All are secret formulas that have been clinically effective but not previously transmitted. Whether for men, women, or children, all conditions, no matter how minute or complex, are fully covered. Dan Pills

The first is Yin Ya Dan (Silver Sprout Pill), the second is Jin Ya Dan (Golden Sprout Pill); they are not comparable to ordinary cinnabar treated by the "Fu Huo" (hidden fire) method. Zhao Yanzheng wrote a preface for them, which is not recorded here due to length. Bai Fu Zi (Fuzi Rhizoma, 6 liang), Di Gu Pi (Lycii Cortex, 3 liang), Chuan Jiao (Sichuan Pepper, 3 liang), Gou Qi Zi (Lycium Fruit, 3 liang), Shi Wei (Pyrrosiae Folium, 3 liang), Xi Xin (Asari Radix et Rhizoma, 3 liang), Tian Qie Zi (Solanum Torvum Fruit, 3 liang). The above herbs do not require special processing; crush and sieve them into fine powder. Use a porcelain box with a diameter of 3 cun, circumference of 9 cun, and height of 4 cun, ensuring all dimensions are large. First... [text missing] Then take 5 liang, 7 liang, or 10 liang of block-shaped Cinnabar (Zhusha), mix evenly with honey. Pack the herb powder tightly around the inside walls up to the rim, leaving a small space at the top. Spread a layer of pepper powder on top. Seal the lid, tie the box securely with copper wire in a cross pattern. Mix paper fibers with glue mud to seal cracks. Reinforce the sides of the box to a thickness of about half an inch, dry in the shade. Place the box on the ground, surround it with ash mixed with vinegar to fix the mud box. Stand twenty jin of charcoal and one jin of cooked charcoal around it, allowing them to ignite slowly. After half a day, ensure everything is burning until it cools down the next day. Open the box, remove the processed Cinnabar. Its shape, size, and weight remain unchanged, only the color turns purple. Mix again with honey as before. After the third refining process, it becomes the Dan pill. Total charcoal consumption: sixty jin. This method is wonderful! During refining, avoid letting chickens, dogs, women, or mourners see it. Using Kunlun paper coated with more ink is better.

Treats lung deficiency caused by stagnant cold, wheezing and急促 (rapid breathing) due to phlegm excess, chronic cough with blood in sputum, qi deficiency with cold invasion, intestinal slippage (diarrhea), and spleen-stomach inability to accept food. This medicine is extremely effective for treating all critical and difficult diseases. Transmitted by Vice Minister Zhou Yanguang. Lian Cheng Zhong Ru Fen (Calcitriol Powder, 1 liang), Zhen Yang Qi Shi (Real Yang Rising Stone, 2 qian). Calcine the stone on a new tile over slow heat until red hot, remove from fire, let cool, and grind to extreme fineness. Mix the two powders evenly. Bind with the tip of a glutinous rice zongzi (sticky rice dumpling) to form pills the size of a cockspur grain (jitou). When preparing, add 1 qian of Bai Shi Zhi (Halloysitum Rubrum), stirring continuously in a large plate until 80-90% hard. Dry in the shade. Polish with new coarse cloth dipped in Talcum Powder (Hua Shi Mo). Take 2-3 pills per dose. Take on an empty stomach with Ginseng Decoction or aged rice water.
