沉香（三钱） 净青皮 三棱 莪术（各七钱） 巴豆（二十一粒去壳） 上除沉香外、
脾胃、大小肠和膀胱，是饮食消化的根本，也是营气所在的地方，被称为“器”，能够消化糟粕，转化味道并排出体外。
所谓关格，是指大便不通称为内关，小便不通称为外格，大小便都不通称为关格。这是由于阴阳之气不和，相互格拒而导致的大小便不通。
另外，如果风邪侵入三焦，导致三焦功能约束，就会出现小肠内部疼痛闭塞，大小便不通，并且手足寒冷，这是三阴经气逆乱的表现，三天后就会死亡。
诊察脉象，如果脉搏浮而牢坚且滑直，说明病情危重。
大小便困难，是由于冷热不调，大小肠中有游走的邪气。这种游走的气停留在肠间，与糟粕相搏结，导致小便无法通畅流动，因此大便也难以排出。
茱萸汤（出自《千金方》），治疗腹部和胁部胀满，关格，大小便不通。
药材：吴茱萸（用汤浸泡清洗去涎沫，晒干微炒）、大黄（锉碎炒制）、当归（切片焙干）、桂枝（去掉粗皮）、赤芍药、甘草（炙烤）。
用法：将上述药材切碎，每次服用五钱，加水一盏半，煎至七分，温服。
木香散，治疗下焦热盛，大小便不通，气机胀满闷塞。
药材：木香、黄芩（去掉黑心部分）、木通（锉碎炒制）、陈皮（用汤浸泡去掉白瓤焙干）、冬葵子（研磨）、瞿麦穗。
用法：将上述药材切碎，每次服用四钱，加水一盏，煎至七分，温服。
荆芥散，治疗大小便困难，腹部胀满短气。
药材：荆芥、川芎、蒲黄、当归（锉碎炒制）、桂心、水蛭（三十枚炒制）、川大黄（二两锉碎炒制）。
用法：将上述药材制成细末，炼蜜为丸，如梧桐子大，每次服用二十丸，温水送下。
茯苓丸，治疗大小便不通。
药材：赤茯苓（去掉黑皮）、芍药、当归（切片焙干）、枳壳（去掉瓤麸炒）、白术、人参（各五两）、火麻仁。
用法：将上述药材研为细末，炼蜜为丸，如梧桐子大，每次服用三十丸，温水送下。
大黄汤，治疗中焦热实闭塞，关格不通，呕吐逆气，喘息急促。
药材：大黄（锉碎炒制）、前胡（去掉芦头）、半夏（用汤浸泡七次后炒制）、人参、黄芩（去掉黑心）、赤茯苓（去掉黑皮）。
用法：将上述药材切碎，每次服用四钱，加水一盏，煎至七分，温服。
赤芍药丸，治疗大小便困难，脐腹妨碍闷痛。
药材：赤芍药、桂心、羌活（各半两）、川大黄（锉碎炒制）、郁李仁（用汤浸泡去皮炒制）、川芒硝、槟榔。
用法：将上述药材研为细末，炼蜜为丸，如梧桐子大，每次服用二十丸，温水送下。
芍药汤（又名大黄散），治疗大小便不通，心腹胀满闷痛，难以忍受。
药材：赤芍药、桑根白皮（锉碎，各三两）、瞿麦穗、大黄（锉碎炒制）、榆白皮（锉碎）、防风（去掉芦头）、火麻仁。
用法：将上述药材切碎，每次服用四钱，加水一盏，煎至七分，空腹时温服，晚上再服一次。
牵牛子丸，治疗下焦结热，肠胃干燥涩滞，大小便不通。
药材：黑牵牛（淘洗干净炒至气味透出取出摊凉取粉末三两）、青橘皮（焙干连白瓤使用）、桑根白皮（锉碎炒制）。
用法：将上述药材研为细末，炼蜜捣匀为丸，如梧桐子大，每次服用二十丸，温水送下。
白术散，治疗大小便困难，腹部和胁部胀满气急。
药材：白术、牵牛子（炒制）、木通（锉碎）、川大黄（锉碎炒制）、槟榔、川朴硝（各一两）、陈皮（半两去白瓤）。
用法：将上述药材研为细末，每次服用二钱，温水调下。
滑石汤，治疗大小便俱不通。
药材：滑石（一两半）、白茅根、车前子（各三分）、天门冬（去掉心焙干）、冬瓜瓤、莨菪子（浮者去除）。
用法：将上述药材切碎，每次服用四钱，加水一盏，煎至七分，温服。
木通散，治疗大小便气机壅塞不利，胀满，关格不通。
药材：木通（锉碎）、川朴硝、郁李仁（用汤浸泡去皮炒制）、车前子（各一两）、黄芩、瞿麦穗（各半两）。
用法：将上述药材研为细末，每次服用二钱，温水调下。
大黄散，治疗关格不通烦闷，大小便秘涩。
药材：大黄（锉碎二两）、桂枝（去掉粗皮三分）、冬瓜子（炒制一两）、滑石（研磨三两）、朴硝（生铁锅中炒干刮取）。

