使用臭橘叶煎汤。连续服用可愈。

Use fresh Aiwei (Artemisia argyi tail). Grind with Jinghua water (well water drawn at dawn). Add Puxiao (Mirabilite). Hold in mouth and swallow saliva.

Baiyaojian (Perfermented Loquat Leaf Pill), Pengsha (Borax), Gancao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma), ShengBaifan (Alumen crude, equal parts). The above four herbs are ground into fine powder. Take one qian each time. Mix with rice drink after meals.

Treats throat swelling and pain.
Grind Shandougen (Sophorae Tonkinensis Radix) with vinegar. Hold in mouth to draw out phlegm/saliva.
Another prescription
Baifan (Alumen, three qian) Badou (Crotonis Fructus, three seeds, shell removed). Stir-fry together until Baifan is dry/crisp. Remove Badou. Only grind Baifan into powder. Mix and administer orally. Or apply drops into the throat.
Huangqin Tang (Scutellaria Decoction) Treats throat swelling and pain, mouth ulcers, and other diseases.
Huangqin (Scutellariae Radix) Bibo (Piperis Kadsurae Fructus). Equal parts ground into powder. Decoct for gargling. Extremely effective.
Longnao Dansha Wan (Camphor and Cinnabar Pill) Treats throat swelling and pain, redness and swelling of the tongue base, cheeks, and tooth roots; irritability, dry throat, excessive thirst, and unstable sleep.
Longnao (Camphora, ground, two qian) Dansha (Cinnabaris, ground, half liang) Renshen (Ginseng Radix) Baifuling (Poria, black skin removed, each one liang) Lingyangjiao (Saigae Tataricae Cornu, shaved) Xijiao (Rhinocerotis Cornu, shaved) Gancao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma, each one fen)
Grind into powder. Mix thoroughly again. Form pills with refined honey, size of a chestnut seed. Take one pill each time. Dissolve in mouth and swallow saliva. Take after meals and before bed.
Treats flesh growing in the throat, layer upon layer, gradually swelling up, painless, developing orifices after many days, emitting foul odor, leading to loss of appetite.
Decoct Chouju ye (Foliage of Clausena lansium) and take continuously until cured.
Treats sudden throat pain.
Burn Xuanmu gou (Wood of Ficus hirta) to ash. Administer with water, one fangcun bi (measure). Three times daily.
Daizhen San (Needle-Replacement Powder, also known as Jiangxue San) Treats throat swelling and pain, obstruction of breath.
Pishuang (Arsenicum Rubrum, monarch herb, small amount) Baifan (Alumen, minister herb, size of soap bean) Yaxiao (Natrii Sulfas, three liang) Xiaoshi (Nitrums, four liang) Huangdan (Minii Oxidum, half liang) Badou (Crotonis Fructus, six seeds)
Insert one [seed], then insert one piece of Shed Snake Skin (She Tuipí).
Apply to the affected area. Avoid chickens, dogs, and women.
Michuan Jiedu Wan (Secretly Transmitted Detoxification Pill) Treats all kinds of toxic sores and ulcers, throat swelling and pain.

Decoct Mutong (Akebiae Caulis) and take orally. Or hold Mutong in mouth. Swallowing saliva is also acceptable.

Decoct Gancao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma), remove dregs. Take one zhan (cup) warm. Three times daily.
Treats all kinds of swelling and toxicity in the throat and jaw.
Take one liang of Chanqiao (Cicadae Periostracum). Grind into powder. Mix with Pig Gallbladder Juice (Zhudan zhi) and honey. Apply to the swollen area. Disappears immediately.
Treats itchy and painful throat, aphonia (loss of voice).
Xingren (Pruni Armeniaci Semen Amarum, peel and tips removed, stir-fried) Guixin (Cinnamomi Ramulus, ground into powder). Each of the two herbs, one liang. Grind together until paste-like. Mix with semi-ripe honey to form pills the size of a cherry.
Wrap in new cotton wool. Hold in mouth and swallow saliva. Five times daily, three times at night. Highly effective.
