There are cases where insects grow inside the anus, causing unbearable itching. The insects resemble human shapes, and relief is felt when they move in and out. This strange condition arises from childhood play where wind pathogen entered the body due to external manipulation. Prepare a suppository by frying honey into a stick shape. Add Shechuangzi (Cnidii Fructus), Lianshugen (Meliae Radix Cortex) (each 3 qian), and Sheng Gancao (Raw Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma) (1 qian). Grind them into fine powder and mix with refined honey. Insert into the anus and allow it to melt naturally. One stick suffices to stop itching and cure the disease; it is a miraculous prescription. (*QiTianshi Biezhuan*)
In both men and women, sudden burning heat, swelling, and hardness like stone occur in areas such as the axillae, ribs, arms, legs, and waist, accompanied by unbearable pain and inability to straighten the body. Previous treatments have been ineffective. Use steamed glutinous rice mixed with a small amount of salt and scallion tubes. Pound together and apply as a poultice. After one night, the tension relaxes. This method cures the condition after one or two applications. Discard the residue containing rice into fish ponds or rivers. (*Mao Shi Zisong Fang*)
When agricultural manure is applied to fields and exposed to intense sunlight, people forced to walk barefoot on such ground absorb toxic heat. This inevitably causes swelling and pain in the toe tips, resembling ulceration but not fully open, commonly known as "Ren Fei" (Attracting Fertilizer). Wash the affected area with decoction made from duck feathers to achieve recovery. (Ibid.)
This condition starts at the toes and gradually spreads up to the knees. The skin turns black, muscles sink, and pain is unbearable, leading to sequential shedding of joints. It may also occur on the hands. Use Tu Fengfang (Vespa Crabro Nest), grind into powder, mix with vinegar, and apply topically. Recovery is immediate; truly a miraculous prescription. (Ibid.)
Both soles exhibit convex swelling with black bean-like lesions appearing on the surface. The ulcers are hard like nails. Fragmented holes appear on the tibia with marrow oozing out. The body experiences chills and tremors, with a strong craving for alcohol. This indicates cold and heat mutually devouring the Liver and Kidney. Apply Pao Chuan Wutou (Prepared Aconiti Lateralis Radix) externally. (*Xia Zi Yi Qiji Fang*)
Dissolve Niujiao (Bovis Cornu Colla) in Shengjiang Zhi (Zingiberis Recens Juice), mix with Nanxing (Arisaematis Rhizoma) powder, apply topically, and cover with a heated object for moxibustion-like warming. (*Bifeng Zaxing*)
Cui's Formula treats Onychia (Jia Ju). This may result from cutting nails injuring the flesh or long nails invading the tissue, forming ulcers and swelling. Serous fluid exudes and infects surrounding areas, causing all five fingers to rot. The infection spreads upward to the dorsum pedis, with blisters and pus rising around the edges, resembling burns. The condition is disgusting day and night, and physicians cannot treat it. Take Lvfanshi (Chalcanthite) (5 liang), burn until juices evaporate, grind into powder, and store when the color resembles Huangdan (Minium). Before each application, wash and wipe the area with saline solution. Apply a thick layer of the powder. Wrap the wound warmly with soft silk. Exudation stops immediately, and the ulcer dries. Repeat once daily: wash with saline, clean any purulent areas thoroughly, apply powder to scabs, and avoid dry areas. If acute pain occurs, apply a small amount of Su (Butyrum) to moisten the area. After five days, the scab falls off. Follow the previous washing routine, apply medication for ten days, and the scab will gradually peel off completely. If soft tissue regenerates white pustules, puncture and apply powder; natural healing ensues. Formerly, Vice Minister Zhang suffered from this, bedridden for sixty days. Capital physicians' prescriptions failed. Upon using this method, he recovered miraculously. (*Waitai Miyao*)
