According to *Chao Shi Bing Yuan* (Source of Diseases by Master Chao) regarding the syndrome of hematuric strangury in children: Hematuric strangury is caused by extreme heat. When the heat is severe, it leads to blood in the urine, which is termed hematuric strangury. The Heart governs blood; blood circulates throughout the body, penetrating the meridians and cycling through the zang-fu organs. When heat is extreme, blood scatters and loses its normal course, overflowing from the vessels and seeping into the bladder, thereby forming hematuric strangury.
*Tai Ping Sheng Hui Fang* (Imperial Grace Formulas of the Taiping Era) states: Hematuric strangury in children is a progression from heat strangury that has worsened. The Heart governs blood, which circulates through the body and reaches the bladder. If hot qi flows into the bladder (pao), hematuric strangury results.
