Bu Xie Wan (Selected Extraordinary Formula by Master Yu) treats dry Hong Kong Jiao (Gout). It also addresses weakness in the legs and knees, and difficulty in walking.
Nanmuxiang (Aquilariae Lignum), Chuanxiong (Ligusticum Chuanxiong Rhizome), Binglang (Arecae Semen), Dahuang (Rhei Radix et Rhizoma), Damaren (Cannabis Fructus, skin removed and ground into paste), Niuxi (Achyranthis Bidentatae Radix, soaked in wine), Zhike (Aurantii Fructus Immaturus, bran-fried; each of the above is 3 liang).
Yurou (Corni Fructus; the above herbs are not fire-roasted). Add Shen Xiao Wan (from Zhu Shi Ji Yan Fang) to treat both dry and wet Hong Kong Jiao. It addresses pain deep in the bones, whether swollen or not swollen, treating all such cases.
Chuanwu (Aconiti Radix, one piece, skin slightly removed), Caowu (Aconiti Kusnezoffii Radix, half a liang, skin slightly removed), Dilong (Pheretima, half a liang, earth removed), Quanxie (Scorpio, 42 pieces, toxicity removed), Heidou (Sojae Semen Nigrum, 4 liang; take 7 pills).
Du Sheng San (from Zhu Shi Ji Yan Fang) treats both dry and wet Hong Kong Jiao, effective regardless of whether the condition is new or old.
Use one dose of Ping Wei San, finely cut Zisugeng (Pericarpium Vitisismontanae Caulis), decoct together, and take orally. If it is wet Hong Kong Jiao, one dose can cure it. Do not use the leaves of Zisugeng.
Wind-dampness toxic qi invading the human body mostly starts from the lower part, with the feet receiving the pathogen first, hence named Hong Kong Jiao. The toxic qi ascends along the meridians into the lungs, causing rapid and forced breathing.

Guiling Tang (Cinnamon Twig and Poria Decoction) treats Hong Kong Jiao upper qi rebellion with panting and fullness, and epigastric irritability.
Gui (Cinnamomi Ramulus, coarse bark removed, 3 liang), Zexie (Alismatis Rhizoma, chopped), Chi Fuling (Polyporus with Reddish Host, black skin removed and chopped), Ganjiang (Zingiberis Rhizoma [processed, each 3 (2) liang]). Make into powder. Take 3 qian per dose.
Damaizi Tang (Hemp Seed Decoction) treats Hong Kong Jiao with swelling, fullness, irritability, and rapid panting.
Damaizi (Cannabis Fructus, fried), Binglang mo (Arecae Semen powder, 1 qian), Shengjiang zhi (Fresh Ginger Juice, 1 he). First, take one cup of urine from an uncircumcised boy, grind hemp seed juice and Arecae Semen powder [text cuts off], raw.
Zisu Tang (Perilla Leaf Decoction) treats Hong Kong Jiao upper qi, regardless of cold or heat, addressing all qi disorders.
Zisuye (Perillae Folium, 1.5 liang, chopped), Baifuling (Poria, black skin removed, 1 liang), Chenju pi (Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium, soaked in water, white pith removed, roasted, half a liang). Make into powder. Take 3 qian per dose.

Sha [corrupted], Niuxi (Achyranthis Bidentatae Radix), Xixin (Asari Radix et Rhizoma, each 3 liang). Make into fine powder, mix with wine and take one cun-bi (measure), twice daily. Effective after 4-5 doses.
Sangbaipi Tang (Mori Cortex Decoction) treats Hong Kong Jiao with swelling of face and eyes, upper qi rebellion, inability to sleep, and impending qi depletion.
Sanggenbaipi (Mori Cortex, roasted yellow, 3 liang), Chenju pi (Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium, soaked in water, white pith removed, roasted, 1 liang), Tinglizi (Descurainiae Semen Lepidii seu Lepidii Semen, roasted on paper until yellow-purple, pounded separately, 2 liang).

Zisu Tang (from Sheng Hui Fang) treats Hong Kong Jiao with persistent upper qi rebellion.
Sujingye (Perillae Caulis et Folium, 3 liang), Baiqian (Cynanchi Stauntonii Rhizoma, 1 liang), Sangbaipi (Mori Cortex, 2 liang, chopped). Make into powder. Take 4 qian per dose, decoct with one cup of water, add half a portion of fresh ginger.
Muxiang Binglang Tang (Aucklandia and Areca Nut Decoction) treats Hong Kong Jiao rushing to the heart, irritability, and rapid upper qi panting.
Muxiang (Aucklandiae Radix, 3 qian), Binglang (Arecae Semen, half a liang, chopped). Make into powder. Take 3 qian per dose, one cup of water, add two cun of broken Scallion White (Congbai), boil down to seven parts, remove dregs.
Binglang Tang (Arecae Semen Decoction) (from Sheng Hui Fang) treats upper qi rebellion.
Binglang (Arecae Semen, 3 (2) to 7 pieces, crushed), Xingren (Pruni Armeniaci Semen, 4 to 7 pieces, skin and pointed kernels removed, pounded). Boil one sheng of urine down to half a sheng, divide into two doses, taken five to six li apart [to promote urination].

Damaren (Cannabis Fructus, 3 he), Binglang (Arecae Semen, 1 liang, powdered). First grind the hemp seeds into a paste, mix with Arecae Semen powder until uniform, form pills the size of Sophora japonica seeds. Take [dose missing].
Shengjiang Zhi Yin (Fresh Ginger Juice Drink) treats Hong Kong Jiao upper qi with severe oppression, opens the stomach appetite, and enables eating.
Use 4 liang of fresh ginger, pound with skin to extract natural juice. In the morning, take half a he, mix with half a he of warm water, and drink. Take one dose every time one walks ten li.
Wandou Tang Lin Xie Fang (Pea Decoction for Washing) treats Hong Kong Jiao with shoulder-lifting panting.
Use 2 sheng of peas, 5 dou of water, 10 stems of broken Scallion White (Congbai), 3 fen of pepper (Jiao). Boil to obtain 2 dou of decoction. Pour into two porcelain urns, place each foot in one.
Treats Hong Kong Jiao with upper qi entering the abdomen and swelling.
Use wild pepper root (Ye Jiaogen), remove soil and skin, finely chop 1 sheng. Place in a bottle with 2 sheng of wine, seal the neck with mud, boil once over fire, then take one cup warm.
Treats Hong Kong Jiao upper qi (from Zhou Hou Fang).
Take a carp (Jiyu) one chi long, prepare as sashimi (Kuai) and eat. One liang taken at once will cure it. Carp (Li Yu) is also good.