药材：黄芩（去掉黑心二两）、赤芍药、白茅根、大黄（生用各三两）、瞿麦穗（一两半）。
用法：将上述药材切碎，每次服用四钱，加水一盏，煎至七分，温服。
甘遂散，治疗气痞，心腹胀满，喘促，大小便不利。
药材：甘遂（煨制）、牵牛子（炒制）、续随子（去掉壳）、葶苈子、大戟（各等分）。
用法：将上述药材研为细末，每次服用半钱，浓煎甘草汤调下。
大黄散，治疗大小便不通。
药材：大黄（煨制）、牛蒡子（炒制）、羌活、独活、滑石（各等分）。
用法：将上述药材研为细末，用熟水调下，空腹服用即通利。

榆白皮汤，治疗大小便俱不通。
药材：榆白皮、甘草（炙制锉碎各二两半）、滑石（三两）、桂枝（去掉粗皮一两）。
用法：将上述药材切碎，每次服用四钱，加水一盏，煎至七分，温服。
木通汤，治疗大小便不通。
药材：木通（锉碎二两）、大黄（锉碎生用）、滑石（各三两）、火麻仁（一合研磨如膏状）。
用法：将上述药材切碎，先煮木通、大黄、滑石，去滓后加入火麻仁膏，温服。
蒸下部方，治疗大小便不通，腹部和胁部坚硬胀满。
药材：莲叶（二两）、葱（三七茎连同须，去掉叶子切碎）、皂角（一挺炙制锉碎）、生姜（一两切碎）。
用法：将上述药材用浆水一斗二升，煎至减半，去滓，趁热熏蒸下部，待水温适宜倾出洗涤。
大黄散（出自《肘后方》），治疗风冷气侵入小肠，突然疼痛，坚硬紧急如吹起状，大小便不通，或小肠有气结聚。
药材：川大黄（锉碎炒制）、苦参（锉碎）、贝齿（烧成灰）、滑石（各一两）。
用法：将上述药材研为细末，每次服用二钱，葵根汤调下。
掩脐方（又名葱豆汤，出自《危氏方》），治疗大小便不通。
药材：带根葱（二三茎）、生姜（一块带土）、淡豆豉（十一粒）、盐（二匙）。
用法：将上述药材共同研磨烂，捏成饼子，敷在脐上。
海金沙散，治疗各种大小便不通。
药材：海金沙、芒硝、朴硝、麝香（各等分）。
用法：将上述药材研为细末，白开水调服。大便不通者，加巴豆一枚。
黄连散，治疗大小便秘涩壅热。
药材：黄连、川大黄（各二两用好醋炒制）、黄芩、甘草（各一两炙制）。

药材：水银（一块豆大研细）、巴豆（二粒去壳膜）、硫黄（三块如豆大）。
用法：将上述药材研为膏状，做成一个制剂，涂抹于脐上。
濡脏汤，治疗大小便难，腹中有燥粪，寒热烦迫短气，汗出腹胀。（方见濡脏汤）

