Pale complexion, rebellious Qi, frequent coughing, scorched and withered hair, dry skin resembling millet grains, fever accompanied by aversion to cold, runny clear nasal discharge, sores on the nose and cheeks—this is termed Lung Gan (Lung Malnutrition). Treatment should involve dispersing pathogenic factors and nourishing Sheng Di Huang (Rehmanniae Radix) to clear the Lungs, which is effective; for clearing heat, Gan Lu Yin (Sweet Dew Decoction) is preferred; if it is a case of Lung deficiency, Bu Fei San (Lung-Supplementing Powder) is most excellent. Adjust according to symptoms without delay.
[Note] The Lung corresponds to Metal in the Five Elements, its color is white, and it governs the skin and hair. Initially, use Sheng Di Qing Fei Yin (Sheng Di Huang Clearing Lung Decoction) to disperse and resolve the pathogen, followed by Gan Lu Yin (Sweet Dew Decoction) to clear heat. If the condition persists leading to Lung deficiency, Bu Fei San (Lung-Supplementing Powder) should be used as the primary treatment.
