肿大塞满胀硬，实时气绝，名为 舌。用皂矾不拘多少，新瓦上火 变红色，放地上候冷，研细。将病患拗开牙关，
用此擦舌立愈。重舌、木舌，同治并效。（《南阳活人书》）

有人喉中似有物，行动吐痰则痛更甚，身上皮肤开裂，有水流出，目红肿而又不痛，足如斗肿而又可行，真绝世不
见之症。此乃人食生菜，有蜈蚣在叶上，不知而食之，乃生蜈蚣于胃口之上。入胃则胃痛，上喉则喉痛，饥则痛更甚也。
方用鸡一只煮熟，五香调治，芬馥之气逼人。乘人睡熟，将鸡列在病患口边，则蜈蚣自然外走。倘见蜈蚣走出，或一条，
或数条，立时拿住，不可任其仍进口中。盖喉间走动惟蜈蚣，非他物所能也。自出尽后，则皮肤之裂自愈，而足肿如
斗亦消矣。（《华仙师乩方》）

如果患者连水和流质食物都无法咽下，使用元精石（二两）、牛黄、朱砂、龙脑（各一分）共同研磨成粉末。用针刺破舌头排出瘀血，用盐水漱口后，将药末撒在患处，让患者吞咽津液，即可见效。（出自《圣惠方》）
使用丹砂（朱砂）敷在患处，暗中将盆罐摔碎，制造出物体坠地的声音，通过惊吓使肿胀消退。（出自《奇方类编》）
有人嘴唇上长出疮疡，时间久了，疮口处长出类似牙齿的东西在嘴唇上，这是由于七情（喜、怒、忧、思、悲、恐、惊）忧郁，导致火邪内生而生出“齿”，属于奇特的病症。使用冰片（一分）、僵蚕粉末（一钱）、炒黄柏粉末（三钱），混合后撒在患处，那些“齿”自然会消失。（出自《岐天师别传》）
用棉絮包裹筷子头，蘸盐擦拭患处，每天五到六次。（出自《孙真人千金方》）
有人感觉喉咙里好像有异物，活动时吐痰则疼痛加剧，身上皮肤开裂并有水流出，眼睛红肿但不痛，脚像斗一样肿胀但还能行走，这真是世间罕见、从未见过的病症。这是因为人吃了生菜，菜叶上有蜈蚣，不知情而吞食下去，从而在胃口上方生出蜈蚣。蜈蚣进入胃中则胃痛，上行至喉咙则喉痛，饥饿时疼痛更剧烈。处方是用一只鸡煮熟，用五种香料调味，香气逼人。趁患者熟睡时，将鸡放在患者嘴边，蜈蚣就会自然向外爬走。如果看到蜈蚣爬出来，无论是一条还是几条，立即抓住，不可任其重新爬入口中。因为能在喉咙间走动的只有蜈蚣，不是其他东西能做到的。蜈蚣全部爬出后，皮肤的裂口自然愈合，脚肿如斗的症状也会消除。（出自《华仙师乩方》）
The tongue swells, filling the mouth, feeling distended and hard, potentially leading to sudden cessation of breath and death; this condition is named "Tongue Swelling" (Severe swelling and obstruction of the tongue). Use any amount of Vitriol (Ferric Sulfate), heat it on a new tile until it turns red, place it on the ground to cool, and grind it into fine powder. Pry open the patient's jaw, apply this powder to wipe the tongue, and it will be cured immediately. For Double Tongue (a small tongue-like growth under the main tongue) and Wooden Tongue (stiffness and numbness of the tongue), the same treatment is effective and yields results. If the patient cannot swallow water or liquids, use Yuanjing Stone (2 liang), Realgar (Bovine Calculus), Cinnabar, and Borneolum Syntheticum (each 1 fen), grind them together into powder. Prick the tongue with a needle to release blood, rinse the mouth with salt water, sprinkle the powder on the affected area, and have the patient swallow their saliva for efficacy. Apply Cinnabar to the affected area. Secretly smash pots and pans to create the sound of falling objects; the shock will cause the swelling to subside spontaneously. (From *Qifang Leibian*)
There are cases where sores grow on the lips, and after a long time, tooth-like structures emerge from the sore on the lip. This is caused by emotional depression (Seven Emotions), leading to internal fire generating these "teeth," which is a rare symptom. Use Borneolum Syntheticum (1 fen), Powdered Bombyx Batryticatus (1 qian), and stir-fried Powder of Phellodendri Cortex (3 qian), mix them, and sprinkle on the lesion; the "teeth" will naturally disappear. Wrap chopsticks with cotton, dip in salt, and wipe the affected area. Do this five to six times a day. (From *Sun Taoren Qianjin Fang*)
A person feels as if there is an object in the throat; pain worsens when moving and expectorating phlegm. The skin on the body cracks and oozes fluid. The eyes are red and swollen but not painful. The feet are swollen like a bucket yet the person can still walk. This is truly a peerless, unprecedented condition. It arises because the person ate raw vegetables containing a centipede on the leaves, unknowingly ingesting it, which then generates centipedes above the stomach opening. If it enters the stomach, it causes stomach pain; if it ascends to the throat, it causes throat pain; hunger exacerbates the pain. The prescription involves cooking one chicken thoroughly, seasoning it with five spices, creating an overpowering fragrance. While the patient is asleep, place the chicken near the patient's mouth, and the centipede will naturally crawl out. If you see the centipede emerging, whether one or several, seize it immediately; do not let it re-enter the mouth. Only centipedes can move within the throat; no other creature can. After all centipedes have exited, the skin cracks will heal spontaneously, and the bucket-like foot swelling will also subside. (From *Huaxianshi Jifang*)