推车散（出自《本事方》），治疗大小便秘，经月欲死者。
药材：推车虫（七个）、土狗（七个）（如男子病推车虫用头，土狗用身；如女子病土狗用头，推车虫用身）。
用法：将上述药材在新瓦上焙干为末，用向南的虎目树皮浓煎汁调服，只服一次即愈。治卒然关格，大小便不通，支满欲死，二三日则杀人。此方出自《肘后方》。
苦酒涂脐方，治卒关格，大小便不通，支满欲死。
药材：苦酒、硝（等分）。
用法：混合后涂抹在脐上，干了就换。
又方（出自《肘后方》），治卒关格，大小便不通。
药材：甘遂（二铢）、贝齿（二枚）。
用法：捣碎后纳入肛门，用三合浆水，全部服下，片刻即通。
紫金沙散，治疗大小便不通。
药材：紫金沙不拘多少、蜂房蒂七枚。
用法：捣为细末，每次服用一钱，温酒调下。
土马鬃汤，治疗大小便不通。
药材：土马鬃不拘多少。
用法：用水淘净，用新砖过火，研为粗末，每次服用二钱，加水一盏，煎至七分，去渣温服。
猪脂酒方（出自《千金方》），治疗大小便不通。
药材：猪脂如半个鸡蛋大。
用法：切碎，用酒一升微煮沸，投入猪脂再煎一二沸，分为两度，食前温服。
发灰散（出自《肘后方》），治疗大小便不通，及便血。
药材：乱发一两。
用法：洗净烧灰为末，细研，每次服用三钱，温水调下，食前服，日三次，以通利为度。
冬葵子汤，治疗大小便不通。
药材：冬葵子。
用法：微炒一两捣筛，用水二盏，煎一盏，去渣，加入人乳半合，和匀，空腹服用。
盐熨法，治疗卒然大小便不通（出自《家藏经验方》）。
药材：盐。
用法：用纸包裹盐烧红，投入水中服之。一方将盐填入脐内即通。又以盐和苦酒敷脐。又用水三升，煮盐三合。
蔓荆子油法，治疗大小便关格闭塞（出自《圣惠方》）。
药材：蔓荆子油一合。
用法：空腹服用即通。通后出汗不要奇怪。
乌柏皮法，治疗大小便关格不通，肚胀气筑，心闷绝（出自《圣惠方》）。
药材：乌柏树东面白皮。
用法：阴干为末，如五七日不通，热水调下二钱。如急用，火上焙干为妙。
铁脚丸（又名皂荚饮，出自《圣惠方》），治疗大小便关格不通，经三五日者。
药材：不蛀皂角。
用法：烧灰研细，粥饮调下三钱立通。一方用皂角，炙去皮子为末，酒糊或炼蜜为丸。

药材：葵子末一升、青竹叶一把。

用法：纸裹三四重，炭火烧之，令内一升汤中浸服。当先饮汤一升已，吐出乃服之。

药材：苍术（一两）、巴豆（十粒）、京三棱（半两炒）。
用法：为末，白面糊丸，绿豆大，每服五七丸，食后米饮下。
扁竹根汁，治疗男女水道不通，诸药不能疗。
药材：扁竹生紫花者根。
用法：水边生者为佳，研自然汁一盏，服通即止药，不可便服补药。
槟榔散，治疗大小便不通，亦治肠胃有湿，大便秘涩。
药材：槟榔至大者半枚、麦门冬熟水磨一钱。
用法：重汤烫热服之。一方为末，每服二钱，蜜汤点服。
神仙导水丸，治疗上盛下虚，水火不能升降，大便秘涩，小便不通，赤眼口疮，便红泻血，吐血泄痢不止者。兼治诸积气块，小儿脾疾，妇人经脉不通，男子打扑伤损等证。

