The patient experiences spasmodic pain in various tendons, itching on the soles of the feet, and headache due to wind pathogen. The pulse at the right Cun position is large, while the rest are deficient; this should be attributed to internal wind caused by Liver Blood deficiency.

After eight days of latent pathogen (Fu Xie), there is sweating, yellow tongue coating, thirst, and cracked lips. Today, there is confusion with delirious speech, chest pain, and nausea upon movement. This indicates the pathogen is located in the Upper Jiao (Heart and Lung), has now affected the Heart, and is accompanied by Liver Qi stagnation. One must prevent vomiting of roundworms and spasms.

The aversion to cold from Winter Warmth (Dong Wen) has ceased. The skin feels cool at times but hot at others. There is thirst, the tongue coating is gradually becoming dry, there is diarrhea, and urination is normal. This indicates that the transferred heat has resolved, but residual heat damaging Lung Yin remains. Subsequently, one should follow Ye's (Ye Tianshi) method of Sweet-Cold herbs. However, the Taiyang meridian and both wrists feel pulling and painful, and there is vomiting of sour green water. This still belongs to accompanying Liver Qi. The treatment method should re-introduce Liver-targeting herbs while avoiding Sweet substances, as patients who vomit contraindicate Sweet herbs.

Having felt wind causing muscle heat for a long time, there is now sweating, yet the tongue coating is yellow and the mouth is dry. There is coughing with watery sputum, itchy throat, and the pulse is wiry and rapid. According to texts, for prolonged Wind-Warmth with heat in both exterior and interior, the Sweet-Cold method should be used.

Wet Malaria was stopped by warming the Spleen. The Stomach qi has opened, stool has become dry, and urination is abundant. The tongue coating has lost its yellow color but remains thick, greasy, and slippery, indicating it is not yet overly dry. It is proposed to again dispel dampness and warm the middle.

Lower abdominal pain, rising Qi causing vomiting. The pulse at Guan and Chi positions on both sides is uniquely large. There is coughing with much phlegm. Long-term illness inevitably leads to blood loss, and the mass shape increases daily with pain. Now suffering from cough, is this not a sign of recovery? Thus, Xue's (Xue Ji) method was used for eight doses without effect. My opinion is that tonification must continue; when the medicinal force is sufficient, the Ma Mu (Malaria mass) will naturally dissipate.
