Regarding "Shi Qi" (Seasonal Epidemic Disease), the Small Intestine is the Fu organ of the Heart. The Heart and Small Intestine are interior-exteriorly related. If Heat in the Heart persists for a long time without resolution, and after sweating, Body Fluids become deficient and reduced, failing to moisten and irrigate, the pathogenic Heat-Toxin flows into the Small Intestine. This causes urinary obstruction.