药材：莲心（四十九粒瓦上焙干为末）、建茶（一小挑）、蜜（一匙）。
用法：上作一服，用井花水半盏，调匀。
桃叶汁，治疗大小便并不通。
药材：桃叶。
用法：取汁，和服半升。冬用桃树皮。
田螺法，利大小便，去腹中结热，目下黄。
药材：田中螺。
用法：煮食之。
井泉水法，调中下肠胃热气，利大小便。
药材：好井水，及土石间新出泉水。
用法：多饮之，令至喉少停即咽下。
猪肠法，治大小肠风热。
药材：猪肠脏。
用法：食之。
蓖麻粥法，治大小便关格不通（出自《本草》）。
药材：蓖麻汁。
用法：煮粥食之。
大麻子茴香散，一方（出自《永类钤方》），治大小便皆秘，加腹胀如鼓，气促。
药材：大麻子（炒去壳半两）、八角茴香（七个）。
用法：上作末，生葱白三七个，同研，熟汤调五苓散。
沉香散，又方，治宿食便秘而喘（出自《永类钥方》）。
药材：沉香（三钱）、净青皮、三棱、莪术（各七钱）、巴豆（二十一粒去壳）。
用法：上除沉香外，余药为末，入沉香拌匀，炼蜜丸，梧桐子大，每服十丸，温水下。
The spleen, stomach, large intestine, small intestine, and bladder are the foundation of granaries (digestive system) and the residence of Ying Qi (nutritive qi). They are called "vessels," capable of transforming waste and converting flavors for excretion.
Guan-Ge (Obstruction and Rejection) refers to: constipation is called Inner Guan (Inner Obstruction); urinary retention is called Outer Ge (Outer Rejection); both constipation and urinary retention are called Guan-Ge. This results from the disharmony and mutual rejection of Yin and Yang Qi, leading to the obstruction of bowel and bladder movements.
Furthermore, if Wind pathogen invades the San Jiao (Triple Burner), causing constraint of the San Jiao, there will be internal pain and closure of the small intestine, accompanied by constipation, urinary retention, and coldness in the hands and feet. This indicates reversal of all three Yin meridians, which leads to death within three days.
Palpation of the pulse reveals a floating, firm, slippery, and straight quality, indicating a critical condition.
Difficulty in passing stool and urine is caused by imbalance of cold and heat, with wandering Qi in the large and small intestines. This wandering Qi stays between the intestines, battling with fecal matter, preventing the smooth flow of urine, and consequently making defecation difficult.
Wuzhuyu Tang (Evodia Decoction, from *Qianjin Fang*) treats abdominal and hypochondriac distension, Guan-Ge, and obstruction of both stool and urine.
Herbs: Wu Zhuyu (Evodiae Fructus, soaked in water to remove saliva, dried and lightly stir-fried), Dahuang (Rhei Radix et Rhizoma, sliced and stir-fried), Danggui (Angelicae Sinensis Radix, sliced and baked), Guizhi (Cinnamomi Ramulus, bark removed), Chishao Yao (Paeoniae Radix Rubra), Gancao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma, honey-fried).

Wuxuan San (Five-Ventilation Powder) treats obstruction of stool and urine, promoting the movement of stagnant Qi.

Usage: Slice the herbs, take 4 qian, add 1 sheng of water, decoct to 0.7 sheng, and take warm.
Yubaidi Tang (Elm Bark Decoction) treats complete obstruction of stool and urine.
Herbs: Yubaidi (Ulmus Cortex), Gancao (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma, honey-fried and sliced, each 2.5 lian), Huashi (Talcum, 3 lian), Gui (Cinnamomi Ramulus, bark removed, 1 lian).

Mutong Tang (Akebia Decoction) treats obstruction of stool and urine.
Herbs: Mutong (Akebiae Caulis, sliced, 2 lian), Dahuang (Rhei Radix et Rhizoma, sliced raw), Huashi (Talcum) (each 3 lian), Maziren (Cannabis Semen, one he measured as paste).
Usage: Slice the herbs, first decoct Mutong, Dahuang, and Huashi, remove dregs, then add Maziren paste, and take warm.
Steaming Lower Part Formula, treats obstruction of stool and urine, hardness and distension of the abdomen and hypochondrium.
Herbs: Lianye (Nelumbinis Folium, 2 lian), Cong (Allii Fistulosi Bulb, 3-7 stalks including roots, leaves removed and chopped), Zaojiao (Gleditsiae Fructus, one stick roasted and sliced), Shengjiang (Zingiberis Rhizoma Recens, 1 lian chopped).
Usage: Add 1 dou 2 sheng of Jiangshui (fermented grain liquid), decoct until reduced by half, remove dregs, steam the lower part with the hot liquid, and wash when the temperature is suitable.
Dahuang San (Rhubarb Powder, from *Zhouhou Fang*) treats wind-cold Qi entering the small intestine, sudden pain, hardness and urgency like inflation, obstruction of stool and urine, or Qi knot in the small intestine.
Herbs: Chuan Dahuang (Rhei Radix et Rhizoma, sliced and stir-fried), Kushen (Sophorae Flavescentis Radix, sliced), Beichi (Concha Arcae, burnt to ash), Huashi (Talcum) (each 1 lian).
Usage: Grind into fine powder, take 2 qian each time, mixed with Kui Gen Tang (Mallow Root Decoction).
Yanqi Fang (Umbilical Covering Formula, also known as Congdou Tang, from *Wei Shi Fang*) treats obstruction of stool and urine.
Herbs: Liangen Cong (Allii Fistulosi Bulb with roots, 2-3 stalks), Shengjiang (Zingiberis Rhizoma Recens, one piece with soil), Danshidouchi (Sojae Semens Praeparatum, 11 grains), Yan (Sal).
Usage: Grind together until pasty, shape into cakes, and apply to the umbilicus.
Haijinsha San (Lygodium Powder) treats various cases of obstruction of stool and urine.
Herbs: Haijinsha (Lygodii Spora), Mangxiao (Natrii Sulfas), Puxiao (Natrii Sulfas), Shexiang (Moschus) (equal parts).

