cool to form ointment, store in porcelain jar. Apply by rubbing as needed. Also, take an ointment piece the size of a jujube pit, dissolve in bamboo juice, and swallow.

I explored this in my youth and saved many; thus I record it again. The most effective remedy for dan eruptions worldwide is aquatic plants. Here is a prescription for heat-toxin dan swelling refractory to hundred medicines.
Take Shuizao (Spirogyra or aquatic algae) in any amount, cut, crush, and cook thoroughly. Apply to the dan eruption, thickness about three fen. Replace when dry, stop when healed.
