黄帝问素女说：男子禀受的气血，阴阳是均衡的。男子属阳，容易先出现耳目方面的病症。这源于他们所喜好之事。若纵欲过度，会导致阴茎痿软不起。
妇人应当谨慎。
六腑、五脏之气有虚实盈缺之分。
身体的起居饮食、少腹状况、玉茎（阴茎）状态、目视情况、心中恐惧警惕、恍惚健忘、如杵捣胸膈、咳逆上气等，都是损伤中气、房劳过度的表现，身体会痿弱，不可不防备。触犯这些禁忌，会导致脏腑虚实失调。
其病因缘由、本源症状如下：
风邪侵袭加用祛风药。
黄帝说：夏季三个月……秋季三个月……
……对有四时养生之法，乃仙人所造之方。
更生丸（出自《圣惠方》）能治疗男子五劳七伤。症见阴器萎缩变小，阴囊下生疮，腰脊背部疼痛，不能俯仰，两膝髌骨寒冷，时常热痒或有时浮肿，难以行走，目受风邪流泪，远视模糊，咳逆上气，身体萎黄，绕脐疼痛，多梦惊恐，口干舌强，口渴想饮水。此药主治此症，效果显著。春季三个月适宜服用。
茯苓（四分，若不消食则三分加一分）、石菖蒲（四分，若耳聋则三分加一分）、山茱萸（四分，若身痒则三分加一分）。机关不利加……分；若目……分；若有痔……分；若痿弱……分（四分，若体……蜜丸。早晚……等……）。
补肾茯苓丸 治疗男子内虚，不能进食饮水，神情恍惚喜忘，悲伤忧愁不乐，恚怒无常，或身体浮肿，小便淋沥不尽，阴部瘙痒潮湿。犯七忌，上部以……余疗。秋季三个月适宜服用。

There are deficiencies and excesses in the Qi of the six Fu organs and five Zang organs.
Regarding the body's daily routine, lower abdomen condition, state of the penis (Yujing), vision, fearfulness in the heart, forgetfulness, a sensation like a pestle pounding the chest/diaphragm, coughing with rebellious Qi, these are signs of damaging the Middle Jiao through sexual exhaustion, leading to physical emaciation. One must not neglect prevention. Violating these taboos results in disharmony of deficiency and excess in the Zang-Fu organs.

Gengsheng Wan (New Life Pill) [from *Shenghui Fang*] can treat the Five Exhaustions and Seven Injuries in men. Symptoms include shrinking and atrophy of the genitalia, sores under the scrotum, pain in the waist, spine, and back, inability to bend or straighten, coldness in both knees and patellae, frequent heat and itching or occasional edema, difficulty walking, wind affecting the eyes causing tearing, blurred distance vision, coughing with rebellious Qi, sallow complexion, periumbilical pain, nightmares and fright, dry mouth and stiff tongue, thirst. This medicine treats these conditions and is very effective. It is suitable for consumption during the three months of Spring.