Huanglian San (Coptis Powder) treats constipation with dryness, heat accumulation.

Usage: Grind into fine powder, grind until mercury stars disappear, take 1 qian each time, mixed with Congbai Tang (Green Onion Decoction).
Liuhuang Gao (Sulfur Ointment) treats constipation (from *Jingyan Liangfang*).
Herbs: Shuiyin (Hydrargyrum, bean-sized piece, finely ground), Badou (Crotonis Fructus, two kernels, shell and membrane removed), Liuhuang (Sulfur, three bean-sized pieces).
Usage: Grind into a paste, form one dose, and apply to the umbilicus.
Ruzang Tang (Moistening Viscera Decoction) treats difficulty in stool and urine, dry feces in the abdomen, alternating chills and fever, irritability, shortness of breath, sweating, and abdominal distension. (Formula see Ruzang Tang)
Muxiang San (Costus Powder) treats difficulty in stool and urine (from *Shenghui Fang*).
Herbs: Muxiang (Aucklandiae Radix), Qingdai (Indigo Naturalis) (each half lian), Mayou (Sesame Oil, 2 he).
Usage: Add 1 sheng of water, decoct until water is gone, leaving only oil, remove dregs, and divide into two doses.
Dongkuigen Zhi Fang (Winter Mallow Root Juice Formula) treats obstruction of stool and urine.
Herbs: Sheng Dongkuigen (Malvae Radix, washed clean, 2 jin, pounded and juiced to obtain 3 he), Shengjiang (Zingiberis Rhizoma Recens, 4 lian, pounded and juiced to obtain 1 he).
Usage: Mix evenly, divide into two doses, take once on an empty stomach.
Hujiao San (Pepper Powder) treats Guan-Ge obstruction of stool and urine (from *Shenghui Fang*).
Herbs: Hujiao (Piperis Longi Fructus, twenty grains, pounded and ground), Chuan Puxiao (Natrii Sulfas, half lian).
Usage: Add 1 sheng of water, decoct pepper to 0.6 sheng, remove dregs, add Xiao, decoct until boiling once more.

