小便不通，是由于膀胱和肾脏都有热邪所致。肾主司水液代谢，膀胱是储存津液的器官。这两条经脉互为表里关系，而水液运行不畅会导致腹胀。
通关瞿麦汤：治疗膀胱积热引起的小便不通。
药材：瞿麦穗、芍药、大黄、当归、葵子、甘草、白榆皮、栀子仁、木通、石苇、大麻仁（各一两）。
石苇汤：治疗膀胱蕴藏热邪引起的小便不通。
药材：石苇、瞿麦穗、木通（锉碎）、葛根（锉碎）、麦门冬、黄芩、赤茯苓、冬葵子、生干地黄、滑石（各等分）。
蒲黄汤：治疗心肾有热引起的小便不通。
