寒湿内蓄日已深，复被风冷水气侵，囊冷硬痛成寒疝，乌头桂枝金茱神。
【注】寒疝者，因儿平日过食生冷，或卧湿地，以致阴结于内，气滞不行。为日既久，
复为风冷所束，水湿所伤，故发时囊冷结硬，牵引少腹作痛。初得之兼表者，以乌头桂枝
汤主之，寒甚者，以金茱丸治之。
乌头桂枝汤
桂枝 赤芍药 甘草（炙） 乌头
引用生姜，水煎服。
【方歌】乌头桂枝治寒疝，解表温中法最良，广桂枝同赤芍药，乌头甘草引生姜。
金茱丸
金铃子肉（一两） 吴茱萸（五钱）
共为细末，酒煮面糊为丸，如麻子大，每服数丸，盐汤下。
浓味过度生湿热，复触风寒疝气成，囊纵红肿常刺痛，乌头栀子服即宁。
【注】小儿平素过食浓味，致生湿热。湿热之气下行，流入囊中，复为风寒所束，而
疝证成矣。发时囊纵红肿，常常刺痛，当以乌头栀子汤调治之，庶疝可愈矣。
乌头栀子汤
乌头 栀子（炒）
用顺流水入姜汁煎服。
【方歌】湿热感寒疝气疼，乌头栀子汤最灵，栀子乌头姜汁共，顺流水煎病即宁。
胎疝多因母过啼，儿生胞硬痛无时，轻用十味苍柏治，重用金铃川楝宜。
【注】胎疝者，因孕妇啼泣过伤，气结不散，蕴于胞中，令儿生下胞硬疼痛。轻者十
味苍柏散主之，重者以金铃散或川楝丸主之。
十味苍柏散
青皮（醋炒） 川附子（炮） 黄柏 益智仁 南山楂肉（酒炒） 苍术（米泔水浸） 香附（制）
元胡索（醋炒） 桃仁 甘草（炙）
引用小茴香水煎服。

金铃散
三棱 莪术（各三线） 陈皮 赤茯苓（各五钱） 茴香（三钱） 甘草（生二钱） 槟榔 枳壳（麸
炒，各三钱） 钓藤钩 青皮（炒，各四钱） 南木香（三钱） 金铃子肉（一两）
上药除槟榔、木香不过火，余焙共为细末，每服半钱至一钱，无灰酒调服。
川楝丸
木香 槟榔 三棱 莪术（各三钱） 青皮（醋炒） 陈皮（各四钱） 川楝肉（八钱） 芫花（醋
炒，五分） 辣桂（二钱） 牵牛（生取仁，二钱） 巴豆（去油，三粒）
上为极细末，面糊为丸，如麻子大，每服三、四丸，姜汤送下。
寒湿之邪在体内蓄积日久，又遭受风冷与水气的侵袭，导致阴囊寒冷、坚硬且疼痛，形成寒疝，可用乌头桂枝汤或金茱丸治疗。
【注】寒疝，是因为小儿平日过度食用生冷食物，或者睡卧在潮湿之地，导致阴寒凝结于体内，气机阻滞运行不畅。时日既久，又被风冷束缚，水湿伤害，所以发作时阴囊寒冷结硬，牵引少腹部作痛。初起兼有表证的，用乌头桂枝汤主治；寒邪严重的，用金茱丸治疗。

桂枝 赤芍药 甘草（炙） 乌头
引用生姜，加水煎煮后服用。

饮食滋味过于浓厚过度产生湿热，又接触风寒导致疝气形成，阴囊即使红肿也常伴有刺痛，服用乌头栀子汤即可安宁。
【注】小儿平时过度食用浓味食物，导致产生湿热。湿热之气下行，流入阴囊中，又被风寒所束缚，从而疝证形成。发作时阴囊松弛红肿，常常刺痛，应当用乌头栀子汤调治，这样疝病才可以痊愈。