Herbs: Nifen (Calomel, 1 qian), Sheng Mayou (Raw Sesame Oil, 1 he).
Usage: Mix well, take on an empty stomach.
Shuhua San (Hibiscus Powder) treats Guan-Ge obstruction of stool and urine, abdominal distension, rebellious Qi, extreme mental distress (from *Shenghui Fang*).
Herbs: Shuhua (Hibisci Mutabilis Flos, 1 lian, pounded), Shexiang (Moschus, half qian, ground).
Usage: Add 1 sheng of water, decoct to 0.5 sheng, remove dregs and take. If flowers are unavailable, use roots.
Tuiche San (Pushcart Insect Powder) (from *Benshi Fang*) treats severe constipation lasting a month, approaching death.
Herbs: Tuiche Chong (Staphylinidae Insect, seven pieces), Tudougou (Ground Beetle, seven pieces) (For men: use head of Tuiche Chong, body of Tudougou; for women: use head of Tudougou, body of Tuiche Chong).
Usage: Roast on a new tile until dry, grind into powder, mix with concentrated decoction of Nanxiang Huskipi (Southern-facing Birch Bark), take one dose for cure. Treats acute Guan-Ge, obstruction of stool and urine, fullness approaching death, fatal within 2-3 days. From *Zhouhou Fang*.
Kujiu Navel Application, treats acute Guan-Ge, obstruction of stool and urine, fullness approaching death.
Herbs: Kujiu (Vinegar), Xiao (Natrii Sulfas) (equal parts).
Usage: Mix and apply to the umbilicus, change when dry.
Another Formula (from *Zhouhou Fang*) treats acute Guan-Ge, obstruction of stool and urine.
Herbs: Gansui (Kansui Radix, 2 zhu), Beichi (Concha Arcae, 2 pieces).
Usage: Pound and insert into anus, drink 3 he of Jiangshui, pass quickly.
Zijinsha San (Purple Gold Sand Powder) treats obstruction of stool and urine.
Herbs: Zijinsha (Purple Gold Sand, any amount), Fengfang Di (Honeycomb Peduncle, seven pieces).
Usage: Pound into powder, take 1 qian each time, mixed with warm wine.
Tumazong Tang (Earth Horse Mane Decoction) treats obstruction of stool and urine.
Herbs: Tumazong (Earth Horse Mane, any amount).
Usage: Wash clean with water, heat over a new brick, grind into coarse powder, take 2 qian each time, add 1 sheng of water, decoct to 0.7 sheng, remove dregs and take warm.
Zhizhi Jiu Fang (Pork Fat Wine Formula, from *Qianjin Fang*) treats obstruction of stool and urine.
Herbs: Zhizhi (Pork Lard, size of half a chicken egg).
Usage: Chop finely, add 1 sheng of wine, simmer gently, add lard, boil 1-2 more times, divide into two doses, take warm before meals.
Fa Hui San (Hair Ash Powder, from *Zhouhou Fang*) treats obstruction of stool and urine, and hematochezia.
Herbs: Luankou Hair (1 lian).
Usage: Wash clean, burn to ash, grind finely, take 3 qian each time, mixed with warm water, before meals, three times a day, stop when bowel movement is relieved.
Dongkuizi Tang (Winter Mallow Seed Decoction) treats obstruction of stool and urine.
Herbs: Dongkuizi (Malvae Semen).
Usage: Lightly stir-fry 1 lian, pound and sieve, add 2 sheng of water, decoct to 1 sheng, remove dregs, add half he of Renru (Human Milk), mix well, take on an empty stomach.
Yan Yun Fa (Salt Heat Compress) treats acute obstruction of stool and urine (from *Jiacang Jingyan Fang*).
Herbs: Yan (Sal).
Usage: Wrap salt in paper, roast red, throw into water and drink. Another method: fill umbilicus with salt for immediate relief. Another method: mix salt with Kujiu (vinegar) and apply to umbilicus. Another method: boil 3 sheng of water with 3 he of salt.
Xiaoshi Han Fa (Nitrate Inhalation/Extraction Method), another formula.
Herbs: Xiaoshi (Natrii Nitras).
Usage: Hold Xiaoshi in mouth to induce salivation and spitting.
Manjingzi You Fa (Vitex Oil Method) treats Guan-Ge blockage of stool and urine (from *Shenghui Fang*).
Herbs: Manjingzi You (Viticis Fructus Oil, 1 he).
Usage: Take on an empty stomach for immediate relief. Sweating after relief is normal.
Wobai Pi Fa (Chinese Tallow Bark Method) treats Guan-Ge obstruction of stool and urine, abdominal distension, pounding Qi, extreme chest oppression (from *Shenghui Fang*).
Herbs: Wobaishu Dongmian Baipi (White bark of Chinese Tallow tree on the east side).
Usage: Dry in shade, grind into powder. If no relief after 5-7 days, mix with hot water and take 2 qian. For urgent cases, roast on fire until dry.
Tiejiao Wan (Iron Foot Pill, also known as Zaojiao Yin, from *Shenghui Fang*) treats Guan-Ge obstruction of stool and urine lasting 3-5 days.
Herbs: Bu Zhu Zhaojiao (Sound Gleditsiae Fructus without worms).
Usage: Burn to ash, grind fine, mix with congee water, take 3 qian for immediate relief. Another method: roast Zaojiao, remove skin and seeds, grind into powder, mix with rice wine paste or refined honey to form pills.
Kuizi Zhuye Tang (Mallow Seed Bamboo Leaf Decoction) treats obstruction of stool and urine (from *Qianjin Fang*).
Herbs: Kuizi Mo (Mallow Seed Powder, 1 sheng), Qingzhuye (Green Bamboo Leaf, one handful).
Usage: Add 2 sheng of water, boil five times, take in one dose.
Another Formula (from *Qianjin Fang*) treats obstruction of stool and urine.
Herbs: Yubaidi (Ulmus Cortex, sliced, 1 sheng), Kuizi (Mallow Seed, 1 sheng).
Usage: Add 5 sheng of water, decoct to obtain 2 sheng, divide into three doses.
Another Formula (from *Qianjin Fang*) treats obstruction of stool and urine.
Herbs: Zengdai (Steamer Strap juice), Puhuang (Typhae Pollen, one cun cube).
Usage: Take three times a day.
Guyi Tang (Old Clothes Decoction) treats difficulty in stool and urine in adults and children, with large and hard abdomen (from *Jingyan Liangfang*).
Herbs: Guyi Duo Gouzhe (Dirty old clothes).
Usage: Slice 1 sheng, add 3 sheng of water, decoct to obtain 1 sheng, divide into three doses.
Hupo San (Amber Powder) treats deficiency in elderly with obstruction of stool and urine (from *Jingyan Liangfang*, also known as Hupo San).
Herbs: Zhen Hupo (True Amber).
Usage: Grind to powder, mix with Renshen Tang (Ginseng Decoction). Also treats heart pain. For elderly deficiency constipation, decoct 3 cun of Congbai (Green Onion White) in water, discard onion.
Mangxiao Jin Fu Fa (Natrii Sulfas Soaking Method) treats Guan-Ge obstruction of stool and urine, distension approaching death, fatal within 2-3 days (from *Zhouhou Fang*).
Herbs: Mangxiao (Natrii Sulfas, 2 lian).
Usage: Wrap in 3-4 layers of paper, roast in charcoal fire, soak in 1 sheng of soup, and drink. Drink 1 sheng of soup first, vomit, then take the mixture.
Kuizi Zhizhi Tang (Mallow Seed Pork Fat Decoction) treats acute Guan-Ge obstruction of stool and urine, fullness approaching death, and inability to pass stool for 10 days to a month (from *Qianjin Fang*).
Herbs: Kuizi (Mallow Seed, 2 sheng), Zhizhi (Pork Lard, size of chicken egg).
Usage: Add 4 sheng of water, decoct to obtain 1 sheng, take, add pork fat the size of a chicken egg, which is better.
Qibi Gao (Umbilical Paste) treats obstruction of stool and urine.
Herbs: Gansui (Kansui Radix, fine powder), Shengmian (Raw Flour).
Usage: Mix powder with raw flour to make paste, spread on paper, sprinkle powder on top, apply to umbilicus and hard areas below. Decoct Gancao water separately.
Gansui San (Kansui Powder, from *Wei Shi Fang*) treats obstruction of stool and urine, abdominal fullness, and urgent breathing.
Herbs: Gansui (Kansui Radix, 2 lian, red bark variety ground), Lianmi (Refined Honey, 2 he).
Usage: Mix evenly, each 1 lian weight divided into four doses, take one dose per day, downed with honey water.
Yangshi Xun Bi Fa (Sheep Dropping Nasal Fumigation) treats obstruction of stool and urine.
Herbs: Yangshi (Sheep Droppings).
Usage: Roast and fumigate nose. Also treats Zhong'e (sudden evil invasion), stabbing pain in heart and abdomen.
Congcu Feng Qi Fa (Green Onion Vinegar Umbilical Seal), another formula.
Herbs: Congbai (Green Onion White), Cu (Vinegar).
Usage: Pound Congbai, mix with vinegar, seal on lower abdomen.
Zhuyu Han Fu Fa (Evodia Containment Method), another formula.
Herbs: Zhuyu (Evodiae Fructus) southern branch.
Usage: Break off a segment the size of the middle joint of the second finger, hold in mouth for immediate effect.
Shufen Fu Qi Fa (Mouse Dropping Umbilical Application), another formula.
Herbs: Xiong Shufen (Male Mouse Droppings, pointed at both ends).
Usage: Apply to umbilicus for immediate effect.
Xianshi Fa (Amaranth Seed Method), another formula.
Herbs: Xianshi Mo (Amaranthi Fructus Powder, half lian).
Usage: Divide into two doses, mix with fresh well water and take.
Bai Fan Di Qi Fa (Alum Umbilical Drop Method), another formula.
Herbs: Bai Fan (Alumen, finely ground).
Usage: Have patient lie supine, fill umbilicus with alum powder, drip fresh well water into it. When coldness penetrates, bowel movement occurs naturally.

Usage: Heat in double boiler and take. Another method: grind into powder, take 2 qian each time, mixed with honey water.
Shenxian Dao Shui Wan (Immortal Water-Guiding Pill) treats upper excess and lower deficiency, failure of Water and Fire to ascend and descend, constipation, urinary retention, red eyes, mouth ulcers, bloody stool, dysentery, continuous vomiting and bleeding. Also treats Qi masses, pediatric spleen disease, female menstrual obstruction, male trauma.
Herbs: Muxiang (Aucklandiae Radix), Danggui (Angelicae Sinensis Radix), Zhiqiao (Aurantii Fructus, stir-fried), Huangqin (Scutellariae Radix), Huanglian (Coptidis Rhizoma), Qingpi (Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium Viride), Chenpi (Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium), Binglang (Arecae Semen), Xiangfu (Cyperi Rhizoma) (each 1 lian), Sanleng (Sparganii Rhizoma), Ezhu (Curcumae Rhizoma) (each 1 lian).
Usage: Grind into powder, mix with refined honey to form pills the size of paulownia seeds, take 20 pills each time with warm rice.
Michuan Jiedu Wan (Secret Detoxifying Pill) treats upper excess and lower deficiency, failure of Water and Fire to ascend and descend, constipation, urinary retention, red eyes, mouth ulcers, bloody stool, dysentery, continuous vomiting and bleeding. Also treats Qi masses, pediatric spleen disease, female menstrual obstruction, male trauma.
Herbs: Guanzhong (Dryopteridis Crassirhizomatis Rhizoma), Shandougen (Sophorae Tonkinensis Radix), Huangyaozi (Dioscoreophylli Rhizoma), Yaxiao (Natrii Sulfas), Hanshuishi (Aragonitum), Longdancao (Gentianae Radix), Gange (Puerariae Radix), Xiong Dadou (Yellow Soybean), Baiyaojian (Massa Medicata Fermentata), Zihache (Placentahominis), Gancao Jie (Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma nodes).