川楝丸

上述药物研磨成极细末，用面糊作为丸剂，如麻子大小，每次服用三、四丸，用姜汤送下。
Cold-dampness accumulates internally for a long time, and is further invaded by wind-cold and water-dampness, resulting in a cold, hard, and painful scrotum, forming Cold Hernia (Han Shan). It can be treated with Aconite and Cinnamon Twig Decoction (Wutou Guizhi Tang) or Calysma Pill (Jinzhu Wan).
[Note] Cold Hernia occurs because children usually overconsume raw and cold foods, or lie on damp ground, causing Yin-cold to condense internally and Qi stagnation. After a long period, it is constrained by wind-cold and injured by water-dampness. Thus, during an attack, the scrotum becomes cold, knotted, and hard, radiating pain to the lower abdomen. If there are initial exterior symptoms, Aconite and Cinnamon Twig Decoction (Wutou Guizhi Tang) is the primary treatment; for severe cold conditions, Calysma Pill (Jinzhu Wan) is used.
Aconite and Cinnamon Twig Decoction (Wutou Guizhi Tang)
Cinnamon Twig (Guizhi), Red Peony Root (Chishao Yao), Licorice Root (Gancao, roasted), Aconite Root (Wutou).
Add fresh ginger as a guide, decoct in water, and take orally.
[Prescription Verse] Aconite and Cinnamon Twig Decoction treats Cold Hernia, its method of releasing the exterior and warming the middle is excellent; Guang Cinnamon Twig combined with Red Peony Root, Aconite and Licorice guided by Fresh Ginger.
Calysma Pill (Jinzhu Wan)
Melia Fruit (Jinlingzi Rou, 1 liang), Evodia Fruit (Wuzhuyu, 5 qian).
Grind together into fine powder, make pills using wine-boiled wheat paste, size of hemp seeds. Take several pills per dose, administered with salted water.
Excessive consumption of rich flavors generates Damp-Heat, which combines with wind-cold to form Hernia Qi. Even if the scrotum is red and swollen, it often presents with stabbing pain; taking Aconite and Gardenia Decoction (Wutou Zhizi Tang) brings immediate relief.
[Note] Children who habitually overeat rich-flavored foods generate Damp-Heat. The Damp-Heat Qi descends and flows into the scrotum, where it is constrained by wind-cold, leading to the formation of Hernia syndrome. During attacks, the scrotum hangs loose, becomes red and swollen, and suffers frequent stabbing pain. It should be treated with Aconite and Gardenia Decoction (Wutou Zhizi Tang) so that the hernia may heal.
Aconite and Gardenia Decoction (Wutou Zhizi Tang)
Aconite Root (Wutou), Gardenia Fruit (Zhizi, stir-fried).
Decoct in smooth-flowing water with ginger juice, and take orally.
[Prescription Verse] For Hernia pain caused by Damp-Heat encountering cold, Aconite and Gardenia Decoction is most effective; Gardenia, Aconite, and Ginger Juice together, decocted in smooth-flowing water for the disease to subside.
Fetal Hernia (Tai Shan) is often due to excessive crying by the mother; after birth, the infant's scrotum is hard and painful without cessation. Mild cases are treated with Ten-Ingredient Cangbai Powder (Shiwei Cangbai San); severe cases are suitably treated with Jinling Powder (Jinling San) or Toosendan Pill (Chuanlian Wan).
[Note] Fetal Hernia results from excessive crying by the pregnant woman, causing Qi knotting and failing to disperse, accumulating in the uterus, leading to hardness and pain in the infant's scrotum after birth. Mild cases are primarily treated with Ten-Ingredient Cangbai Powder (Shiwei Cangbai San); severe cases are treated with Jinling Powder (Jinling San) or Toosendan Pill (Chuanlian Wan).
Ten-Ingredient Cangbai Powder (Shiwei Cangbai San)
Citrus Peel (Qingpi, vinegar-fried), Sichuan Aconite Child Root (Chuan Fuzi, processed), Phellodendron Bark (Huangbai), Alpinia Oxyphylla Fruit (Yizhiren), Hawthorn Fruit (Nanshan Zha Rou, wine-fried), Atractylodes Rhizome (Cangzhu, soaked in rice wash water), Cyperus Rhizome (Xiangfu, prepared), Corydalis Rhizome (Yuanhusuo, vinegar-fried), Peach Kernel (Taoren), Licorice Root (Gancao, roasted).
Use Small Fennel Seed (Xiaohuixiang) as a guide, decoct in water, and take orally.
[Prescription Verse] Ten-Ingredient Cangbai Powder treats Fetal Hernia; Qingpi, Chuan Fuzi, Huangbai, Shanzha, Cangzhu, Xiangfu, Yizhiren, Yuanhusuo, Taoren, Gancao, guided by Huixiang.
Jinling Powder (Jinling San)
Burreed Tuber (Sanleng), Curcuma Rhizome (Ezhu, each 3 san), Citrus Peel (Chenpi), Red Poria (Chifuling, each 5 qian), Fennel Seed (Huixiang, 3 qian), Licorice Root (Gancao, raw, 2 qian), Areca Seed (Binglang), Bitter Orange (Zhiqiao, bran-fried, each 3 qian), Uncaria Hook (Diaotenggou), Citrus Peel (Qingpi, fried, each 4 qian), Southern Sandalwood Wood (Nanmuxiang, 3 qian), Melia Fruit (Jinlingzi Rou, 1 liang).
For the above herbs, except Binglang and Nanmuxiang which are not subjected to fire processing, bake the rest and grind into fine powder. Take half to one qian per dose, mixed with unfermented wine.
Toosendan Pill (Chuanlian Wan)
Sandalwood Wood (Muxiang), Areca Seed (Binglang), Burreed Tuber (Sanleng), Curcuma Rhizome (Ezhu, each 3 qian), Citrus Peel (Qingpi, vinegar-fried), Citrus Peel (Chenpi, each 4 qian), Toosendan Fruit Flesh (Chuanlian Rou, 8 qian), Genkwa Flower (Yuanhua, vinegar-fried, 5 fen), Spicy Cinnamon (Lagui, 2 qian), Morning Glory Seed (Qianniu, raw kernel taken, 2 qian), Croton Seed (Badou, oil removed, 3 grains).
Grind into extremely fine powder, make pills using wheat paste, size of hemp seeds. Take three or four pills per dose, delivered with ginger water.