Herbs: Dutou Suan (Single-clove Garlic).
Usage: Roast熟, peel, wrap in cotton, insert into anus, Qi flows immediately.
Yangshi Guan Chang Fa (Sheep Dropping Enema) treats various abdominal diseases in adults and children, malnutrition dampness, obstruction of stool and urine.
Herbs: Yangshi (Sheep Droppings).
Usage: Decoct in water and enema.
Qingfen Zao (Calomel Date) treats constipation.

Taoye Zhi (Peach Leaf Juice) treats complete obstruction of stool and urine.
Herbs: Taoye (Peach Leaf).
Usage: Extract juice, mix and take half sheng. In winter, use Taoshupi (Peach Tree Bark).
Tianluo Fa (River Snail Method) benefits stool and urine, removes heat accumulation in abdomen, dark circles under eyes.

Herbs: Dama Zi (Hemp Seed, stir-fried, shell removed, half lian), Bajiao Huixiang (Star Anise, seven pieces).
Usage: Grind into powder, mix with 3-7 green onion whites, grind together, mix with cooked water and Wuling San.
Chenxiang San (Agarwood Powder), another formula, treats constipation due to retained food with panting (from *Yonglei Lingfang*).
Herbs: Chenxiang (Aquilariae Lignum Resinatum, 3 qian), Jing Qingpi (Pure Tangerine Peel), Sanleng (Sparganii Rhizoma), Ezhu (Curcumae Rhizoma) (each 7 qian), Badou (Crotonis Fructus, twenty-one kernels, shell removed).
Usage: Except for Chenxiang, grind others into powder, mix with Chenxiang, refine honey to form pills, take 10 pills each time with warm water.
